Do not take your kids here for swim lessons! I signed up my nine month old in the parent/tot class thinking it would be a great introduction to the water. First, all of the swim lessons are taught on the same night, so the waiting area and dressing room are completely packed with kids of all ages. They have one room to change a baby and it is always taken (surprise, surprise), so I ended up carrying my soaking wet baby out to my cold car to change him after the lessons. Now, the lessons were taught by an 18-something year old girl that talked so fast it was hard to understand her. She didnt understand that my nine-month old baby wasnt walking yet and tried to make us follow along with the other class mates who were all at least twice my babies age. We were shuffled through the pool from lesson to lesson in a frantic matter because all we had was 30 minutes until the next "wave" of children came into the pool for their lessons. I spoke to a front desk girl and requested a refund because the class was not geared towards a younger infant and they refused to give me a refund. She spoke to her boss who agreed it would be better if my baby was older than a year and could walk before taking the lessons. Still, they would not offer anything but a voucher to return later when he was older. Why would I want to return later to your "mill" style swim lessons that are overcrowded and taught by a high schooler who needs extra cash. If you want to pay $65 (that is non-refundable) and waste your time, this is the place. Since they will not refund my money, I will we going to the pool during the swim lessons with my baby and do my own thing. Oh, and plan to use your car if you want to change, its a zoo!

I left this gym years ago due to the lousy equipment and their misrepresentation of what was available. When I signed up I was assured I would have access to the indoor pool in the a.m. to do my physical therapy. 9 times out of 10 it was closed due to classes. I found the staff to be incompetent and down right rude. I have even heard the lead pool instructor bad mouthing people from her classes in public, which is inappropriate and if I were paying her $50 an hour for instruction I would be very angry if she were talking about me in a disrespectful way in public. The final straw was when the nursery released my kids to NO ONE and I found them wandering around the front hall, inches from the door out to the parking lot, not knowing what to do. They could have easily been taken by any one. The staff at Lacamas refused to acknowledge their mistake and I terminated my contract. Dont waste your money. There are better gyms in town.

I am hard pressed to give this place 1 star. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS THERE FOR SWIMMING LESSONS. Today my 4 year old almost drowned. For real - No Joke. The teeny booper instructor never put the rope up between 3 feet water and deeper. When he was rating the kids on a skill, he turned around and payed NO ATTENTION to the kids. My kid unbenownced to him started walking too deep. The instructor had NO IDEA. Since the doors to the pool are locked your stuck. My child started to drown. Luckily my wife caught the kid instructors attention by slamming on the windows, just in time to grab him. The aloof owner standing at the front counter did not bat an eye. I am ashamed to say we know someone else this happened to. Almost same exact situation and all. BOYCOTT this joint.

Ive been a member of Lacamas Swim and Sports for over 2 years. So many good instructors come and go, and the owner is rude and unhelpful. She has poor management and customer service skills and her attitude is basically "take it or leave it, we dont care". One of my main reasons for staying with them was because of the excellent blast trainer Bruce. His classes were the best in the entire group fitness and now I find out hes gone too - probably because the owner treats the trainers and staff as poorly as she treats the customers. Now I just go for Karens yoga and pilates classes, which are awesome. But if she leaves, Im canceling my membership. Denise the owner needs to go on a management and customer service course or shell keep hemorrhaging customers.

I have been a member here for 3 1/2 years. Only reason I remain is that it is the only choice close to home. Weekend crew is pretty good but I echo others comments on the owner. She is not particularly pleasant to deal with. I have been embarrassed at her treatment of some staff members. I will leave there if/when there is another, close option. Also, beware. They close or modify hours for unofficial "holidays" like Mothers Day (Closed) and Fathers Day ( modified hours). Go figure on that one as I do not know the difference on why you would close on one and modify on the other. Very disappointed with the club but there is literally no alternative. Much of the staff is very rude.

Beyond poor service!!!! Beware of fees, signed up for one year contract, after year was over they continued to charge me monthly without any contact, refused to refund over $300 in charges. When I went to cancel membership, which apparently you can only do there, they could not print contract in order to close my account. Waste of money again with gas and time. Also when I contacted the manager about the fees they were continuing to charge to my bank account, she conveniently did not tell me that memberships have to be terminated by the 8th of you get charged another month. Which of course they charged me for, this place is a scam and will do anything to get your money!!!

The club itself is fine but the management is HORRIBLE!! There is always different people in the kids club and they go through staff so quick its sad. The topper for me is when i witnessed their GM being an absolute jerk to an elderly women who was asking about pickle ball prices. It was uncalled for and showed the lack of common courtesy expected from a guest service position.

Good facilities, trainers & front desk staff. The owner however is the worst thing about this club. Proper management, upkeep and a more well rounded program would do wonders for this club. Unfortunately the owner is cheap and does not reinvest in her club. She only gives priority to items that are of personal interest to her or her pocketbook - swim & ironman.

I have been a member for 17 years with ups and downs. The management has struggled in the last few years, but they have made some changes with staff, added new equipment and are adding new classes. I had a recent issue and Nathan went above and beyond to resolve it. I hope to see the continued improvement at LS&S as it is a nice club for our community.
