Rented a 10x10 space for 4 months. Recommend that you avoid this business if at all possible, there are better alternatives nearby. Both on-line & on site signage displayed an offer of first month for $1. When I requested that special, I was told "that offer is not good at this location". I suggested that they should take down the sign, the response was "Id get in trouble if I did that". When renting a space they insist that you purchase "mandatory" insurance. Of course, this insurance is not required, nor is it a good policy. High price, and covers very little. They also go to great lengths to sell you one of their high-priced locks. Since I was unsure of my eventual move-out date, I specifically asked how much "lead time" was necessary before moving out. The answer was "you are only obligated for 24 hours notice". However, when I closed out my storage space, the same person (Chris) told me I was obligated for the full month (26 more days). Chris did share my displeasure with the site Manager who called later that day. However, the call was not to resolve the issue, but to merely reiterate it is a "month to month" lease, and that it does not matter what I was told by their employee when renting.

**UPDATE** I will leave my original statement about Public Storage so anyone who wants to read it can, BUT I will add that the next day their corporate office reached out to me and they were also very helpful. They listened to my concerns and made logical solutions for my problems. Thank you. **ORIGINAL POST** It does what it needs to as a storage facility, gives you the space you need and offers all the things you might need when moving. The staff is great, Chris made the experience very easy, BUT there are A LOT of hidden fees/false advertisement! Dont expect to get your unit for $1 on the first month because by the end of the set up process youll be paying the same as the normal monthly rental fees! Also, if in the end you do still decide to book with them, as I did, book online. It cost $20 less every month if you book online instead of calling or book in person.

we got a great deal on a unit here. the total process was painless and took about 30 minutes. the facility is well maintained.The employees are helpful and courteous. one staff member in particular,Jeremy. Honestly, he deserves recognition for his great attitude and willingness to help really sets the bar for professionalism and customer service. He always greets us with a smile has really made and continues to make storing at public storage a positive one. The on-site manager seems to be doing a faboulous job and has been patient and understanding to our needs. I rocommend this facility for anyone looking for a storage unit.

Moving time. Time to play the game. My moving experience was going terrible. The evolution of moving these days leads to the feeling of getting hit by a sledgehammer. However, renting here made everything just slightly easier. This place has a pedigree that stretches back for years. My dad rented here in the 80s. Now, here I am D. Generation X renting here too. Rob was awesome with me and Matt was quick to answer my questions and help me when I couldnt figure out my lock. Ladies and gentlemen boys and girls, children of all ages... Rent here. And if youre not down with that, Ive got two words for ya.... DO IT!

5 stars for excellent customer service!!! Renae was extremely helpful, kind and accommodating. She made the stress of moving/storage a little bit easier. In addition, I received the fastest call-back after submitting a reservation request. My one criticism for Public Storage as a whole would be to outline ALL the move in costs up front, instead of waiting until you have to hand over your credit card. It was only $1 for the first month ( +administrative fees + buying the new required locks + renters insurance if you dont already have it = way more than $1)

Jeff and Renae are pleasant and helpful. Just beware that when you sign up at this location, you become the unwitting customer of the corporate office of Public Storage. I was reassured when I moved in that I need not worry about significant rate increases. 6 months later my rates increased by 20%. Jeff and Renae could do nothing because rates are set by corporate. If you intend to stay for awhile, know that Public Storage will take advantage of your loyalty by increasing rates until they extract as much money as possible from you.

Normally, I would never consider the importance of a storage unit until I realised just how valauble my contents are and how much care the managers take looking out for my stuff. Rene from the Kirkland facility goes so far above what I would ever expect that I cant say enough about how happy I am with her...She keeps a very watchful eye on the grounds and the units making it so I dont have to worry at all... If you are in need of a first class facility to store your valuables, go check them out... They get a double thumbs up from me...

My moving day was a disaster until I got to Public Storage and Paul L. an employee on his lunch break stopped everything to help me get straighened out. He didnt hesitate to give up his lunch time, get me one of those rolling cart things, and provide me with lock keys and paperwork in a jiffy. He was so genuine and helpful, he treated me like I was his Mom or next door neighbor. Thank you for helping me despite me doing everything wrong and infringing on your personal lunch too. You are the greatest Paul!

I called around looking for the best prices for a couple of weeks, even though each Public Storage has different prices each day, what brought me back to this location was the staff. Renae and Jeff were great and so extremely helpful and courteous. This is an excellent facility with a wide variety of storage options. Everything was clean, and the grounds were immaculate. What really made the difference was the staff, BIG thanks to Renae and Jeff. I highly recommend Kirkland Public Storage.

I really liked my experience here. It was quick and painless, and the manager Rob was funny and personable. There are some added fees when you decide to show up that arent explained when you make a reservation, but it wasnt that big of a deal. Ive rented at another couple storage places in the past, but this was the smoothest a move in has gone. This location is sort of tucked away in an industrial section of Kirkland, but its easy to find if you use Google maps.

Brandon was extremely professional and helpful in helping us find and select the best storage unit for our needs. Chris also helped make sure we were taken care of and offered great advice. Their prompt service got us in and out very quickly without rushing or pressuring. Would recommend them to anyone on the east side looking for storage (even over other public storage facilities or if youre not right in Kirkland.)

My experience setting up my Public Storage account was swift and the assistance I received to expedite my transition by Rob was exceptional. I was impressed with how he worked with me to get me in quickly, as my time was extremely limited. He communicated clearly and was very straightforward, showed me the space, and was very kind about it. I highly suggest this place, and the service these guys provide.
