I called almost a week and a half ago to set up a reservation for a tow hitch install. Called back last week to verify that the correct wiring was going to be in place (I need 4/7 pin combo hookup, and the invoice said 4 pin). The lady that I spoke with said that she would send a message to the store manager and correct the invoice, and that I would be receiving the call back. It is now two days before my install, and I have yet to receive a call back or ever actually get ahold of anyone at the store. Every single time I try to call, it routes me to the call center... I need a hitch for this weekend, which is why I called several weeks in advance. Im hoping that things are going to change, Im going to get a call back, and this issue can get corrected, at which point I will update my review. In the meantime, I am absolutely disgusted with the service at this location. I have rented trailers and trucks from this particular store for years, and it has never been this bad until recently. - - - - - - - - - - - - Update: Location called me the day of my installation to let me know that although they had an order in the system, no one had actually EVER placed the order for the part and they didnt have it. Told them I would have to go elsewhere. They called me back about 15 minutes later to let me know they had a different one that would work, although they would have to CHARGE ME MORE for it (which seems absolutely f**cking ridiculous considering the fact that Ive been trying to call the store for two weeks, but whatever, they waited to tell me this until Im backed into a corner). He also told me he can throw in the stinger and ball for only $25 (such a deal as they are $25 in store). Ended up going in and getting the work done, and picking up an adapter because although they claimed not to have the combo 4/7 pin Mount (which they had on the Shelf) they installed only a 7-pin. Get home and try it out only to determine that either the wiring or the adapter is faulty and end up having to go back and spend another 20 minutes (plus 1 hr of drive time) with a very polite although not (apparently) exceedingly experienced young man who eventually determined that the adapter was faulty (my fault for not having a tester available, I guess). All in all, giving it 1 star because the tow hitch got taken care of in time for me to make my event. Thoroughly and ridiculously unimpressed by the lack of customer service, and the fact that the store wasnt even willing to offer any kind of discounts or take responsibility for the extensive failed returned contact (the justification I was told was that the manager is on vacation and apparently no one knows how to check the messages that the customer service line sends to him). The fact that I repeatedly attempted to get this situation resolved ahead of time, that the staff seemed generally Unapologetic for having wasted a large amount of my time, and the fact that I did not get at all what I asked for and it ended up costing me more... This is not how you do business, and it seems to me that someone needs to do a reevaluation of their business practices. As a business owner myself, I know I would have a heart attack if I read a review like this. It seems, however, that some people count on a captive audience to overcome shoddy service.

If I could give this ZERO stars I would. I made an appointment for the ONLY day we could come in to have a trailer hitch receiver installed. I was told the receiver was in and that if I held the reservation it would ensure it would get done. I made the appointment at least a week in advance. My husband shows up and they tell him first that they dont have our reservation. Then they find the reservation and it was moved two days later. They admit they moved it 2 days later because they didnt have the receiver, but they also admit they emailed it (which I NEVER received) WHO MOVES A RESERVATION AND DOESNT MAKE A PHONE CALL!?!??????????????? The manager then says they had a cancellation so they can do the appointment but service guy checks and the part is not in. We suggest they get the part from Napa Auto Parts and install it, but they refuse and say if you get the part from them cant they just install it? Woulnt want this guy working on my car anyway since he clearly doesnt even know what Napa is. WORST EXPERIENCE WITH UHAUL EVER!! Called Pep Boys 2 miles away and they had it installed within an hour of walking out of Uhaul, when Uhaul quoted a 3 hour installation. Pep Boys for the win!

Having read reviews that told of U Haul giving one price over the phone or at the start of a hitch installation and, then, when you get to the store, or they finish your installation, the cost is difference, I asked very specifically to confirm that the cost given over the phone, included it all. When I got to this store, the statement went from 243 to 312 because the U Haul with whom I spoke "always left off certain parts," that they were "incompetent." Now, the person behind the desk said I should trust her, though other reviewers found the people in the store dishonest also. I didnt want to take the chance. I wouldnt trust any estimate or any work. Wish there were a rating lower than one star. This place, all U Haul, deserves it.

Half of the employees here have a lot of hustle and great customer service skills. The GM of this place, however, is pretty awful. He is painfully slow and incredibly dismissive of customers. And there are a few employees who follow his regrettable example. Not all of them though, thank god! This place has a ton of one star reviews and after visiting myself I understand why. Tips for making your experience a pleasant, time-effective one: Check in early online. Be prepared to leave the rental purchase on the card you booked it on. Otherwise youll have to wait in a long, very slow moving line on pickup and drop-off. My tips are designed to avoid both and I was successfully able to do so.

The truck that I rented was not the greatest. The ABS light would come on and off. when coming to a stop the truck would shift really hard, not normal! The Gas gauge was all over the place. I had to put gas in it right away because I did not feel safe driving it not knowing the real amount of gas in it. and to TOP it off when I went to return it I went to use the headlights as it was getting dark, and the dash lights would flicker as I was driving. So I dont even know if the head lights were working. I have called U-Haul twice to report these issue/concerns and have not heard a word back from them. This is truly crappy customer service. TOTAL DISAPPOINTED and will not use them again.

Two week long issue. Came in to the Everett store and then I had to drive to Kirkland to pick up trailer hitch. Came back could not install even after when they said they could if I picked up the hitch. So then I had to wait over a week for a scheduled apt. On day of scheduled apt I have been here 3 hrs and still not started. Dont make apt if you cant deliver on service. Worst service I have ever gotten. No apology no break in price nothing. Left after 3 1/2 hrs still not installed. Do not go to here for anything. Worst service ever. A sorry would have been nice. The manger should be fired he could not manage a card board box let alone a store with employees.
