We had them do the cabinets for both an upstairs master and then a downstairs master bath for my dads addition. The stain on the upstairs master seemed patchy, I mentioned it to my contractor and to Spencers and they blamed it on the wood choice, alder. So I went with the more expensive cherry for the downstairs bath, it was also uneven, which they said was due to the molding taking the stain differently than the doors. Went to the shop and they showed how they could do an extra coating using a door with the same stain. That evened it out. But they would charge time and materials to make it look right and wouldnt even give a rough quote. So had no idea how much it would cost me. I decided to go to another cabinet maker for our kitchen and laundry and had no problem with the stain on either the alder or walnut cabinets. Customer service if there is a problem is not their strong point. I had two other home remodels in the past which included two large kitchens, multiple baths and a library, using both alder and cherry and never had these problems before. Used at least 5 different contractors and both big and small companies.

Dottie and Carl were great to work with and built us beautiful cabinets. Dottie designed everything and gave us a price that we were comfortable with. When we wanted to make some changes she always made it easy. Carl came out to laser measure the room and consult us on all the technical details. And later meticulously organized and reviewed every cabinet. We were planning to install ourselves. That didnt work out because the walls in our 1962 house were out of level and beyond my expertise. They were happy to hold our cabintes untill Chris from Janris Construction could squeeze us in his busy schedule. Chris was the best contractor Ive had work on my house. Thanks for your referral list Spencers. We choose shaker style Cherry cabinets with a nutmeg finish. We have never bought cabinets before but did look around when we made this purchase. We are very happy that we choose Spencers.

Spencers built all our cabinets eight years ago. They have held up so well. Way am I just now posting a review. Because we had a leak from our instant hot and it ruined the bottom of our cabinet. They were very generous and kind, gave us a trim replacement piece at no charge and were most thoughtful. Carl and Dotty are hands on owners and they have great pride in their product and taking care of all their customers. We now plan to have them build our cabinets for our new home in Entiat because we know their work will last. Thank you Carl and Dotty.
