From the moment I walked in for my very first lesson I felt appreciated and listened to. They asked me what my goals were and together we set up a plan to get me to where I wanted to be. I could tell they genuinely cared about what had happened in the past and wanted me to succeed. All of the instructors were highly skilled and each encouraged fun and laughter. They progressed at a pace that was comfortable for me but at the same time really pushed me to do my personal best. The supervisors regularly checked in with me to review my progress or assist in a step I was not getting. After just a few lessons even the other students knew my name and chatted with me during breaks. Even when they suggested I take lessons from visiting coaches that were above and beyond my normal lesson plan I never once felt like I was being fleeced for money. It was suggested because there was something I could learn. Finally I felt relaxed enough to do the unthinkable, I went to a group class… this was different though; there were smaller classes for different levels so I didn’t feel the least bit overwhelmed. After, at the weekly party everyone asked me to dance. The initial investment was expensive but the pay off has been so much more that I expected. My self confidence is skyrocketing. Im dancing at clubs and events now without worrying who is watching and I no longer feel like the fat guy trying to learn to dance. I’m just the guy who can.

If you want to Dance this is the place!! I started dancing at the North Seattle Studio about two years ago with no experience and honestly with trepidation! Overtime I have attempted to learn ballroom dancing at different locations in the Seattle area but grew frustrated with the lack of focused instruction, large ratio of students to teachers and the absence of commitment from instructors to help you grow your dancing skills. Here, at the North Seattle Studio, the experience was completely different. After day 1 I walked away feeling confident that I can learn how to dance and the rest is history. Spending a pleasant evening with this Studio’s instructors and students, learning, dancing, feeling welcome and comfortable and most importantly having fun and laughing is a special feeling to conclude a lovely day! This team of fantastic instructors will help you ease into dancing with grace and confidence. The students are an amazing group of dancers that are welcoming and that make sure you are involved and comfortable. This is the place to dance and to learn how to dance. I highly recommend this Studio!!!!!

Brimming with energy, support, encouragement and generosity, this Lower Queen Anne Arthur Murray Dance center is an oasis for people of all ages and skill levels. I have never encountered such a bright and authentically joyful group of teachers. They make this studio feel like an extended family of friends. What a wonderful place to grow and thrive. The instructors are supreme: they are excellent teachers who are talented, compassionate and so fun to be around!
