Reflective listening to the client is just as important as talent, and Sam has both in spades! My previous stylist of 8+ years opened her new salon too far away and I needed to find someone new. Cue the nerves. I called Bocz after googling “best haircuts in downtown Seattle.” They fit me in that day with Sam. Not only had I had the same stylist for so many years, a **guy** had never cut my hair. Cue more nerves. But I was assured Sam was great. Another reviewer referenced the staff as being down-to-earth. Yep! Very much so. Friendly, explain the changing robe/room situation to first-timers, and all-around helpful. The salon itself is bustling, but the chairs are separated out by little cube-like things. It’s in a beautiful vintage building on Sixth Avenue. I love it when places are equal parts upscale and down-to-earth. Love. My. Haircut. Sam took an hour-plus to listen, explain, and do a fabulous job. I don’t imagine it will take that long for future cuts, but it was obvious he was taking extra time and care to make sure I left happy. Super impressed, and grateful to find a new stylist 4-minutes’ walking distance from my office!

I felt completely taken advantage of by Meg. I was told over the phone the trim and highlights I described I wanted were around 120. I also specifically showed Meg pictures of what I wanted. She ended up doing something that was completely different than what I asked for (balayage) and charged me 210$ for it. I requested a few peek-a-boo highlights and a trim. Although I ended up feeing okay about the hair, I was shocked at how much i was charged...for something I did not ask for. I think because Im 17 she though that she could take advantage of me. Im super disappointed at how I was taken for a ride and I will definitely not be returning. Its sad because I had such high hopes for this salon but walked out feeling completely robbed. I may be in high school but I know how much a subpar haircut should be. Anyone that takes advantage of a young girl should honestly not be working here. Shame on you Meg

I was in town with my husband while he attended a conference and I decided to get my roots done (Im blonde). They took walk ins and I worked with Danielle. She was great and my color turned out fantastic. The price was reasonable and the customer service at the front desk was friendly and helpful. They knew I was not local and probably wouldnt be a repeat customer, yet they treated me like someone who they wanted at a regular. I was very impressed and very pleased. I would absolutely go back. Thank you!

Ive struggled to find a consistently reliable colorist, and I can say with absolute certainty that Ive found that person here at Bocz Salon. Carter Rene is amazing--she listens carefully to what youre looking for, and will talk through exactly what she thinks will work (and will find photo examples if you didnt bring any to your appointment). In the end, my color always looks great.

Danielle is fabulous! She has mad skills and her color and cuts are amazing. After five minutes you feel like youve known her since grade school. The salon is modern but not kitschy and the front staff is friendly and welcoming. As a bonus its located about 1/2 block from Nordstrom. My friends and co-workers always compliment me and many now go to Danielle too.

Kimber is the best colorist I know. She has been doing my color for almost a decade. I have been coloring my hair since I was a teen and have used colorists on both Coasts and abroad.No one compares to her. She is intelligent,thoughtful, funny and makes me feel like a Princess when I am in her chair....and best of all she actually listens to you. By Amanda L.

From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by all at the reception desk. The coffee is always on, there are comfortable chairs in the waiting area and even a vanity mirror and area to prep before you leave. All of the work I see done by the stylists look great. My stylist Tony colors my hair so well strangers compliment me.

WHAT A RIP OFF !!! If youd like your intelligence to be insulted by phony and fake staff and get totally opposite of what you ask for, go to Bocz. I was totally over charged for mediocre haircut. They called themselves stylist.. I could have cut my own hair better....Thank God its just hair, it will grow back...

Julianna is the best sylist! She is so good at balayage. my hair cuts and color ALWAYS look fabulous. she really helps me know how to do my own hair and recommends some products that i can use. i have been using her for 5 years now and i wont let anyone else touch my hair. always going back to her.

This haircut is fantastic- I had a few inches taken off the bottom and middle layers of my long hair. She not only cut and cleaned it up wonderfully, she recommended a great product to me and had me feeling completely sexy! I cant wait to go back :) I will ask for her specifically!

My experience has always been superb. Ive been going there for about 10 years. The stylist and colorists have always been So SKILLED. Experience and training go a long way here. I see Andrea. She is top notch for Color and Style. She is the only one I trust with My Blonde.

Marc is absolutely A1 tops colorist in Seattle. He previously worked in California and learned his techniques from the best and it shows. Very affable, intelligent and obviously great artist. Hes also quick! The best!
