Ive been going here for years and I can say "They actually know WHAT they are doing." Whereas before, they had a lot of unprofessional black guys there who were lazy in service, ALL those people are gone (this change seemed to have taken place in 2015) and the people there now are real professionals and can do all kinds of hair. The decor is better with sleek wooden floors and you feel safe in the barbers chair since the cutters there are attentive to what you need. Forgetting the sometimes shady area, this place is a nicely held downtown secret, squirreled away on James and 3rd. Now, Remember - Make an appointment, because, although they will gladly take walk-ins, theyre really popular and so quite busy. But dont worry - once youre in your chair, theyll give you a great personalized haircut at a great reasonable price, so its worth it.

Very friendly, great cut and shave for a price that is beyond reasonable (especially in Seattle). Ive tried a few different places in the area and have been sticking with Clean Cuts for around a year now and have never been disappointed. I am not someone who typically enjoys getting their hair cut, but I can honestly say I actually look forward to going in since finding this place. If not just for the cut and shave, but for the conversation with the staff who always keep it interesting.

Good cuts. Good service. Nice people. One complaint I have is the wait. Last couple times I called I wanted to have an appointment. But they dont take appointment for buzz cuts, as I was informed. Theyll happily tell me when a good time is for a walkin buzz cut though. And by "good time" they mean that the wait will be between 5 and 45 minutes. They get the buzz done well, and cheap, and do work hard to fit me in. But sometimes the wait is longer than Id like.

I just started working downtown again, went here thinking it would be nice to have a shop close to work. When I walked in they looked at me like I was in the wrong place and sent me 8 blocks away to get cash because they don’t take cards, (there is a cash machine around the corner) Treat me like a Jake? I’m good; ill spend the extra 10 buck to get treated well.

Everyone there are all super friendly and goofy! They really connect with their customers. I had an awesome experience and I say this is the place to go for an awesome shave and haircut. This my favorite place to get my haircut. I also insist you should call to schedule an appointment too!

Used Google Maps to find a place in downtown while I was in Seattle on business. Dont judge a book by its cover....incredibly talented and funny barbers that can cut any hair type for any ethnicity...only place in the city that will do that. Migel rocks!

Didnt charge as advertised, super unfriendly, location is awful and shop is a mess... Barber spent the entire time while she was cutting my hair talking to the other barbers and clients about smoking pot.
