I am a business owner in Kirkland, Washington. I first contacted Joseph S. Simmons Construction of Seattle in October of 2008 for a remodel of my office space. I chose to contact this construction company initially because a friend spoke highly of them. After discussing the details of my office remodel project at a walk through, Joseph Simmons Construction prepared an excellent menu proposal within a couple of days as promised. They were very knowledgeable and put a great deal of thought into the project. The proposal was broken out with descriptions of what each item was. I let one other company bid our project and we ended up choosing Joseph S. Simmons Construction as our General Contractor. The total tenant improvement was around 46K. The project was completed on time and without any change orders due to the contractors error. We did have 7 additional change orders but these were because we wanted to add some additional kitchen items that we did not previously consider. The superintendent, Sunri was an excellent communicator and he kept the construction site clean and on schedule. I was very satisfied with the entire process with Joe Simmons and his construction team that I ended up hiring them for a second tenant improvement of our office space in 2009. I am very pleased with my multiple project experience with Joseph Simmons Construction. I highly recommend them to anyone who has a commercial construction project that needs to be completed. They will use integrity in everything they do. They are trust worthy and have vast experience in commercial construction! Thank you Joseph S. Simmons Construction! I had the privileged of working for Joe Simmons and along side project manager Todd Hartmann as a project manager myself from 2007 - 2009. After seeing first hand the principles this company operates from I have the utmost respect for both Joe and Todd. Both of these men are extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of commercial construction. Throughout my short stint here I constantly saw them providing quality communication to our clients and creative solutions to a variety of construction needs. Estimates were prepared thoroughly and thoughtfully. Much time and preparation was put into every component of a project from initial site visits, to estimates, to schedule planning and materials ordering to job site cleanup and superintendent and owner communications. As a team Joseph S. Simmons Construction was never lacking in attention to details. They were always very professional and helpful to their clients. Weekly meetings were held like clockwork for the office team. Professional negligence had no part in our day to day dealings. Joe Simmons has created a team that always has the clients best interests in mind. Value Engineering is a critical part of the DNA of this company. Even when it means less of a reward for the company, I witnessed Joe Simmons on several occasions make decisions to change various project elements that only financially benefited the client. Joseph S. Simmons Construction is a fantastic ethical company of high integrity that I highly recommend to anyone in need of construction services! We called Joseph S. Simmons Construction when our office was relocating to Seattle. The new space we were occupying didnt have a layout that suited us, so after getting a referral to call this company, we did. Todd promptly came out and walked the space with us then provided a bid. The estimate was detailed and easy to understand. His price came in within budget so we proceeded with the project. Todd and his construction team completed on schedule and they didnt have any increases in price. Todd was very helpful and communicated very well with us. Thank you Joseph S. Simmons Construction for doing an awesome job for AWU! We are happy we found you!
