USPS is CORRUPT and UNETHICAL. No mail was being delivered to my newly constructed home. I visited this USPS and spoke with the Postmaster there. The postmaster stated that USPS had received a big bag of keys that were the carrier access keys, but had not received the user keys to the new mail boxes, and could not deliver mail to me. I spoke to and visited the builder and USPS several times and determined that the Postmaster was wrong, that USPS had all the keys for more than a month. Sent USPS registered mail with return receipt to myself. Never came, no return signature. Called again & was told my registered mail was there waiting for the new mail box keys to be set up. About 2 weeks later my mail was finally delivered, including bills so delayed as to be past due. Checked USPS tracking and found that USPS had entered into their system that my registered mail had been delivered weeks prior to the time it was actually delivered. I never did get the return receipt that I paid for. Phoned and they lied. Filled in the complaint form - USPS made it nearly impossible to complete the complaint because they still had not entered my address into their data base of known addresses and known is required to make complaint. A USPS employee eventually phoned but did not agree that any of this was incorrect, it was proper for the registered mail to be marked as delivered long before it was delivered. I did not concur. I asked to escalate this and he declined. I could find no further recourse. So their complaint system is also broken. This could be corrected by allowing the receiver to input when they received their parcel, if at all.

They dont even deserve one star. I got a notice that I have a package that they are holding for my signature yesterday. This morning, I was there to pick it up; being very excited since it was an engagement ring that my fiancé bought for me. I was kept waiting at the counter (without any communication) for 15 minutes then the counter clerk said that the supervisor is looking for it. Another ten minutes later, the supervisor appears and says that they cant find it. She asks for my phone number so that they can call me if and when they find it. Ok, I know were all human and we make mistakes. What really I find disturbing is that they didnt apologize once during this whole debacle. In fact, when I went back to see if they found it, the female employee says that she was ready to say sorry but I left too soon! She refers me to a male supervisor, Jaspar, who is aloof and defensive. Again, no apology or any empathy. Yes, they now know its an engagement ring. Wow, I teach Customer Service Training for a living and this is absolutely one of the worst scenarios that I have seen. I will be sharing it as an example of what not to do. These are all civil servants whose salary we all pay with our taxes. However, my bet is that the system is set up so that none of them could be fired or put on any performance improvement system. So why should they care? We have a lousy system. Arrrgh. A very upset and frustrated customer

Our business recently moved to Shoreline. We were supposed to receive an international package from the UK. Due to a problem with the landlord obtaining a key for the mailbox, we hadnt had access to add our name to the mailbox, but the international parcel wouldnt fit in the box anyway which would have forced a physical delivery attmpe, and our business front door is around 50 feet from the box. Instead of doing any due diligence and verifying our business was truly not there, this lazy post office and its carrier returned the item. They could have looked my business up online and verified our address or called. Nope. Within 24 hours, the package was returned from Seattle to San Francisco en route back to UK. When I called this post office to complain, they acted like it wasnt their fault. It totally is. This is laziness. UPS and FedEx have been delivering here for weeks without skipping a beat, yet the USPS government workers are too inept to make a real delivery attempt and make sure an important international package makes it to its recipient. After this experience, I have now spent 2 hours on hold at USPS 800 number with no resolution. Awful all around!

Awful! I was expecting a package from the Netherlands which took 2 weeks to ship to Seattle, then after it arrived in Seattle, I had to wait ANOTHER TWO WEEKS to actually get the package. First, a notice was left because no one answered the door. So I scheduled a redelivery for the next day. The package never came, so I scheduled another redelivery. No delivery attempt was made in a week. I was busy so I couldnt make it to their post office on a weekday. I finally got the package because I went to the post office MYSELF on the next Saturday, the only day on which Im able to do that. It took THE SAME FREAKING AMOUNT OF TIME for the package to be delivered to me as it did shipping from Amsterdam to Seattle--also only because I went and got it myself. Somebody should sue this post office for negligence.

Have to agree with the other reviews Ive read here. I dread having to come to this post office. There are a couple of the meanest (and oldest) Korean woman there who are so personally and intentionally miserable to come in contact with they absolutely could not survive out in the private sector. It makes me sick to think I have to pay their salaries and their pensions . I know there are some very good people their who must keep their thoughts to themselves for their own self preservation. And I understand that. But really there should be a prevision in the postal union to oust bad people no matter what. One day these people will have to account for the way they tried to made others lives as miserable as they are. And on the day they will have No accuse !!!

0 stars if it would let me! As stated above, AWFUL!! I dont know how my packages are lost so frequently. On more than one occasion, the tracking info says handed directly to a receptionist or left at front desk. I live in a HOUSE! I do not have a front desk or receptionist. When I go to tell them Its missing, all they do is repeat what I am showing them on my phone that it was delivered. Ya I know. I took a screenshot of the info! Once in awhile, the missing packages guy is quite helpful. I have thankfully always somehow managed to get my packages delivered eventually. But seriously! Once, ok. 4,5+ times?? Something needs to be fixed here!

I have to go here quite a bit and Id like to take the time to say that this building is one of my saddest places. From the time I was informed that there is "no such thing as an inexpensive way to ship locally" to the lunch time usual scene of seemingly a endless line of shuffling customers being "helped" by one to employees while 2-3 more stand around in the back chatting and avoiding eye contact--this place always screams incompetence. To put it in perspective: I honestly look forward to my trip to the dol after visiting this place, as the tellers have a bit more energy and have more of a desire to work through the line.
