I worked with Dawn. Booked hotel, car and a flight on SWA. I insisted on paying them for booking the SWA flight even though she said no charge. I wanted to get off on the right foot for maybe a long term business arrangement. I did not even ask how much it would be. I sent an email with my hotel and rental car member #s, and my preferences. Got an email back with the car and hotel, but information was missing. I called to verify preferences, member #s to ensure I got credits, etc. Dawn assumed it was all on the email she sent. I sent the email back so she could see the information was not on there. Silver Star has been around for years and they dont know what is in the emails they send out? 3 days since booking, never received my airline itinerary. She said she would send again and a couple hours later nothing. So, I called SWA and their computer shows they sent my itinerary by email to Silver Star 3 days ago. I received 2 other emails from her, but no itinerary, so we have the correct email addresses. SWA emailed the itinerary to me while on the phone and I got it within 3 seconds. Does Silver Star really have all these computer problems or is it something else? In a last attempt to try to ensure I would get all the information the next time I used them, I felt Dawn became defensive and the tone in her voice was no longer helpful. She disagreed. So....... it was not a good experience for me ....... so in the future I will book myself or search for another travel agent that does not have all these "computer" problems.

I dont typically write reviews lately because they all seem to be false or written by the "competition ". I was compelled to write this one because of the negative reviews. I have been working with Dawn for many years. She always listens to what I want and works very hard to make sure we get it! I am very picky about flights and sometimes, ok most of the time I end up changing my hotel or resort at the last minute. Dawn never makes me feel like a jerk for wanting to make the changes and is always accommodating. If there is ever a glitch, I guess I travel frequently enough to know that with all of the people and businesses that are involved when booking travel, it can happen and Dawn, even though not at fault goes above and beyond to fix the situation. I can recall clearly receiving a huge amount of help after missing my cruise ship (weather issues) and I had to make alternative flight and hotel arrangements in the middle of the night on a weekend only to find on Monday when I reached my beautiful Caribbean Island that they were not expecting me! I immediately called Silver Star...even though Dawn didnt book this, she somehow fixed it! To sum up this lengthy review, Silver Star has been wonderful to work with for years. Everyone I have referred to Dawn has been completely satisfied and has continued to use her services. I would highly recommend using them for all of your travel needs. Happy travels!

I have used this place for a long time. The manager Ann is always very sweet and the people they used to have were always very accommodating, HOWEVER... the last few times I have used them, there has been a series of mistakes and the last girl Kate that was helping me acted like I was taking up her precious time I finally just told her in a polite way I was done with her.and I felt forced to go else where. What a bummer though they used to be very reliable and polite. PS sorry Ann if you see this cause I know you have a good heart.

Had a pretty good experience booking my trip to Mexico. When it came to solving the problem with the hotel regarding a mis-charge, I was asked multiple times to send over the itinerary. After 2 months of multiple follow-ups I contacted the hotel myself. I guess customer service is only before the trip not after.

Just received my final paper work for my Trip Im so happy I found Pam she has been working with me for a little time now because I couldnt make up my mind ;) she never once let me down. I was working with two other travel agencies when I found Silver Star and they blew the competition out of the water. Their quick responses, accomodating attitude, and helpful demeanor have made them so easy to work with and make us feel like we really have an advocate!
