This place used to be fantastic, I wish I could give zero stars. Upon arrival, the stylist that did my hair today immediately questioned the note in the system stating "Allergic to Fragrance". I informed her that at one visit I had a stylist suddenly and without warning begin applying a scented powder to my neck. My stylist today stated "Were supposed to use the powder without asking every time, but I only use it when Im asked." Unnecessary information, but as long as she didnt use it I was fine. My notes stated I received a 4 plastic on the sides, and two inches left on top. I revised the instructions to 1.5 inches on top. This seemed to flabbergast the stylist. She also immediately admitted that she only had metal shear attachments. I said it was fine. She then asked "So how much do you want taken off?" In all my experience getting my hair cut, men have no idea how much hair is on their head, they only know how much they want left. When a man asks for a buzz cut at 0 or 1, they dont state how much they want taken, just what they want left. I repeated my desired remaining hair length of 1.5 inches, stating I have no idea how much needs to be removed to achieve said length. Then we got into the haircut. My stylist stood so close to the chair that her stomach rested on the armrests, making me exceedingly uncomfortable and leading to me placing my hands in my lap. She spun the chair around with unusual frequency, but that wasnt particularly a problem. The most problematic part was the force she applied to my head to adjust the tilt and angle of my head. She would be gently pulling on my hair and nudging my skull, as is standard during a haircut, then suddenly grip my head and move it a few inches. This repeated for the entire cut. She picked up and set down her shears and scissors repeatedly, constantly attacking some new hair she missed. I assumed this tedious and repetitive method would result in a high quality haircut. Well approach that subject in a moment. After my haircut, I was informed there was a lack of cold beverages. Not the end of the world, but mildly bothersome. She said "Ok!" And removed the cover, indicating I should get up. She suddenly seemed to remember the paper tie around my neck and pulled it off. Then she grabbed the detail shears and cleaned up my neckline again. "OK!" She proclaimed again. I sat awkwardly for a moment before moving to get up when she said "Do you mind the hair sucky thingy?" I replied "Go ahead." She vacuumed my neck, my left ear, and my left shoulder. Completely missed the head of hair she just (mostly) cut. Then she dismissed me with a third "Ok!" I had my wife look at my hair, but she could see no flaws from the back. Lacking my own glasses, I couldnt see, either. So I got up. No neck massage, covered in my own clipped hair, and slightly irritated with the entire event. My wife and I paid, but I declined to tip. The stylist had moved as if to press the "Yes" button to tip, without even asking me. A dissatisfying haircut does not deserve a tip. And Im especially glad I didnt. The stylist gave a pouty look and became immediately silent and very cold to my wife and I. Im glad of this. I am now 9.5 hours into a ten hour shift, and I keep discovering worse and worse things about my hair. The worst is that the left side of my hair, in the front, is an inch longer than the right side, and looks completely goofy. Im sad I paid for this hack job at all, now. This Barber shop was good five years ago, but now I wish Id gone to Great Clips. At least their hack jobs arent $18.95.

I just had my first cut at The Barbers Cascade Park (thank you Diana). I loved it. Typically, I either buzzcut my hair at home myself or go to a Great Clips/Supercuts style chain store. But I recently decided to try wearing my hair a little longer and thought that it was time to find a bonafide barber shop. After a short internet search, I decided to try The Barbers. I went midday/midweek so I was surprised that it was busy. All-in-all, I probably waited 30 minutes from signing in to sitting in the chair. However, once I was in the chair, I quickly realized why it was busy and that it was worth the wait. Tip: theyll let you call ahead up to 30 minutes before you arrive. Ill have to try that next time. I got "The Works" which included a neck shave, shampoo, cut, style and shoulder massage. Im thrilled with the experience. I didnt really know what kind of style I wanted when I went in. Diana took the time to talk with me and learn about my preferences and came up with a very nice style thats attractive, easy to manage and appropriate for my slightly conservative work environment. What surprised me most was that the whole experience made me feel pampered. The neck shave was followed-up by aftershave and a short neck massage. The shampoo included a nice scalp massage. And who doesnt like to end a haircut with a shoulder massage? For me, haircuts have always been quick and assembly line-style. But Im happy to say that todays experience will definitely be my new normal.

Very disappointed with my first and most likely only visit. I asked for what I thought was a simple cut. 3 on the sides and a small trim but still long on top. The girl cutting my hair, cut the left side of my hair all the way up to the top of my head and cut the right side about midway up my head, which is what I wanted both sides to look like. I let her know that I normally dont go up that high on the sides of my head, let alone only one side. She said it would look better when she finished cutting and styling the top a bit, which Ill admit that sitting there looking at my hair styled up it looked ok. After getting home and washing my hair out and taking a closer look I saw how bad it really was. Not only was the hair on one side of my head higher than the other but the hair on top was uneven all over the place, there was a huge chunk of hair missing on the front that makes wearing hear down look really awkward, and also cut way too far up my hairline in an attempt to clean up my hairline. Now Im left having to grow my hair out for at least a month so I can fix my hair. I just wish she would have really listened to what I wanted and didnt try to do more than what I asked.

I like this place and actually all the Barber locations Ive been to! The barbers here are always smiling, very nice, and welcoming with popcorn and a drink. The customer turnover was quick, which was important for me since I usually have a tight schedule after work, but I still walked out with a great haircut. Even though it was quick, I felt like the barber and I had a decent conversation to reduce the wierdness that haircuts cause, since their elbows and arms are all up in your personal face bubble. Anywho, I opted out of the massage at the end though. Theyre called "Barbers" and not "Masseurs" and I find it wierd! (completely personal preference though) One negative... parking! They share with all these other big businesses, so it can be a little tight at times.
