I just had the best hair cut from Gus. My neck is the smoothest its been since I was a lad and frosting on this experience is : Gus is one well read barber! Ill endure the usual drivel -work, dating, and Portland observations - for a good hair cut . BUT ! The conversation with Gus was awesome and Wonderfully illuminating! Thanks Gus for a great do and tickling my brain too.

On a recommendation from friends while passing through to Seattle, I stopped by this place. I got an incredible haircut and a great straight razor shave. Small, clean and well designed, this is a fantastic barbershop. If I am ever in Portland again and in need of a haircut or shave, I will be sure and drop into Oak Barber. Loved the place!

The cut was on point. Very satisfied. But thats not what will be bringing me back. Gus is great to talk to. If you like punk or hardcore you can keep a conversation with Gus well after the trim is done, which we did. Appointment only. One chair. Sweet and simple.

Ive been getting my hair cut by Gus for maybe a year now. Hes professional, does a great job, and is a really nice guy. Love supporting him, but also love getting great haircuts, talking about Lungfish, old Hardcore, and Motorcycles. Always leave looking sharp!

Ive been getting my cut from Gus for over a year and love him and it! Now that Kyle has moved here and started working there I have been getting my cut with Kyle and am equally as stoked about my cut. Two best dudes, great cuts and good times.

Needed a new barber and Gus was recommended from the guys at Spoke coffee, and he does a great job. Makes sure that you get your hair cut the way "you want it." The addition of a razor neck shave is a nice finishing touch.

Kyle has done a fantastic job as my barber for around 6 months now. Yesterday, right after a cut and beard trim, I was in Powells and a woman asked me if I was "in the movies." It has to be the barber that brings that out!

I dont usually post reviews, but I just had my beard trimmed by Kyle and had to express how pleased I am. When he chair spun the chair around and I saw the result, I was honestly shocked at how good it looked.

Best shop Ive been to in Portland. Great cuts. Online booking is a huge plus. Plenty of parking off Division st in addition to some parking in front. Casual atmosphere and better work than anywhere else.
