I am a regular, I live in Hillsboro and make the long trek to come out to this shop, if you like time and care taken into consideration this is the place to be, Hot shaves for the neck or if youre like me for your skin tight fade. I recommend the works, if you really just want to relax and enjoy your trim, Having trouble finding a cut that works for you? Have no fear give your stylist free reign, they will easily cook up a cut that fits your life style, when I get tired of a cut they have no fear in taking the plunge and coming up with something new. The cuts are also cheap, I feel bad so I always leave a 20$ tip well worth it too, they also have extensive knowledge in male hair products Thinning or balding? or is your hair just to darn thick? Cant find that cut thats easy to maintain? have no fear sit back relax enjoy your cut like you should be doing, close your eyes with out worry take a little nap, Try this place I promise you will enjoy your stay, and dont forget to tip your stylist they all deserve it.

Ive been to this location four times, and two times Ive walked out without getting a haircut after waiting for more than 20 minutes. The waiting list system that they use is unclear and confusing, so while you may see a few names above you in the list, youll find that your position in line gets sniped by people that come in after you. Those people are usually folks who have called in ahead of you, or who have some special arrangement with one of the stylists. Unfortunately, because the names on the list are often highlighted in different colors, its impossible to know as an average customer what position you have in line. If youre trying to get a quick hair cut, and you havent called in ahead of time, you should just avoid this place. The cuts are average at best, and the service is mediocre if youre not sitting in a barbers chair.

I had a terrible experience here. The person who cut my hair didnt take the time to ask me what I was looking for in my hair cut or ask me how I style my hair. I asked that the side of my hair be cut using a 2, which she said she did, but now that I am home, I know she didnt. As a result I will need to get a haircut again in about a week as my hair grows fast. She then proceeded to start cutting the top of my hair and when I tried to ask her about the cut all she said was "we will make it look good". There was no concern to what I wanted or interest in how I style my hair. Hopefully if you decide to go here you will have a better experience than I did, but for me, I will not be coming back here and recommend you dont waste your money or your time.

At first glance, the shop feels like it will be very expensive, as there are about 23 seats, all with brand new upholstery and equipment. Flat screen TVs adorn the walls, displaying either ESPN and CNN. There are a ton of haircut books that you can choose your cut with, as well, which makes it easy to know what you want. After a detailed, great-looking trim, customers are treated with a shoulder massage! Straight-razor neck shaves are available as well. Thinking that the cut was going to cost at least $30, I was pleasantly suprised when it rang up as $16!!!!! THAT IS A STEAL! Looks like I found my new favorite barber shop. Definitely give this place a try...

Walked in there today at 7:30pm... Open sign was on, their closing time says 8pm. I walked in signed in and sat down. There where two ladies cutting hair and one of them says "hey you, our list is cut off" What kind of service is that... Hey you??? Super unprofessional... If you are not taking any more people turn the open sign off or have someone at the front telling people politely that you are not taking anymore walk ins! Ive been going there for months .... The day staff Meagan, Britney and Liz are great ... But if I ever need a haircut in the evening from now on Im definitely going back to bishops.

I arrived at the Barbers at 9:45. Two women were working, both were busy, and there was no one else in the shop. I was greeted and signed in for a haircut. I left 40 minutes later, after three customers who arrived after me were invited to sit down. At no time were there more than 3 of us waiting, so it is not as if I was lost in a crowd. After the initial greeting, not a word was spoken to me. If there is some "secret" list that jumps ahead of walk-in clients, it would be nice if the staff mentioned it to those customers who are patiently waiting for service. I wont be back to this location.

Wait! You say sir that you are the owner...I understand...it seems that the only time you responded was when your customer said the women looked like strippers. So what if he commented on their looks. Thsts his opinion and we ALL have opinions. The subject that YOU shd be concerned with as an owner....are your poor reviews. Clearly the customer service at your shop STINKS. Apparently...given the numerous negative reviews....that would NOT be opinion--- but FACT. Shame on you for telling a customer off.

Superior service at an affordable price. I highly recommend the Barbers Sellwood to anyone who has graduated from going to SuperCuts and walking out with a hacked haircut and a balloon. Every experience I have had with The Barbers Sellwood, I have been greeted with superior service and walked away with a great looking haircut. I find the hairdressers to be personable and knowledgeable, making each encounter enjoyable and well worth the cost. I recommend the Barbers Sellwood to all my friends

The two times Ive been here I received the two best haircuts of my life. Im used to going to great clips, and returning the next day to fix what was messed up, just to have a mediocre haircut. The Barbers in Sellwood ask for the same price, but theyre 1000% better. Im sure theyre all terrific, but so far Tee and Julie have cut my hair, and theyre both champs.

Ive had a great experience with Megan during my monthly trips to The Barbers Sellwood. Im also pretty particular about my hair and have never had any mixups. I do try to go at off peak hours so the wait has been totally fine. Candidly, Im a bit surprised to see any negative reviews. I give high praise for the team over there.

I had a terrible experience at this barbershop! Beware! I went in for a head shave paid $20! When I got home my wife had to reshave my head! It was super patchy and the girl seemed like a nervous nelly and tried to sell me product! Hello, I dont want any hair! She constantly babbled and took forever! Never going back!

Ive been coming to this location due to the great cuts and service. Orion has been my go to barber, shes very meticulous and always does a great job and pays a lot of attention to detail. The convenience of location and very reasonable prices are also a great deal.

Great staff and my son got a sharp haircut. I would give five stars, but the barber nicked his ear with the trimmer. They offered a free cut, but I paid anyways because I liked the haircut and it was an accident. Ill return and probably give five stars afterward.
