After checking in with hostess, my elderly mom and I waited, as requested, for a booth to clear in the bar for the happy hour. The patrons left the booth we were waiting for and we checked with the hostess on when the table would be cleared. After some time we checked in again because it was not completely cleared. Then we saw the manager clearing the table only to find out from him that he had committed the booth to other patrons who arrived to the restaurant after us. When I approached him he indicated that he had given the booth to other guests and we would have to wait. I commented to him that he should first apologize and then seat us at a booth in the restaurant where we can order from the happy hour menu since he gave our booth away. I then asked if he would let our wait staff know that we could order from the happy hour menu and he replied "I am a good communicator" and walked away. We had to ask the hostess if we could be seated after he did not return. Once we got to the table, our waitress Jessica was unaware of the happy hour option but graciously accommodated us. Later the manager came and told Jessica about the happy hour option --what a poor excuse for a "communicator". Had it not been for the superb customer service skills of Jessica this would have been a disastrous dining experience. This manager could learn a lot from Jessica. He never offered anything to correct the mistake he clearly made, not even a sincere apology. I felt it was a "Im sorry but too bad--just deal with it." I really suggest that Jessica would make a much better manager. This manager is the absolute worse I have ever experienced at this location. Promote Jessica to manager and get this manager some training on customer service.

I went in to eat at this cheesecake factory, because I happen to generally like the food. Ive been to TCF in Hawaii, California, and Florida (places I have lived) After moving to Milwaukee, I saw this cheesecake factory and went in to eat. I never went back. The servers were filthy, as in they had yellow, not white clothes, their shoes had holes in them and were filthy, and I can only imagine if their servers (what the guests see) are this filthy, how dirty the back-house is. I started eating at Bravo. The wait staff were much more clean, professional, and personable. I got a waiter there that was EXCELLENT, reminding me of fine dining wait staff in other states I have lived. I became a regular and began eating there at least weekly. Unfortunately they closed do to lease issues at the mall, but I had heard Orlando, my waiter was going to TCF. I decided to follow and bring my business knowing this guy knew how I liked my food. The rest is history, he made sure I got food nice and spicy, how I liked and I always left an amazing tip for his superb service. He remained clean and well groomed, and always had a smile. I would go in often, and if he wasnt there, I wouldnt dine there. Now he is no longer working there. Needless to say, I will no longer be eating there.. Now to find a new regular place to eat. They dont make servers like this guy any more. Its too bad too.... Justin

It has been a few years since Ive eaten at any TCF location; The latest being the Mayfair location in Wauwatosa. My food and service were outstanding there. This time around, at the Bayshore location? Mediocre. I cant place my finger on whether it was mostly our service or the food that was the issue? Perhaps a little bit of both. We were a party of 8 people. Granted it was a Saturday night during peak dining hours. Our service was very slow with a number of mistakes. After getting our drink orders and returning with drinks about 10-12 minutes later , we waited, then waited, then waited to place our food order.. it seemed like about 30 minutes. The food arrived about 30 minutes later. The meat patty on one of my daughters sliders fell apart so she ate her fries while they replaced her sliders with a regular cheeseburger. My light enchiladas were okay but not impressive. My enchiladas came on a very large (and extremely hot) plate. Half of the plate was empty as it was missing the side salad. They brought it to me moments later. The drinks were good except for the coffee with desert. The manager stopped by after our meal as we politely explained how things went. He apologized and comped our cheeseburger. All in all, we didnt let this experience ruin our evening as we were celebrating a birthday, but, if I had the choice again, I would consider other options.

About what you would expect from a chain restaurant. We were here on an idle Tuesday afternoon just after the lunch rush (around 2p) and it was completely dead. Service met my expectations but nothing more. She offered complementary bread, and every few minutes she popped over with "bread is just coming out of the oven, should be right out" which made me laugh. I mean, how many times can bread come out of the oven?! We ended up getting the bread pretty much with the food, half of which was stale/hard (the other seemed warm and fresh). The menu is absolutely atrocious - 20+ pages, half of which is advertisements of businesses in other states (which makes me wonder if business is not going well?), and is organized all kinds of backwards. Its not an easy menu to navigate because things are spread out all over the place with full page ads in between. The food itself was good and the Sangria my date had was actually very good. Prices were a little high for what you are getting but I dont think its unreasonable. I think Cheesecake Factory has done a nice job of meeting (not exceeding) expectations as a big box store. I would prefer this to Applebees or similar style, but I do feel there are places higher on my list to repeat.

Lame. So 2 years ago I moves to arkansas. Recently I moved back and figured hey lets go to cheesecake factory because I love 2 things there. 1. Turkey club 2. Original cheesecake. So we sit down and the server was super cool. I went to order my club but no they ran out of turkey....ok so no big deal. Kind of a bummer but Ill survive. I still got the cheese cake to look forward to. So we eat our mean but its getting late and my son is falling asleep. I decide to take him home while the rest of the party fishes their drinks and pay. All I wanted is a original cheesecake. I get home and nooooooooooo cheesecake. I ask what happened? And was told they ran out of cheesecake. WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Its the cheesecake factory how do you run out of cheesecake?!?!?! Absolutely ridiculous. They should change their name to The once in a while cheesecake factory. Stupidity at its finest.

We came in Saturday March 14th around 6pm. My daughter has severe food allergies but was able to have something on the menu if cooked specifically in a certain way. We told our server, who informed the manager, who came over and talked to us about what we needed. The head chef made it himself and it was delivered by the kitchen manager. I cannot say enough how much we appreciated this service! My daughter has been sick and this was a special occasion (headed to Chris Tomlin concert after) and they made the night that much more special. All the other food was fantastic as usual!! Highly recommend and extremely grateful for the help in making the night even more special! Christine Snyder
