Where do I begin?I have been a customer there for 2 years and should have left long ago.The mother and daughter team (Janis and Valentina) are bitchy, condescending, and cant be bothered to remember customers names.The mom and owner, Janis, thinks her ugly paintings are suitable for hanging all over the place, and Janis also apparently does NOT know the difference between a 1/4 inch off and 1 1/2 inches off. And what hair stylist actually goes on and on about how dry someones hair seems to be and gives a lecture about blow-drying? Sorry, but not everyone can go to work looking as scraggly as she does, and need to blow-dry their hair to look suitable. Also, she cut my bangs wet!!?! I am done with these stupid hipster bitches. There have been at least 4 different haircuts that were not done with the care and expertise that they claim to have. I had to get those 4 haircuts fixed by other salons, at my own extra expense. Don’t be fooled by their super cheap prices and claim that they are just working on the cheap, but still providing top notch haircuts. They aren’t, and apparently it’s true that you get what you pay for.

Ive been a customer of Hot Heads since it opened, and have known Janis Casey personally since she worked at Cloud Nine. I have also driven back to Milwaukee, from Springfield, IL, just to get my hair cut by Janis over the last 8+ years. Heres my bottom line. Everyone is entitled to their opinion about the style, care and job someone who cuts their hair uses, thats fine. But the abrasive and verbally abusive comments by the previous reviewer are completely uncalled for. In my 20+ years of having Janis style my hair, I have only ever received 1 haircut I wasnt truly happy with. That in and of itself should tell you all you need to know. The prices, attention to detail and professionalism far outweigh the cost. Go, have your hair styled and decide for yourself!!!

When my stylist came to get me for my appt (15 minutes late) she did not introduce herself. She seemed barely interested in the fact that I was there...Maybe becasue I had a groupon, I dont know. Anyways, after it all ( probably a good 2.5 hrs..) My hair was blonde and PURPLE! Thats right! And the lights in the salon are so dim, that I could not tell till I went outside. I have had multiple comments about the purple in my hair, as if it were on purpose. I hesitate to call them tio fix it, as they seemed bothered by me beoing there in the first place.

Ive been going to Hot Heads longer than I can remember. Ive had cuts and colors, updos and highlights, you name it, with every stylist there. They keep my red tresses gorgeous and at a reasonable price. I really cant understand these other nasty reviewers, however, I do know that unhappy people are WAY more likely to complain publicly than happy people are to praise. Id bet that for every name-caller writing negatively there are TEN of us super-satisfied Hot Heads evangelists out there being quiet.

I love this place, and recommend it all the time. If you are looking for color, especially a color splash with a fun accent color, I recommend Amy - I get compliments on my hair almost every day. And I get the cut I ask for, with suggestions on how to make it work better for me, instead of the cut that the stylist is used to doing (that always looks the same). The prices are better than the mall salons, and the quality is much better.

Did not have the "PLEASURE" of going here. I have never ever been treated like crap on the phone like Sara did to me today. I told her I had a coupon and wanted a real change but was nervous. I asked about attention to detail because their FB certainly doesnt have attention. Please find another salon

I always get a great cut when I go to hot heads, and superb service. The interior of the salon is charming and chic. It is apparent that everyone who works there puts a lot of effort into keeping it a friendly, top notch environment while maintaining an on-point aesthetic.

The atmosphere is good, the staff are friendly. My haircuts turn out good, nothing special, but good. The pricing is also very reasonable. I recommend it over a place like great clips.
