I was looking for a place to call my haircut ‘home’ and I found a gem. This place is clean, organized, is close to me, has a cozy waiting area with cable TV, is stocked with good magazines and is customer friendly. The pricing is actually lower than I expected and in my experience the cuts and services are better too. Walk-ins are welcome, but I have a preferred provider in Alicia. She does a great job…I’ve never gotten a bad cut from her. She offers a personal touch, and is in tune with styles that fit me. I just give her general ideas and let her do her thing. If I suggest a style that wouldn’t fit ‘me’ she’ll tactfully redirect my intentions and get me looking good in no time. Now both of my son and daughter go there and she does an outstanding job on female styles too! There’s simply no comparison to competitors and I’ve tried them all. She’s been doing my hair for about two years now and in that time I’ve garnered a true stylist and friend. A+++

I have been getting my hair cut here for the last two years. Although, I have been seeing Alicia for about the last year or so. I discovered that there are some people that do take their jobs serious and are willing to do what it takes to ensure customer satisfaction. Alicia knows me by face, my name, and how I like my hair; I dont feel like I am just some number with a dollar amount attached. She doesnt look at a computer to determine how my hair needs to be cut from the last stylists notes. She had always respected my time, as I typically have my hair cut during lunch break. She is always kind and full of conversation, which makes my appointment delightful every time I visit. I would definitely recommend her to anyone, especially my friends and family.

I have been going to the Barbershop since it opened and I have to say they are the best. I use to dread going to any barber shop but now I look forward to going ever time. You feel like you are being treated like a king with all that they do for you there. Not only is the staff great there, but the price is right as well. I always make an appointment with Alicia every time I go. She has always done a terrific job and is very personable. She makes you feel very comfortable like if you were at your own home. I would suggest to anyone to give this place a try, and I bet you will agree, that there is no where else to go for a haircut other than here.

For the money, you cannot beat The Barbershop. The quality of service you receive is top notch, and since Ive moved to Chicago, I realize how much Ive left behind. The same service level here goes for $36-42 (Floyds), nearly 4 times the cost back at The Barbershop. If I had the time to drive back to Racine every two weeks, Id still be going there. Ask for Jake, hes consistent, professional and the only person I trusted enough to cut my hair. Give The Barbershop a try, you wont regret it.

I love getting my haircut here, ever since I got my first haircut here Ive been going every time it needs to be done. I travel to the Racine, Wi location because my friend Alicia does such a fantastic job on my hair!! The barbershop is such a serene, relaxed and fun environment that I doubt Ill be going anywhere else. I am quite sure nobody can beat the price either as far as services offered!! I am very picky about where and who I go to for hair cuts. I discovered this place a couple years ago and the amazing Alicia! She is fabulous I just sit down and she knows just what will look great. I leave with a great hair cut and beard trim. I have even been taking my 3 boys to her and she is fantastic with them. She even handled my little guy with the frustrating double cowlick. I Highly recommend Alicia just make sure to schedule an appointment ahead of time too.

Wow it was magical. Alicia Nelson cut my hair and it was like she was the only one who ever cut my hair in my entire life. She knew exactly the kind of swoop I wanted in my bangs. She knew exactly how to hide those stray baby hairs. She knew where I needed volume and she put it all up in there. Im never wasting money and letting anyone cut my hair again. She also had the softest hands ever so every time she rubbed my scalp or touched my neck it was like ooo la la.

So my girl thought it would be cool to give me a haircut before i started my new job only to find out I looked like a 13 year old kid with a helmet on my head. I dont usually do shops or salons but I thought Id stop in to fix my little problem with my spare time. I spoke with a girl named Danielle & instantly I knew she wouldnt let me down or have me looking even worse. She did a great job & I must say this is not the last time Ill visit her there ! Even though this place is a bit of a drive from home its a great place to get a cut. The staff is very professional and welcoming. The waiting area is clean and comfy. I get my hair cut by Alicia, she is very talented and have new ideas on what she thinks you might like, especially if you are not sure of how youd like it cut. She does an amazing job and is always willing to go the extra bit to make sure you look good when you walk out the door.

Alicia has been wonderful. Not only do I get a professional, detailed, and stylish cut but I also get a great conversation and someone who always has that upbeat tempo. I have tried a few new styles over the past few months and every time she has given me great feedback on my thoughts as well as phenomenal cut. There are many barbers, salons and stylists close to me but Ill make the 25 minute drive every time when Alicia is in.

After waiting for 45 minutes for an appointment the stylist started taking appointments that were after mine. When I asked why her response was that someone quit so she didnt have time for me and that I should comeback a different day. When I pointed out I had an appointment and have been waiting patiently I was flat out told that she didnt want to cut my hair. I guess they dont want any repeat business either.

Nice people, but unfortunately the stylist was not listening to what I wanted. I am a 53 year old man did not want a hipster haircut. The manager came over and offered suggestions, but even with the corrections it will be a couple of months before it has grown out. Word to the wise, show them a picture if you want them to get it right. PS haircut was free as well as the follow up, but I doubt I will go back.

Whether your thinking of finding a new barber, or currently dont have one, i would strongly recommend The Barbershop...a few of my guy friends recommended i go there because not only is it a very relaxed, comfortable environment...but the women that work there are not only beautiful but very talented at what they do...Alicia is highly recommended because to be honest, the girl knows her stuff!!
