I recently moved to Montgomery and was looking for a great salon. I prefer Aveda products so chose Amplify. I initially went for a bang trim and a make-up consultation. The bang trim was fine (how do you mess that up!), and the make-up consultation was acceptable. I prefer not to look like a doll after putting on make-up but have fixed that by using my own techniques. My first major haircut was a bust. Away went my a-line haircut (which we agreed we would keep), and I was left looking like a newscaster. Maybe its the accepted style here in AL, but it was not the haircut for me, and nowhere near what was discussed. I went back and the haircut was fixed; I do like my haircut now. Today, my husband went in for his second haircut (hes growing his hair out) to clean up the back of his neckline. He left with a childs bowl cut! I can forgive and get over one poor haircut (everyone has their days), but I cannot accept more than that. Haircuts are too expensive and living with a bad haircut is too stressful to pay good money for someone that doesnt listen (or does listen but cant deliver). I will no longer be getting my haircut (or recommending for someone else to) at Amplify Salon.

My wife and I are from South Carolina, and we were coming through Montgomery on our way to Florida for a military ball. My wife decided to color her hair the night before we left and bless her heart, she completely messed it up. Somehow, it turned peach!!! Well I googled Salons in the Montgomery area and Amplify Salon came back as a 5 star salon. We decided to give it a try. I was very impressed!! The staff was so helpful and they treated us like they had known us forever. While I was waiting on my wife I had a stress relieving treatment, and YES it did relieve STRESS!! My wife was the most beautiful one at the ball! I would recommend this salon to EVERYONE and my wife says she will be making trips from South Carolina to Montgomery from now on to get her hair done! LOL..

I am not a frou-frou kind of person, and anything with "spa" in the title has always intimidated me a little. Other "salon/spa" places have made me feel like I didnt really belong there, and I always felt out of place. I only went to Amplify because it is very convenient to me and I want to support places of business on MY side of town -- but WOW -- you get everything you could want in a spa without all the hoity-toity attitude. I have recently switched to Ashleigh after my original stylist had to leave to work closer to home, and I couldnt be more pleased.

I called to schedule an appointment with Master stylist Brooke Carr on Tuesday, June 6th. Josh, who picked up phone and scheduled appointment and discussed in detail that I wanted to get highlights and haircut, scheduled my appointment for Thursday, June 8th at 11:45am. I called Thursday morning just to confirm appointment, and Josh and another staff member didnt have my name or phone number in their system. So no hair appt for me. Complete disappointment with their customer service and lack of organization. Wouldnt recommend salón to anyone.

I made my first visit to Amplify last week to enjoy hand/foot reflexology. Packing and moving cross country left my hands and feet very sore. My appointment time was set quickly by very friendly staff who also warmly welcomed me. The spa is clean, comfortable and relaxing. The service offering is very good, very reasonably priced, and my massage by Jonathan just what I needed. He made sure he fully understood my needs before beginning the treatment. I will be returning soon to try other services, and highly recommend the spa to all.

I absolutely LOVE Amplify! I have been with Jodi for about 5 years and my family members even drive from out of town to have Jodi color and cut their hair! I get compliments on my hair from other stylists around town and even at grocery stores. The atmosphere is wonderful and everyone knows you by name and makes you feel very comfortable. ALL of the staff are EXPERTS at what they are doing, prices are excellent and I have never seen anyone walk out of there with a bad hair cut :)

Love this place!!! Called to find someone who knew how to cut curly hair. ( I have had long curly hair all my life and wanted a change) she set me up with Sarrita. She was great, I told her kind of what I was looking for and asked if going short hair would look good on me, she gave me ideas and got started. I left the salon happy and feeling a little sassy. Next im going to try my first facial. Oh and the prices are great for what you get.

The salon is decked out beautifully and the hair washing room is incredibly relaxing - feels like youre in a spa rather than a hair salon. Very well trained staff they are obviously in the know! Cool place, friendly staff! I will definitely go back! Prices are uniform - all stylists have the same rate. The atmosphere is great. Have continued to return even after my favorite stylist.

My appointment today at Amplify Salon met and exceeded my expectations. My appointment was with Sarrita, and she was absolutely amazing. I explained what I was looking for, and she knew exactly what I wanted. When she was finished with my full highlight and haircut, my hair was way beyond what I expected. I will be returning to Amplify to see Sarrita!

Best salon EVER!!!! I have been going to Jami for almost 10 years now. I get compliments everywhere I go (love that!) The atmosphere is very professional while still remaining relaxing and welcoming. The staff are always up to date on the latest trends and are all very knowledgeable about the products. I would HIGHLY recommend Amplify to anyone!

My visits to Amplify have always been very relaxing, very enjoyable and I ALWAYS leave looking great! Ashleigh is spectacular with color, and I have never felt like anyone was in a hurry to get me out so they could get another customer in. They always take time and make sure that you are absolutely happy. I would recommend Amplify Salon to everyone.

Nice looking place, good customer service, but skillset is average. If youre looking for something short, funky, fresh, and modern its a stretch here. $50 for 45 minutes wasnt the best bargain either. I get a substantially more detailed, refined, feminine cut that takes usually just over an hour for the same price in San Antonio.

I love Amplify. Jami has never steered me wrong either with my cut or color. Its always fun & relzxing in the salon. Everyone is always polite & helpful. Wait times are minimal. Jami never seems to mind when I sit in her chair & tell her I dont know what I want. She gives great suggestions & the end reslut is always good.

I just left the spa today to purchase a hair product and book an appointment. The heavy set receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. I am so happy I did not book the appointment... I travel a lot due to work and need a break from time to time and will no longer consider this particular spa as a contender!
