Heres the thing, when you are spending thousands of dollars on your new landscape you expect things to go smoothly and the staff to be courteous and all that. But what I think really defines a company is how they handle it when things dont exactly go according to the plan. Moon Valley Nurseries has the most outstanding customer service I have ever seen, period. Bottom line up front - you should definitely purchase your trees, shrubs, plants, and fertilizer from Moon Valley Nurseries. Heres the full story: I went in to Moon Valley Nurseries in Avondale to buy a couple trees for an unfinished backyard. I brought my wife and 1.5 year old twins along. We were immediately greeted by Troy who, by the way, is awesome with kids. The nursery happened to be trying to clear out Palo Verdes in order to expand their pond so Troy gave me an amazing deal on some 36in box trees... However, as my wife and I were trying to decide which trees to take home (the selection is huge) our kids went into full meltdown mode. As she took the kids out to the car to take a drive I tagged a couple trees we had been looking at as candidates and then I went to work on the paperwork with Troy. The idea was my wife and I could return later and swap the tags to different trees when the kids werent screaming banshees. When my wife and I returned a few days later it happened to be when Troy was on vacation. No problem, Barry, Dutch, and Eric (the manager) were there to help us out. We swapped the tags and got a new invoice for the two new trees we picked out. We also got the extended warranty this time around *you should definitely get the extended warranty.* Heres where events turned - instead of the new trees showing up on our delivery date, the original trees we had picked out showed up! I had to hire a crane and everything for my property. I got Eric on the phone right away and the first and last thing he said to me was that he wanted me to be 100% happy with my trees. He didnt argue, he didnt try to blame me, he just took care of it - including the cost of the crane. It was truly an amazing experience and the reason I gave Moon Valley Nurseries 5-stars. They are a customer-oriented company that is obviously going to be around for a long time. Thank you to the entire Moon Valley team. For those of you reading this post to the end - you absolutely will not regret purchasing your trees from this outstanding company.

I was at the location on 111th ave and indian school, and dealt with the manager there. He was very smart and super nice, I would say overall this is the best nursery in the valley no place else has a better selection better service or better people, they all just seem happy to be there. I went back to moon valley nursery again this week needing some help with plants that got killed (stupid renters) and was soooo pleased to see that there were so many familiar faces still there! In todays industry to often you go some place and never can get helped by the same person that served you before; not here. The manager Paul was still in charge and they still had the best products and service ever!! Thanks again Moon valley for helping get things right (again, stupid renters!)

We are new to the area, but have been very pleased with the work done by the Moon Valley Nursery people on Indian School Road. We worked with Debbie , a very experienced and knowledgeable design and plant/ tree specialist there. She came on her own time to review our project and help us plan what was needed, and then followed through on the installation. She was excellent to work with! On the day the many trees and plants were delivered, the installation team leader, Ben, was here right on time and brought with him an extremely hardworking crew. They were courteous, did exactly what we wanted; they were on time and cleaned up after completing all planting. I highly recommend these folks and their products! J. Cook, Verrrado

Worked with David Lloyd at the Avondale location on Indian School. He was awesome! He knew his trees and plants very well and helped us until we found the perfect trees. David made suggestions and was very respectful and understanding when we were picky and changed our minds several times. Great customer service from a great guy. We got exactly what we were looking for. Thanks David. PS. There was some mud in places, however, mud is par for the course if you want quality healthy watered trees and plants. We searched around and ended up buying our plants from Moon Valley Nurseries on Indian School Rd. The staff over there are great. One of the Nursery Pros, Eric Dutcher, greeted us promptly, listened to us as we told him what we were looking for, gave us great recommendations on the various plants to consider, (hes really knows his stuff), patiently showed us around the nursery, and gave us a very fair price once we made our selections. We could not have had a better experience and the plants look great! Id recommend Eric Dutcher at Moon Valley to anyone.

I purchased 8 trees abd shrubs. It was like a month after planting and I decided to go to the nursery to show ouctures if my bushes that were browning. I arrived and was greeted by Wesley Erwin. He looked at my pictures, he advised me and explained why it could be happening. He asked that i give it one summer and gave me care instructions. He extended my warranty and told me if by October they are not better he will replace them. He set ny mind at ease! Thank you Wesley for the outstanding customer experience!!!

I love Moon Valley Nurseries! Not only is the selection wide, but each item has a description of what it is, how to care for it and the price conveniently located right in the front of it. Not that you couldnt find help if this wasnt available. Their staff is very knowledgeable, and friendly! They also exchanged a plant that didnt do well in my yard and helped me buy plants that would thrive under my tree. Now my yard is beautiful, and Im always looking forward to going back to Moon Valley to add to it.

The staff is nice and helpful (thats why I gave it two stars), but the facility is a mess. The aisles between the rows of plants is muddy and at times, impassable. Due to the constant moisture and mud, the facility has a musty, unpleasant smell. I thought this could not be helped until I was at the Moon Valley on Grand Avenue and saw how clean their nursery was. Then I realized Avondale should do better at keeping their business to where people can walk among the plants without ruining their shoes.

We purchased 6 trees & to Octillos from Moon Valley on Indian School April 2015. They have done very well with no transplant shock They are growing profusely Just took delivery of 2 Giant evergreen ash trees (July 2016) Salesman was very helpful with each purchase Trees look great Planting crew run by Ben is very professional They are very productive workers Very happy with our experience with Moon Valley & their plants/trees Would recommend them to anyone
