Let me start by saying Elaine is a wonderful waxer. Shes very sweet and always remembers her customers and is very good at her job. The customer service at the front though isnt great. Last weekend I had an appointment. As I was driving to it, I hit some unexpected construction on the road that slowed me down. When I realized I was going to be late I called to let them know that I was still coming. The receptionists response was "You have 7 mins or well have to cancel your appt." I told her I didnt know if I could make it in 7 mins but I was driving already. She just kept saying I have 7 mins. So we hung up. In exactly 7 mins she calls me to tell me my appt is canceled. By this point I was on Gilbert and Guadalupe but that didnt matter. She asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no, its very hard for me to find time to do this. Then I received a text that my appt was canceled. Im a mom and a teacher. Its back to school time. Im very busy and its hard for me to find free time for myself. This is the one thing I do consistently every month for myself. The previous month when I was there, their computer system was down and I didnt have any cash on me. They asked if it would be ok to call me later and get my credit card over the phone. I said yes because Im flexible and I understand these things happen. Unfortunately the favor wasnt returned when I was running late. If Elaine ever went to a different spa, I would gladly follow her. If you choose to get waxed here I would definitely recommend her. Just dont expect much customer service from the receptionist.

I have had two 1hr custom facials and just had the O2 facial, which were all amazing! When trying out a new place, I like to try out different estheticians as Ive found each one has varying techniques in how they apply, massage, and execute the facial so each time I tried to book with a different one. Aubrey, Jenna & Elaine were all wonderful. The staff is polite, respectful and extremely welcoming. Their website and online booking, confirming of your appt., etc. is all run very smoothly and effectively. The facility is clean, inviting, and decorated so cute! They also run really great monthly specials, so if you go, make sure youre included in their monthly newsletter. Im also a big fan of the product line that they use, Image Skincare - the Vital C serum is the best! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I had never waxed before until coming to Amy, but as a stage performer it has become a requirement to look as perfect as possible under the stage lights. After my second visit, we discovered that I have a mild allergy to normal wax and since then Amy has used a special hypo-allergenic wax that my sensitive skin appreciates. Not only does she remember, but she asks every time: did you take your allergy meds? Amy is always professional and has an excellent eye for detail. The environment of her new spa is peaceful and soothing and I always feel happy and relaxed after a visit. Her staff and her partner Jason always appreciate my busy schedule and bend over backwards to make things as quick and efficient as possible for me. I would highly recommend her and her staff to anyone.

I love Bare Necessity Wax and Spa. Amy has a great little boutique business right in the heart of Gilbert. Ive been going to Bare Necessity for over a year now and I love the fact I can book appointments on line, not to mention you can usually find an appointment thats convenient and not 6 weeks out. Im one of those clients that just cant commit to the follow up appointment while Im standing at the reception desk. Ive also had several wax treatments, and Amy makes you feel comfortable even while exposing your naughty bits and regretting why you didnt make your appointment sooner rather than later. Over all I give Bare Necessity Wax & Spa 5 out of 5 stars, convenience, location, comfort, and atmosphere.

Im not one to ever write reviews but this place is so good it deserves it. I have eyebrows that are close to impossible to work with. They are sparse and grow in a downward direction instead of upward and to the side. I never get them done because usually people dont know what to do with them and leave them far too thin. My eyebrows have always been a huge insecurity of mine until now. I have gotten my eyebrows waxed twice and tinted once here and I was so satisfied with both visits. These ladies know exactly what they are doing and are so friendly!! My eyebrows have never looked so good. If I could give them more than five stars I would! From now on this is the only place I will be getting my eyebrows done.

I think its been over a year now that I nervously searched for a new "eyebrow lady"! Any women can relate that nervous feeling when you call to make an appt and you dont know what to expect. We all have that terrifying thought that youll go in with a canvas and come out with a disaster. Well well well I am so glad I found Amy! I found her just by what your doing now, reading google reviews! I can honestly say I would drive across town to keep Amy in my pocket of special people! Amy has always taken great care of me! I LOVE Bare Necessity Wax and Spa! They are honestly amazing. Ive tried many different places for wax/facials and they are the BEST! I typically work with Elaine, but honestly the whole staff is great. All very knowledgable, professional, and kind! They will customize your facials to meet your needs. They have a clean and well kept spa, that always feels warm and "homey". They use the best products too. Honestly, try them out. They will always do their best to meet your needs and make sure you are satisfied with their services. Ive been going to this spa for about year and half, at one point going once a month. Again they are amazing!!!

I was new to Bare Necessity, which adds even more discomfort to a bikini was. I was warmly greeted and asked to fill out the usual forms. The place is sweet, very pretty Victorian. The room is filled with peace. You feel at home. The aroma therapy is soft, spa-like, relaxing. I had 2 wax procedures done plus a back facial which was a relaxing treat. The 2 young women who performed the treatments were very good at what they did! They were kind and comforting and thorough. I really cant say enough of the whole experience. Truly a find. A treasure!

Bare Necessity Wax and Spa is the most professional spa Ive ever been to and Im going on my fourth year as a regular. Always on time, waxing done promptly, which is important to me, and my facial series with Amy did wonders. Other perks - email and text appointment reminders, email receipts. So, ultimately professional, but more importantly, the staff is always friendly, work performed with care and expertise. What more can you ask for? Oh I know, my husband buys me their gift certificates when they have a sale!
