went in yesterday to purchase some lip products from the ulta on northern but when i got home noticed i purchased 2 of the same products and another product the seal was broken before I opened it so I just wanted to trade it in. I went to the Goodyear location since I was on that side of town and went to the front and was called on quickly. I was greeted and went to explain my predicament and explained I wanted to return and suddenly the cashier Joanna seemed to have a whole different demeanour like she was mad. She took my receipt didnt say a word looked at the products n tossed them in a bin still not saying anything but moving in more of an angry way. She let the cash drawer slam open and the cashier next to even noticed the hostility she dated woah and tried smiling at me I guess to try and calm the situation down. Joanna then proceeded to toss my money on the counter as she was counting it didnt look me in the face just told me the change and turned her body . No have a great day, did you need anything else, thabk you for coming nothing just a turn of the body wishing me away. Ive never felt so DISRESPECTED for no reason in my life. Ive never complained before but I was so offended by the services I was given, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and just hope tgat was just her nasty personality so I waited went to get the lip product I wanted but to my surprise she was so delightful to the next guest it just offended me and pist me off more i just left. Ive never made a complaint before and I have worked in customer service all my life, ive even worked for your company but I have never been treated like that or seen anyone treated like that for a return. Ive never been so offended to a point of not being able to just brush it off instead I just leave without even purchasing what I originally went for. No one should be made to feel like that especially in an establishment made to lift spirits and confidence!

I went to an ulta on Litchfield and McDowell in Arizona. I took my two teenage nieces for some products. We were approached about 3 times by a young girl who asked if we needed help. The rest of the time, some older worker (Lori) followed us around the store watching. She never offered to be helpful. She just followed us. She even was rude and snotty when i was speaking to my niece about rubbing alcohol. She corrected me twice and sort of snapped when I wasnt even speaking to her. Her behavior was very rude. Then as we were still shopping the associate decided to take our bag that was not nearly full to the front as if they didnt want us walking around with products. Then when an associate brought me another empty bag and asked if we were ready to check out, I told her no thank you, we are leaving. It was as if they couldnt wait to get us out of there. Ive never felt so singled out or micromanaged in my life. I dont know what they thought in that store but they were so rude. I have not ever stolen in my life and would never do so. Im a nurse and a veteran who took my girls shopping. The fact that we felt them trying to watch and manage us the whole time was horrible. It was not a show of good customer service or helpfulness. When we left the store to leave to another ulta, the older snotty woman (Lori) followed us outside writing down my license plate. I got out of my car and she followed me back into the store where I asked what the situation was and then I explained to some young girl manager what happened. I got a terrible insincere apology and asked if I wanted to check out. Absolutely not! I went to a different ulta where the customer service was amazing. Ive never had such an awful experience anywhere. It was like being a criminal under suspicion. Awful!

WORST possible experiences at this store. Every time that Ive been to this location I end up so upset and irritated that I have vowed to stick with other retailers and never spend another dollar in Ulta. My husband hates coming in this store because the staff at Ulta are literally trained to "watch every customer that seems suspicious" aka people of color and who arent dressed well enough to looked like they can afford to shop there. On top of the constant stare downs, they are also trained to approach customers to "make them aware of your presence" aka let them know youre watching them! (I know these things because I was a seasonal worker for Ulta years ago) my final straw with this particular location was the 3rd incident where I received a coupon for deluxe samples that were sent to certain shoppers only & when I would go to the store I was either too early/they didnt have it yet, or too late/they were out! Even when I went in reasonable time AFTER I got these in my email. I would have been satisfied if they would have offered any other sample in exchange but 3 times this happened to me and it was all with the store manager or assistant, fat older guy. Very rude, not apologetic at all and made me feel like it was my fault, my bad timing to blame for not getting my samples. I filed a complaint with Ulta, received an email stating they would look into things and that someone would be reaching out to me from their customer service team. That was 4 months ago and to this day I have not had one more email and still no call!

I would typically give them 5 stars but after todays experience, they are lucky to get 2! I spent $72.00 on makeup, and that was only TWO items. I had my $3.50 off coupon where they said I could not use it, little did I know, I had NO points to use which is odd since I shop here 2-3 times a month. Then I asked if I was supposed to get something for my birthday month and she says, you will get an email. Mmmkay, my bday is in 2 weeks and Ive gotten nothing. Platinum status sucks at this point. Well after I get home I look at my receipt and there were ZERO savings so I was even more confused as to why they didnt use my coupon that states NOTHING about Naked and OR Urban Decay products which is all I ever buy and they always use my coupons and points combined. So I drive all the way back to walk into this "Im only here for the money" employee and explain my concerns to her where she just tells me, "Its because you bought Prestige" Wth are you talking about, where she says its UD products." I said well your ad should say that, she said it says "Prestige" wtf does that even mean, I told her Im still confused and she looked at me dead in the eye and says "Have a good night" REALLY?! I think some of these employees should work on their customer service skills rather than their makeup skills and trying to look pretty and fake! NOT IMPRESSED!

Im done with Ulta - with this store and their online store. I placed an order on their online store. A week later I was told that the order still hadnt shipped and it would be another week before it did. I was out of makeup, so I decided to cancel the order and just swing by the store to grab it. I called and waited on hold for 45 minutes. The automated message said that I could contact them via email instead of waiting for a customer service agent. I finally gave up and sent an email. A week later, I received the package. I took the unopened package to the store, explained what happened and asked for a refund. The snotty cashier told me she couldnt accept the return because I didnt have a specific code. I told her the box was unopened - everything needed for a refund should be there. We opened the box, and she still needed a specific code. I walked out with the opened box, the product, and no refund. FAIL, Ulta. After I specifically asked you to CANCEL MY ORDER, you sent it anyway, and then you package the order without the proper paperwork for a refund? I promise you, I will not step foot in your stores except to get my full refund. Nor, will I ever order from you again. Well, hello, Sephora. Its nice to meet you.
