I visited the David Gerard Salon for the first time yesterday. I have lived in Arizona for 11 years and have never found anyone that could cut my hair correctly. I used to have very straight hair that wouldnt hold a curl then got very sick and after my hair fell out it came back very curly. It looks as if I have a perm. Its beautiful but everyone cut it wrong and it just wouldnt come out right when I tried to style it. Yesterday I searched the internet for the top salons in Phoenix and found David Gerard. I noticed they had 28 five star ratings and were near my home. I called and David answered the phone. I told him I was looking for a salon and about my past experiences. I told him I was going to California every few months to get my hair done because I couldnt find a decent stylist here. I was so surprised when he started asking me questions about my hair. What color was it, how long was it, was it curly or straight. He was very thorough with his questions. We talked about 10 minutes. It was 10:30 and he looked at his appt book and told me he could get me in at 11:30. I arrived at the salon and David introduced himself and we chatted for a few moments, (he is a very nice man who you can tell cares a lot about his clients) and then he introduced me to Alison. She was so sweet and looked at the photos I brought with me of how my hair used to look and how I wanted it again. We talked about color and style for about 10 minutes and then she got busy mixing color. When she was finished she showed me my hair and explained how it was cut incorrectly before and that is why the it wasnt working for me. The color is absolutely beautiful and I love the cut. I was so happy I hugged her. She was so sweet and everyone in the salon is very nice. It is a clean, pleasant salon with a very casual but professional atmosphere. I have already scheduled my next appointment and will definitely be returning to this salon. AFTER 11 YEARS I HAVE FOUND MY SALON! I no longer have to drive 350 miles to get my hair styled. Thank you David Gerard and Alison! Oh an added bonus; if you pay with cash you get a 5% discount and if you refer 3 friends you get a free haircut. I would recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a first class experience and the hair you have always wanted!

I received an awful ombre from a previous place and called Davids salon in Goodyear, the lady on the phone sent me right over to David himself and he was so pleasant and helpful and he set me up for an appointment first thing in the morning the next day! Wow! I was a little concerned because he put me in his Avondale salon with Brittany who is new, but as soon as I met Brittany she was sweet and so concerned about my hair and just wanted to help. She sat me down and discussed what she should be with the other people working which was pleasant that they work as a team to make my hair look its absolute best. My hair was so awful that Brittany died it once, blow dried it and then realized there was still a harsh ombre line and before me saying anything she decided she was going to do it again, and asked for my permission, I loved loved loved how involved every one working at the Avondale location was with my hair because they wanted me to have the look I was going for. They even let me leave to get food before they died it again. Then during the second die they talked about the condition of my hair and decided to give it a treatment (for free) and my hair left their salon looking healthier and more beautiful than I could ever imagine. They really turned a disaster into a beautiful piece of work. My favorite thing was that David and his employees were all there for me and wanted what was best for me, they didnt care about their time or how Long it would take or anything just that I was happy with my hair like they would want. Not too mention David came in to check on me and my hair, and even sat down to have a conversation with me which I have never experienced before and I loved it. Great customer service, great experience, great employees, GREAT AVEDA products (all I use now and you could never tell my hair has been died 3 times in 2 days). If you need a salon look no further, Davids Gerards salon is amazing, and Brittany is so sweet and pleasant and so experienced even though she is new to Davids salon!

I was looking for great hair salon for a very long time.. I tried several of them in Goodyear and area, but every time I was disappointed. I saw one day David Gerrard salon and I decided to check their webpage. I saw that he moved to Goodyear from NY, I checked his website and reviews. Everything looked good and I decided to make an appointment . David made my appointment with ASHLEY. I told her my horror stories and about bad experiences I had, she was listening very carefully, I explained what I want to be done and she verified with me everything. During the process she made sure to check with me if I am happy with her work. I left salon that day VERY happy and relaxed. My hair looked great, I had VERY natural looking highlights and perfect layers. Before I left salon I made my next appointment with her. This was over 2 years ago and I am still client of David Gerrard salon and Ashley. We built strong rapport and when I go there I feel like I am visiting friends. Ashley make sure EVERY time that I leave salon satisfied and happy. David is very understanding if I need to reschedule, he is SUPER nice and make sure to greet me every time he see me in the salon. David and his staff strives to make every guest feel awesome and good about themselves. In this salon also works NINA, I was fortunate to get my nails done with her. She made my fingernails so beautiful that I was getting complements from people almost daily. The quality of the nails is great, they look super natural and I never had any problems with them. Thank you Nina and Ashley for your dedication and work. This is very beautiful hair salon, it has wonderful industrial look, high ceiling’s with huge ceiling fans, it is very clean and has plenty of day light. If you need hair or nails done THIS IS A PLACE TO GO. Thank you David for leaving NY and coming to Goodyear!!!

To sum it up in one sentence, Filiberto at David Gerard Salon is the best! After 20 years of long, straight hair down to my waist, I decided it was time for a change. Naturally, I was nervous about trusting someone with such a radical haircut. David Gerard Salon had great reviews on Yelp, so I took a chance and called. I spoke to David, who put me at ease and was able to get me an appointment within 45 minutes. I worked with Filiberto Torres Jr., whos got a host of qualifications, including 20+ years in the business and Paul Mitchell certification as a trainer. Through everything, he discussed what he was going to do and made sure I was okay with it, starting with confirming that I wanted such a radical change - and then donating the long ponytail he cut off to Locks of Love. He wasnt just technically skilled - he was patient, funny, engaging, and relaxing to work with. David also stopped by to check up on things and make sure I was happy with how things were going. In the end, I went from waist-long straight hair with no real style and lots of grey to a pixie-cut with deep brown color and red highlights. Filiberto is a genius with hair! I cant recommend this salon highly enough, and I cant wait to go back in a couple of months.
