I want to say that I am not a fan of USPS in Goodyear, AZ. First off, my mother (and her cat) just moved to Arizona from Vermont to live with me (and my husband) - and that was stressful in and of itself. Top it off with the post office in Goodyear, AZ attempting to deliver my mothers four (4) priority mail packages to a vacant home (wrong address!) on a Sunday morning (estimated delivery was supposed to be on Monday 8/14/2017) - then posting on the USPS website attached to the tracking numbers that the packages were delivered, then not delivered, and declared undeliverable due to an unserviceable address (hmmmm....wonder why!). Grrrrr......!!!!!! (My mother at this point was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.) Long story short - LORENZO (the hero manager!!!) was able to look up the tracking numbers we provided on the receipt (when we drove down to the post office as soon as they opened up at 8:30am on Monday morning!) and determined that the packages had been brought BACK to the post office and were in fact STILL in the back. He told us we could take them home with us and even wheeled them out to my vehicle himself. WHEW!!! (This review is two-stars, but I would give Lorenzo six-stars if I could! Best demeanor and customer service skills I have seen in a LONG time!) Thank you so much for your help, Lorenzo! You saved my mothers sanity and now she can enjoy getting settled down into living here in Arizona. My husband (who retired out of Luke AFB after 26 years of active duty service) and I have lived in the Tri-City area for 20+ years and this is the first time this has ever happened. I have three words for you.....ATTENTION TO DETAIL! Hopefully this will never happen again!

I needed to get my passport updated ASAP because of some tech issues that overlooked for an upcoming trip to Canada. All i needed was to send it off overnight, expedited ( I read the Gosh Darn directions on how to update your name!). One woman told me that i would have to make an appointment because i would have to redue the entire process, but I clearly know I didnt. She immeidately said there was nothing she could do and the next appt wasnt until 13 Jan. A man named Stephen overheard the convesation and offered to take my appointment at that very moment and he would have my passport docs mailed off the very next day! He took me back and discovered that i could still use the old passport I had with my TX ID! He said "dont go and spent $160 dollars when you can just use your older ID...its not yet expired!" He was very helpful and i avoided having to go through the stress of having another passport ordered and waiting to see if it would even arrive on time and waste a whole lot of money that I dont have. Vancouver OLYPMICS here we come! GO USA! Thanks Stephen! Best experience Ive ever had at any US Post Office!

This place is a huge headache! I had a package that said it was delivered, but I never actually received it. I get that things happen and I was sure someone would at least try to help me out. Boy was I wrong. When I finally did get ahold of someone after trying over and over again for days, I felt that I was not treated with respect. I was told multiple stories and I was even told in a voicemail that they were closing my case because the mail carrier claimed that it was delivered to the correct person. After trying over and over to reach them AGAIN, I was told that they never said that and that they would be calling me back. I said okay, but then asked if there was an easier way to reach them because no one ever answers the phone and then I was hung up on! Its been close to two weeks since that conversation. I havent heard anything back and Im not holding my breath. Luckily, the company I ordered the package from was nice enough to ship me a replacement. From here on, I will be avoiding using the USPS at all costs. At least while I am living in Goodyear.

Truly, this place has been a horrific experience. I work a 7-4 job M-F, so picking up packages at this office is a nightmare. When I rushed back to Goodyear to pick up my package before 5, the I arrived at this post office to find everything closed and locked at 4:30PM. The posted business hours say 5 PM. I scheduled to get the package redelivered through the USPS official website. Now its 8 days after the scheduled redelivery and the package is... lost? In limbo? In the Twilight Zone? Wherever it is, I know its not with me and its supposedly also not at their post office. I have never, ever experienced such a terrible USPS office, and I have dealt with post offices in much worse areas (Pro tip to the post office worker who responded below me: The issue is not that the packages are getting stolen in Phoenix. I lived in central Phoenix and didnt have these issues. The issue is this post office staffs utter incompetence).

So I receive a hand written notice in my mailbox today that says, "mail will no longer be delivered. All mail AND packages will be held at Post Office for pickup from now on." Really?! My mail is usually checked every 2-3 days, and for the last 2-3 weeks it has been checked DAILY due to packages coming for Fathers Day. So are my packages too much of a hassle for the postman/woman to put them in the LARGER box with a key in my smaller box for me to retrieve?? Um is this NOT their JOB?! I work Monday thru Friday 8-5 like most folks do, so NOW I will only receive my packages on Saturday?!?! I have NEVER had a USPS delivery person leave a notice at ANY residence I have EVER lived in. This is ridiculous To say THE LEAST. Horrible customer service. Its a wonder the USPS is struggling to stay afloat. They dont want to do THEIR job at this location.

I ordered an item off of eBay for a really good deal. Paid $20 instead of $80+. My package went out for delivery but was never updated at the end of the day. About five days after that, I finally submitted a lost package claim. They called me a few days later letting me know it would be about 7 days before I would hear back about my package. I finally hear back and they cant tell me any information about my package. And if I want a refund I have to print my receipt and go into the post office in person. Leaving me with all of the footwork to fix their mistake. I understand mistakes happen, but this is not the correct way to fix them.

Only gave one star because I dont have the option to give ZERO stars! Twice in the past week, Ive ordered pick up services. The carrier has not picked up either time without me filing a complaint because they didnt pick up packages the first time. Every time I call the phone is either busy or it rings and rings with no answer. After seeing the reviews online and all of the issues others are having, I chose to escalate my concern to the main customer service number for USPS. Its time a new manager is hired at this post office. Its clear that customer service is not part of the culture from the top down at this location.
