I moved to W Jordan a little over three months ago. My first experience was opening a PO Box which went without a hiccup. The lady was rather pleasant to work with. Then after the second week there, their true colors started showing through. First was getting a key to a community mailbox. The guy I spoke with was in such a hurry he didnt care much about me as a customer who continually pays into his checking account via govt taxes. Ok, I understand everyone here in the SL valley is so far behind they are constantly in a hurry to get nowhere fast. Then packages I have ordered & shipped to the PO box start missing for up to two weeks. When I finally go in to file a missing packages report, they say the notice paper was in the wrong box & the package has been in the PO for a while. Ok, I can understand an occasional misplacing of a notification document, I misplace my keys occasionally too. But after the third package came up missing & my Bride goes to retrieve the mail & inquire as to if it ever arrived, they (the PO worker) tell her in a rather rude & demanding way, that I should have picked up my package when it was delivered. Well excuse me, but if YOU would have done your job & placed the notification slip or the key to the lock box in my PO box, I would have picked up the package a week ago! Well once again, I have a package that was suppose to be delivered the 27th of Oct. After checking the PO box religiously every day for a week, I finally received a notification slip on the 4th of Nov. claiming the package has been in the PO since the 27th. So the package did arrive as scheduled, but these people at the W Jordan PO office are either so far behind its a miracle anyone gets anything done, or they are so lazy its a miracle anything gets done. I had another package delivered to the house on the 4th of Nov. As was mentioned in another post, instead of placing the package in the lock box & placing the key in my community mailbox, they (the PO delivery worker) drop the package on my doorstep for anyone in the neighborhood to see. What poor service! With the amount of brazen thefts going on with deliveries, I would think the PO would be more interested in keeping their customers happy. Im guessing they simply dont care. My advice, if you have to use the PO in W Jordan for simple mailing of junk mail, you should be fine but for anything more I would highly suggest another PO. Im seriously considering moving my PO box just because of the experiences Ive had with them so far. Its just unfortunate I cant reliably have any mail delivered to the house as it may end up in the gutter & down the street for anyone to pick up.

I have never written a negative review before, but this one constitutes it. I shipped a package that had a CPU in it. In transit the CPU was damaged. I filed a claim. A week or so later a letter came in the mail to have me take my package to a post office to have an inspection don’t. Barbara, the manager, looked at the package in the back for a while then came out to speak with me. She came out and said " I don’t see anything wrong with your package", even though the box was destroyed and the CPU had pins broken off and bent. So I asked her to bring the package back up front so I can show her, and proceeded to show her the numerous bent pins, and areas where pints had been broken off of the actual CPU. She said, she didnt know what it looked like before so it could have always looked that way. Short of photographing everything you ship before you ship it that can be true for anything. The box was clearly damaged, and after explaining how each pin on a CPU needs to be in the right place and present, to work she admitted it was broken but I had packaged it improperly with bubble wrap and newspaper. Again, short of wrapping it in a Kevlar, bubble wrap and newspaper are the only real ways to protect anything you ship!!! She said she was denying my claim. I accepted this and started to ask questions of what I should do in the future so that USPS wont mark it as "packaged incorrectly", she said I needed to use bubble wrap and to prevent anything from moving inside the box with peanuts or paper........ Which I did. In trying to ask her more questions to understand how much bubble wrap or paper or whatever so that my claim isn’t denied, she kept saying that she wasnt going to approve my claim. I wasnt trying to get her too, I just wanted more information so I could prevent this situation in the future. She got more and more hostel and eventually shoved my package back at me and said "maybe another post office can help you", and shut her door on me before I could say a word. I wasnt arguing with her, I wasnt trying to coax her into approving my claim, I just wanted information on how to avoid my claims being denied in the future and I was treated EXTREAMLY poorly. Avoid this post office at all costs.

I absolutly HATE this post office... If I could give it zero stars I would. Wed had issues with people stealing our mail out of our business mailbox, so after weeks of fighting and begging and making trips to the post office we finally got into a community locked mailbox next door. After a few weeks, the entire community box was broken into and everyones mail was stolen. I have now been fighting and begging and working with the post office for weeks trying to figure out when its going to get fixed... theyre rude everytime I call (if I can happen to get a damn person on the line when I call) and theyre even more rude when I go in. Half the time my carrier would forget that our box was broken and takes our mail to deliver it anyway. Instead of dropping it off here, she hangs onto it and takes it back to the post office at the end of the day. I cant tell you how many times Ive waiting in ridiculous holiday post office lines only to be told there is no mail. When I explain to them its a business, that there is no way I dont have mail to pick up after 3+ days, they act like Im an idiot. It always takes forever to determine what has happened to my mail, and I know I am still missing a TON of mail from the past 2 weeks. Now for the past 2 days Im being told that the box is fixed, and my mail is being delivered, but no one can tell me where my damn keys are! The supervisor was supposed to call me back yesterday, no call. Ive called a dozen times today and always get a busy signal... I wish I had the option to take my business elsewhere!! They know we have no choice so they figure they can treat us like garbage and it wont matter...
