We visited Discount Cabinets in Mesa on a Tuesday. We brought our kitchen layout along with some bathroom vanity dimensions. A young man took us to the back where the cabinet display was so we could view the colors and styles. He made it clear that he didnt know much because he was just a shipping/delivery guy. The person that handles the cabinet design/sales was out of the office. So, he took our layout sheets and wrote down my email and said that they would get back to us with an email for an estimate. Well, four days go by and I never got my email estimate like I was told. So, I email them mentioning who I was and that we stopped in with our layout to get an estimate last Tuesday. I also made a point to mention that we needed to make decisions soon so our remodel could progress, so if they could please get back to me that would be great. Well, another four days go by and still nothing. So, my wife gives them a call and leaves a voice mail explaining the same thing; that we dropped off our layouts over a week ago looking for an estimate (because nobody seems to answer the phone?). Well, another four days go by and still no callback or return email! What a joke for customer service. I can only imagine how bad it would be once they have your money. If a new prospective customer is treated this badly, I imagine its much worse. We went with another company and are very glad we did.

I have been a general contractor since 1999 and recently tried Discount as a supplier and installer for a remodeling project. They made major errors on the bid - they missed 3 cabinets completely, forcing me to lose all my profit in the project to cover the additional cost of these. I had already submitted my bid to the customer and suddenly had hundreds of dollars in increased costs. They used a used car salesman tactic trying to make it look like I was getting a deal on the remaining three because they discounted them. They showed up the day of the install missing a cabinet. I had to cancel my scheduled granite install date. They made promise after promise to show up with the missing cabinet. I scheduled the granite guys (Lees Counters in Phoenix...great guys BTW) a week later. Every day Discount promised to show up and did not. Lees hung around and waited painfully long for them to show up. Finally they had to go...Discount showed up at 4:30, with no intent to install, only deliver!!! Lees has a $350 return trip charge they charge for coming back. Discount felt no responsibility towards this fee at all...it was my problem, not theirs. They charge their full price up front, not after the job, so I was left high and dry without recourse. I would NOT recommend them for any project. I do not appreciate a dishonest company at all.

WARNING: Please be wise and DON’T do business with Discount Cabinets of Mesa Arizona. You may get a lower price, but it will not be worth it and it will cost you more in the long run, believe me you will be sorry! Customer service and call backs are non-existent. Once they have your money, it’s off to the next person and the heck with whatever they promised you. Their installers are a joke. If you don’t take my warning, please believe me you will remember this review/posting when it happens to you. One last thing, if you do buy cabinets from these folks, whatever you do, do not buy granite or you will be extremely disappointed. They use granite imported from China which is where their cabinets come from. The granite is a cheap pre-fabricated imitation/copy, which is granite, but of the lowest quality available. There are many reputable granite installers out there. Go and purchase your granite slab from a reputable place and then have it processed to your needs, DO YOUR HOMEWORK!(I wish I did). I am not writing this review in order to promote any other business, I am writing it in hopes that what happened to me, will not happen to you and your family. Sincerely, The guy who got screwed!

If you are looking for a company that doesnt contact you about your order, doesnt deliver when they promise, and when they do deliver the only deliver part of your order, then Discount Cabinets is the place for you! I ordered a 24" linen cabinet for my master bathroom and was promised delivery for the next week. Upon delivery day, I received no call in regards to my order and when I contacted Jeff, he informed me that they hadnt even built my cabinet, and that parts had not come it yet. I understand that delivery of parts sometimes takes extra time, all I wanted was a phone call informing me that they would not be able to make my order due to the missing parts. I finally got the cabinet the next week and it looked good all except for the missing toekick. A 24" piece of laminate has been missing from my cabinet for nearly 3-1/2 months. I have contacted them multiple times and have received the same promise of delivery and the same lack of delivery every time. DO NOT do business with Discount Cabinet, they apparently dont know what business is! It seems to me that the discount was the customer service and care!

I bought a rental property and needed cabinets. I stopped in this place because it was close to where I had breakfast. I sat with Chris and recd a quote, which was a lot lower than the other quotes I received from other places--at this time, I didnt buy anything just went home to think about it. I read the reviews at this time and I was apprehensive about using this company because of how terrible the reviews were. I called Chris and discussed my concerns--like everyone on this earth, I didnt want to lose money and be taken advantage of. He asked me the timeframe I needed them installed by. I told him I was leaving by June 22nd and I needed them done by then (this was the first week in June). He assured me they could make that time frame and I ordered. Chris kept in contact with me, and everything went as planned. This was a great experience and Im glad I used them. Thanks for reading.

Great Price and good product if you get the right guy to come out and measure you are golden. The only issue was the measurements and layout of our cabinets. We were completely redesigning our kitchen so measurements were taken before some walls were removed. We told this to the guy who came out to measure as if the wall were not there but when the cabinets arrived they measured to where the old walls stood. After some back and forth and re-measurements the company came through and replaced the cabinets with the correct size. Little bit of hassle but ultimately was a good price and service for what we received. They company they use to install the cabinets is Awesome they do a great job and are in and out before you know it. They even worked with us when we wanted the cabinets moved up a few inches.

It looks like others have written "not so positive" reviews about Discount Cabinets. For the record, I had a great experience with this company. If you want to save money on some quality cabinets, this is the place to go. Jeff and Josh helped me design a kitchen that really helped me make the best use of space in my small home being remodeled. I was able to get them at a great price and they were ready in less then 10 days. My contractor had never worked with them before, but he mentioned that plywood cabinets at the price I got them for was a great value. When my installer needed a few extra pieces of trim and moulding, I was able to pick them up on the next day. Overall, I was very happy with the entire experience.
