What a joke. I go to the gym only about two time a week. I play basketball and you would think the floor might be mopped at least once a week. It never is, the rims are always busted up, and the nets are pretty messed up too. I asked one of the staff if they had an extra net and he looked at me like I was an idiot. The janitorial staff seems like they are just there for a paycheck, Hand sanitizer is constantly out, as well as paper towels. Did I mention the gym floor is always dirty with dust and trashy?? I think the staff spends more time out back smoking who knows what then actually cleaning. An the staff is very disrespectful and rude as well. If they are off shift, they will treat you like crap as if they dont even work there. What a joke. Oh, and I have complained directly to the staff about the floors being dirty and you think they did anything about it? Nope, I actually had to get a mop and mop the floor myself to get it done. The only reason I go to this gym anymore is its close to my home, and all my friends and family go there ONLY, and I say ONLY because it is convenient. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. If I could give zero stars I would. I have filed a complaint to them previously. You think anything got done? Sure didnt. When they say we offer premier gym equipment, yeah, they might have cool machines and stuff, but a manager told me that they don;t even clean the equipment daily. How does that make you feel that you are working out on someone elses sweaty machine? I have a manager call me the other day saying they would clean the basketball gym daily since they had gotten so many complaints. Yeah right!!!! This guy must be a comedian. Take one step in there. There is trash everywhere, floor is dirty, scuff marks all over the floor. Neither water fountains work. How can you tell me that? Are you even qualified to manage? When your shift is almost over do you not go through and make sure everything is done and done right??? MANAGE YOUR STAFF!!! Dont sit up front and talk to the young front desk girls. You run a gym. AGAIN I SAY THIS!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. $50 A MONTH GETS THROWN INTO SOME PERSONS POCKET BECAUSE IT SURE DOESNT GO TOWARDS MAINTAINING THIS GYM. UNBELIEVABLE.

I have been with LA Fitness for about a year now. Nice gym. However, I have been locked in a training contract for a year. $220.00 a Month on top of 2 Membership fees(My girlfriend and I - $36.00 each) and I only meant to sign up for 6 months. I have no idea how I was pushed into a year, which by the way they refuse to show me my agreement... It took 4-5 months to find a decent trainer that really cared at all about doing their job. My trainer now is amazing.The billing is dreadful. I cant afford this bill. Not to mention who ever is in charge of billing is terrible. How am I supposed to count on someone billing me on the new mysterious day every month. In Jan this year(2015) it went from the 30th to the 14th. Made me go negative in my bank account, had to get a loan just to clean up after LA Fitnesss mess. well they tried to do it again in Feb. I called to see if someone could fix this. I called and what sounded like a very young kid told me only the Customer Service Managers work with billing. He put me on hold for what must have been 10 minutes. This guy, I think his name was Mike, comes on the line laughing talking to other people then finally says, "Hey so this is how its done. we bill you every 28-30 days." I explained to him that I was fine with that and asked how it went from the 30th to the 14th. The question was ignored. Then I asked if there was anyway he could work with me and move it back to the 30th. He responds with, "You are just gunna have to work with your bank because thats just how its done." At that point I was officially done with LA Fitness. The only thing I like about this gym is My trainer. John H(From the Location on 1731 S Greenfield Rd, Mesa, AZ 85206). Hes awesome, I know how to eat better and work out correctly thanks John! Anyways, The locker room is disgusting and the customer service is rude. I have officially paid LA Fitness $3000.00. $3000.00 is a lot of money. I could have bought a nice car with that amount of money down. This is how I get treated. Well im done. I am in process of canceling my contract and my membership. I will never go back. Good Riddence.

Well, after being lied to at the LA Fitness on Signal Butte, I thought Id give another location a try... what a mistake! My girlfriend talked to an employee two days in a row who we thought was being honest and helpful, but we later learned that was not the case. Both days, the employee told her that if we came in on a specific day (a so-called "membership appreciation day"), he would be able to waive the initiation fee and we would only have to pay for the first and last months in advance. Well, we went in on that day, and after sitting to wait for a manager for 10 minutes or so, we were shown the rates and fees for signing up. Long story, short, we were not given the opportunity to waive the initiation fee, but were told we could pay $66 plus the first and last months for both of us ($170 total)!?! Wait... what happened to waiving the fees? When questioned about the fact that the fees were not being waived, as we were told they would be, they shrugged it off and came up with an excuse that there was a misunderstanding between the manager and the employee! Im sorry, I dont care that there was a misunderstanding, you told us the same thing twice and then backed out when we showed up. But.... the story does not end there. After pleading our case, I made the call that we would go elsewhere for a membership, and I told the guy that it was BS (only I said the REAL word) that they lied to us. At that point, he told me I needed to leave "his" gym, which I can only assume is because I said BS. Then, after I shoved my chair in, he had the audacity to call me a "tough guy" and then to act aggressive towards me!!! I cannot believe the unprofessional behavior that took place. First they lied and then they acted threatening to a potential customer. Honestly, I dont care about the membership fees... thats not a big deal. What I do care about is the fact that they lied so blatantly just to get us in there with the thought that we would just shrug our shoulders and pay anyway. Id rather pay more per month and go somewhere with better ethics than ever consider going to LA Fitness.

Went to see facility. Staff went through analysis of weight and my goals. I told him not necessary and I wanted to check all other local gyms in one day. Stuck going through silly questions like will I show dedication ?. Hooked me up to electrical device that showed I was in worst condition device could display, acted like I was completely out of shape and near having a heart attack. Then did math and told me I needed to lose 11 pounds to get to my ideal weight. Do they just call an ambulance for someone 25 pounds overweight ? It was a ridiculous. Then wrote down sale price ending that day (every gym I went to had sale ending that day), asked me why I would not start saving myself right then, gave legit reason and he crumbled up and threw paper out. Forget that he lied about having a steam room, that I insisted on seeing after tour was complete only to get some lame excuse as to lack of communication. Insulting and comical at the same time. Will never go into this place again even if they buy up every other gym.
