The instruction in group classes given by Jenell and Jim are fantastic. Jenell has the ability to actually teach technique in group classes, which in my experience is unique. My only reservation and the reason for only four stars is that the studio itself is WAY too small. Jim and Jenell teach American Smooth and International Standard, and all of these dances travel LOD. It is impractical to dance much in this studio without serious corrections for the limits of the floor size, especially when there are a number of people in the group classes.

This is a warm, comfortable, and fun studio. Jenell is just the very best teacher, keeping lessons fun, yet with great eye to detail and styling. I am amazed at how intuitively she understands your errors, and the "just what I needed" technique corrections that give each class one or more "Ah Haaa" moments. For someone who is widely known as the very best teacher in all of Phoenix, her prices are still very reasonable. Love the place!

For many years Ive been taking private lessons with Jim Maranto. Jims attention to detail regarding technique, choreography and styling is exceptional. Jim and Jenells instruction in all styles of dance is superb whether one is a competitive dancer or just wants to social dance.

5*Incredable teachers both Jenell and Jim. Other teachers in the past but these two are special. They make dancing FUN and are terrific for every level-beginner to pro-whether American or International style. Group and resonable cost private lessons are available.

This place has good classes for learning the syllabus (bronze and silver). Very comprehensive. Good for people dedicated to learning more about Ballroom; good technical skill builders are presented both in classes as well as in private lessons.

Great Latin Class! We attended the Wednesday night Latin Class and the instructors are very knowledgeable, helpful with questions and technique.and made it fun. The class was very well attended with a good number of couples.

If you want to learn how to dance, this place is amazing. Both Jim and Jenelle of years of experience and you will see and feel results immediately. You cant go wrong with the Academy of Ballroom Dance!
