I enrolled my daughter to get ready for an audition. I loved her teacher, Clayton. He was kind, professional, and encouraging for my teen. I could recommend him to anyone. Elisha was good too. However, when a manager told me I had missed an appointment twice, which was not true, and went on to tell me I had not called and she could prove it, I was outraged. DF was now adding a charge that was flat out dishonest. I went on my phone after she berated me and basically called me a liar and sent her a screen shot of a 9 minute call the week she swore I hadnt called. I tried to explain her front desk guy had messed up a few times on our schedule...but it was clear that they cant be wrong. The fact is, you cant have a lesson without paying ahead. I had all my records and receipts. My daughter had her lessons, which they easily could have canceled or stopped her if payment wasnt received. Yet they didnt. Why? Because wed paid before the lessons. We had cancelled the only one she could not make. We knew the policy. I wish I could charge them for the lesson we had to change because they forgot Clayton was busy. Or the one I booked with a teacher that was out of tow. It was clearly on her schedule, blocked out, but front desk guy said that wasnt true. My teen always noticed the blunders. Somewhere along the way something got screwed up. Id gotten no calls from a manager until I requested they refund a lesson that I was charged for but not made myself. A teacher had put it on the books despite me telling them I needed to check my schedule. Of course, DF was not wrong for that. Nor were they wrong for saying we were scheduled with Clayton and yet he wasnt available. They werent wrong in telling us Clayton was able to teach one hour of a 2 hour booking. Instead we were tossed to another time slot and teacher. It only changed because I replied to the email and said "no". DF screwed up my day because their mistake pushed the time up. Its ok for them to mess with my time. How ironic. Weve had many scheduling conflicts. Usually up at their front desk. DF needs to figure out their system and accept that maybe they have a glitch or made a mistake on their end. I wont take my daughter back. Ever. A few of her private lessons were in a crowded room where other people having lessons had country music blaring. ( Not so great for Cha Cha lessons.) She could barely hear her teacher. I sat and watched other dancers cross and interrupt her time. Of course, DF had nothing to say about that. It was so confusIng I could tape any of her lesson. DF has some growing to do and the manager needs to learn how to talk to people and problem solve. My phone log showed another part of the story and she really didnt care to hear any side but hers. Be careful. If youre one with a problem, youll be wrong...because they certainly arent.

DF is such a fabulous studio to learn Ballroom and Salsa! I have been looking for a studio for the last few years to help fill the dance void after I left Vegas. Maria, the owner, loves what she does and is the sweetest and most caring studio owner I have met. You can tell she treats all her employees with the up most respect and takes her personal time to get to know each student! Even the other staff members have such warm and inviting personalities. When I went to try Ballroom, she connected me with one of her amazing Ballroom teachers, Corey. With his experience and background, he takes time to teach the techniques with precision and accuracy; and within four months, I was invited to compete in my first competition in Vegas with him. Corey loves what he does and it shows! I have even watched him with other students and it is so inspiring and makes me want to work harder! (and I may be a slight perfectionist too...) Its been hard to get the "ballet" out of me and Corey is very kinesthetic of the Ballroom technique. If you are looking for an awesome studio with the best accredited instructors, go here!! Not only will you get the up most respect from Maria and the teachers, but you will learn so much while having so much fun!

My son was going to the summer break dance class and they kept telling me to get a punch pass because its less money. So I buy it and its something that they keep track of on their computer. I have no way of knowing when my punch pass is up. So I call to double check but its the first day of the season so my punch pass doesnt apply anymore. So basically they are keeping my $20 that was not used. Im a single mom and money is tight. I wouldnt have bought a punch pass with only 3 weeks left in the season. Why would they sell me a punch pass with only 3 weeks left in the season???? Just to keep all the extra money??? Not impressed. No one told me that if there was any extra money they were keeping it, no one clarified any of this info before taking my money. The girl on the phone just kept telling me that there are no returns and exchanges. No one told me anything like that. This is the first time Ive dealt with any sort of dance company and Im not impressed with their keeping my money. No one has called to clarify or offer to transfer it. This is my first experience with them and I would tell people not to go here because they will take your money.

DF Dance Studio has been a DREAM COME TRUE for me. I have wanted to learn salsa for as long as I can remember, and when I finally got up the courage to do something about it, I dont know how I got so lucky as to stumble upon Marias studio. Not only are Maria, Katia, Carlos and the rest amazingly skilled and incredible dancers, motivating and breathtaking just to watch, but they are also extraordinary teachers. By that I mean they are able to break down the moves and steps for even the most basic of beginners as well as for the more experienced dancer to incorporate what is learned into real dancing, not just stepping. Maria and Katia, whom Ive had the most experience with, are striking for their ability to encourage when we get frustrated, their patience, kindness, and their ability to make learning fun. I have truly found a family here at DF. Thank you, Maria, for all youve done to make this happen!!! I tried to rate "best ever" with that little yellow star with ribbons on it like Lynette did but, sigh, felt proud just to figure out how to make 5 stars show up!! Laughing!! Lots of love, Marianne

Terrible for Kids classes. Unorganized, overenrolled, and plain chaotic. The instructor is an amazing dancer with terrible class management and should teach adults. He told my 5-year-old to leave class (not knowing his name, or if his parent happened to be sitting outside the class) and, apparently intended to come get him in a few minutes. My son was found crying in the parking lot at 6:40pm on State Street. I cant believe nothing more horrible happened. The parking lot situation on State Street is downright scary at night, if you can find a spot, and DFs brilliant way to address this is to have parents cars towed (because the DF window stickers couldnt be seen/fell off). Three parents of kids in class were towed during one hour class. I refused to have my son go back to the overcrowded class, and even after DF Dance had put my child in obvious risk of safety by their terrible practices, the owner still charged me for the remainder of the classes because I had signed a contract for one more month. I still shake my head that the money is all that matters there.
