I was given a promotional coupon from a storage place down the street from this Extra Storage location. I used the coupon for one month free (which ended up taking care of the 25 dollar initiation fee so ultimately this coupon was worthless). I am storing a car at Extra Storage while on long vacation, and am having my mail forwarded to me along the way. By the time I received any mail from Extra Storage, it was a notice of a late fee for failure to pay. I called to find out why I hadnt recieved a bill, and was under the impression the first month had been paid for in advance. The clerk told me that Extra Storage does not send out invoices via email or snail mail, but would do so for an additional dollar per month (this would be good to know when signing up.) I asked why they can send a notice of late payment, but not an initial bill and was told that the notice of late payment was a courtesy to the customer. Extra Storage needs to get their act together. If postage is a problem for them, how about an email listing the summary of charges? I have called and left messages, as there is no one answering phones, and have not heard back. This has happened twice. Tomorrow, I have to call back to speak with a manager to try to have the 10 dollar late payment fee reversed. For storage, I have everything taken care of down the street at Cave Creek self storage. The rates are great, air-conditioned units. The staff is friendly. Grounds are well kept and best of all, they provide a free truck for anyone moving in (priceless). I will not use Extra Space storage again. Its just another example of a company getting too big to manage their customers.

I moved to Phoenix about a year and a half ago and was downsizing so I needed storage, being 800 miles away it was hard to secure a place without seeing it. I contacted several comapnies and decided to go with Extra Space @ 17407 N. Cave Creek Rd. This location was actually slightly out of the way from my residence, although it is in a good location and easy to get in and out of, but due to the communication I had with the staff I knew I would not be disappointed, and I wasnt! My experience has been quite pleasant, I had initally reserved a unit that would require quite a walk to load and unload, the staff recommended a drive up unit....this is the way to go! The staff also recommended the insurance which was very affordable. The facilities were kept up well and provided flexible hours and plenty of lighting for those times I had to go at night. All in all I couldnt have had a better experience, staff was awesome, unit was the perfect size and the price fit my budget! I would like to thank Janice and Travis for their help!

I have been with Extra Space for a year now. My rate has gone up $5 every 6 months. No trash dumpster to be seen. I have seen the gate arm hit 2 cars so far when people have been driving in and out. Lots of damage to the buildings from people hitting it. No cameras until a couple months ago. Will be moving to new storage for less money than what I paid Extra Space one year ago. Extra Space is not worth the money! Call around, you will be happy you did. 4/4/12 Update: Ive noticed that the online payment system is setup to automatically RAISE your rent every 6 mos! Call the folks running it and have them do a move-out and move-in to go back to lower rates. Why do us folks that have been with you for so long (3 years now) get penalized for being a good, consistant paying, customer!? I called around and Extra Space is now the highest priced storage in the area. Call around before moving all your stuff in here.

The manager is amazing but shes the only thing this place has going for it. Prices are high to begin with. Then a mere 4 months into your lease they try to raise your monthly rent by $10. For what I was paying I could have gotten an indoor unit 2 or 3 sizes larger anywhere else. The entire property is poorly lit at night. To the point that I had to use a flashlight to see inside my unit. It was literally pitch black. My 4th month leasing the unit I made the payment 3 days late. The night before I made the payment I needed something for work from my storage and was denied access to the property. Thats a little ridiculous if you ask me. Rent somewhere else.

One of my biggest requirements is drive up access and this facility has plenty of it! I want to pull my truck up to the unit and not mess with carts or dollies. Theres also plenty of room between buildings so vehicles can get by if youre unloading. And no more backing up a trailer if youre blocked in. This facility also has good access to Hwy 101 so I can get in and out quick. I signed up online and got a great price. Previously I had a unit at Uhaul and they were charging more for a smaller unit without drive up access. You also had to use a card key which was a pain. Extra Space Storage is a dream compared to that place!

My situation seemed complicated (impossible) but Corey at Extra Space saved the day! My last minute decision to pack a rental truck in Los Angeles and drive to Arizona could have been stressful but Corey made suggestions that were so helpful. I did not know that I could sign a contract in Los Angeles for a storage unit in Phoenix! Genius! And great customer service from June at the Sherman Oaks, California location as well. Fast and efficient. A company such as this which has a high demand product could easily ride on that but they go beyond and give that extra special touch. Thanks everyone at Extra Space Storage!

This facility was conveniently located. My experience with the office staff was excellent. They were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and expedient. No sales pressure, the unit I wanted was available and they honored their pricing deal. All my items were in order and I was on my way in a short time. The storage unit I rented was clean as well as the entire facility. I have experienced no issues since using the facility for over a month now and feel my belongings are secure. I have made many visits and have always found the site clean and organized. I recommend Extra Space Storage.

This storage facility location is so wonderful! I came here with my friend who rented a unit here and it was the best customer service we have ever experienced. Janeen was so helpful in explaining the different unit sizes and the coverage that they offer. The property is very well maintained and Janeen was so nice and very patient on all the questions we had about everything! If I am ever in need of a storage unit myself I will definitely be getting one at Extra Space Storage at this location.

I have been using this storage place with my company for a year now. They did such a good job that I used extra space for my personal storage needs as well. The current manager Carlos has been helpful and efficient every time I have needed. He also has interacted well with other customers while I have been there. I would definitely recommend this extra space storage to anyone. Ice Cream
