I called to check on prices for a haircut and three colors. I was quoted a price and when I asked if I would be charged more for having additional colors done, I was told no, that a color is a color. I went in for my services and the quote the stylist, Kimberly, gave me was the same as when I called - $115.00. I showed Kimberly the color I wanted and we discussed my haircut. After I was done and it was time to pay, I was told my cost was $160.00 and that it was for the added color. The next day when I washed and styled my hair, I realized the color was no where near what I wanted and my hair was so dry and the ends looked like I stuck my finger in an outlet. I took pictures and had friends and other stylists look at my hair and they said it was burned. Also, you could not tell that I even received a haircut. I called to speak with a manager and was told that there wasnt one in, that they come and go whenever. I left my name and contact information. I called again and spoke with the manager, Kevin, who gave me so much push back. He refused to provide me even a partial refund and said I could come in and see the same stylist and if she thought something was wrong, she could fix it. He also said since the stylists are contracted, they would not provide me a refund. He basically refused to listen to me as he said that he has never received complaints about Kimberly before, that she does a good job. Apparently, he doesnt know about the customer always being right. I went elsewhere and had to have my hair cut really short to get rid of the burned hair. I do not recommend anyone go to Norterra Salon for hair services. I received a better haircut at a way cheaper price and better service at a different salon.

2 stars because of management. I went in for a package deal that I got for Mothers Day last year and scheduled first was my gel pedi. Well apparently it wasnt a gel pedi but clearly stated that on my balance. So me being confused and thinking they would acknowledge the manager just sat there and argued with me in front of multiple people. Just not a very good experience and not a way to earn business in my opinion. Theres always some kind of extra cost or this or that. Just dont have time for that. Same thing happened with my manicure, was poorly done and he argued with me when I asked to have it fixed and done properly. Came into enjoy my hour to myself not deal with terrible management. On a good note, the lady that did the pedi was great! He definitely put her in an awkward situation but she handled it well.

Love this place! I received a gift certificate to this salon as a Christmas gift. Otherwise I dont know that I ever would have found it, its kind of a tucked away little gem. I got a gel mani/ pedi from Joseph that has been lasting beautifully for well over 2 weeks now. I am rough on my hands and feet too so that says a lot for the quality of the gel products used, most gel manicures last a week tops for me before chipping. Yummy coffee from the local brewery, Elevate Coffee around the corner and wonderful massage chair... Yes please! I highly recommend Joseph too. Five star wholeheartedly here, from the customer service, to the nail tech, to the product. I will definitely be coming back!

My husband went in for a mens haircut. He had our 9 year old son with him. When he got there they treated him very awkwardly and after making him wait for 15 minutes, they told him he had to leave because there were no children allowed in the salon. Im not sure why this policy isnt stated when booking an appointment. Simply having it somewhere on there website does no good if you drive by and call for an appointment. It was very rude and a waste of time. This isnt a high end salon like they seem to think. Even Dolce lets you bring a child in to sit quietly while you get a haircut.

my hair cutter just moved out of the country indefinitely, and i was in desperate need of a hair cut. im always nervous to switch to a new cutter, once i find a good one, i keep them. i called and explained what i needed and the set me up with someone who fit my style and needs. they matched me perfectly... and i got a great hair cut and style... i will definitely be back over and over again... and i must say that the chairs you sit in to get your hair washed are the most comfortable ive ever been in!!! seriously...

I really want to like this place. Each time I come, I am let down. I have decided that they clearly do not need my business. Their customer service is really lacking. The few times I have visited, I have been rushed and made to feel I was a burden to service. I have tried to come back thinking the salon/or person I was seeing for nails or massage was having a bad day, only to have repeat poor customer service. I will take my business elsewhere. Could have been a great place, with so much potential.

I normally dont write reviews but felt the need to redeem Kimberly. I almost didnt go to this salon because of the reviews, but they were able to get me in last minute. I got Kimberly. She is an fn rock star!!! I wish I took before and after pics. She did an amazing job on my color and cut. My hair looks and feels fabulous. Its crazy how many compliments I have received. Its VERY clear this girl knows her stuff. If I lived in Phoenix, I would not go to anyone else. THANK YOU KIMBERLY!

I have been to Norterra Salon twice to get my hair cut, and will be going there from now on. It has been so hard to find a good place in the past, and I am relieved to finally find a place that can handle my fine hair. Sherri did an awesome job, and would recommend her to anyone. In fact, the first time I went in for a cut, I got more compliments on my hair than I ever have. Nice friendly staff, and great price for the awesome service provided.

I visited Norterra while travelling in the area, and had a great experience with Katherine, one of their massage therapists. She used exactly the right combination of technique and pressure that I requested, and I left feeling terrific. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good massage in the area. The prices were very reasonable, the facility was nice and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I went here about a month ago to get my hair cut and my eyebrows waxed. I went to Nicky, she did a great job on my hair and had a wonderful attitude. I am new in town and had to find a place to take care of my hair. I will be back to this place in the future. I also got my eyebrows waxed, the person who did them, did a great job. Make sure that you call ahead of time to make an appointment to get your waxing done.
