Well, first of all, when my boyfriend, my daughters and I went to go to the WHOLE reason we picked this resort for our staycation, their water park, "The Falls", was closed. It was closed. So we went swimming in the pool below our room. There were bees EVERYWHERE!! There were more than 10 bees we had to fish out of the pool so that my girls would swim. It was irritating. Later that night I went to put the television on in the bedroom. It took several times turning it on and off before the picture actually showed. In the morning my boyfriend called to rent a cabana. The woman on the phone told him that they would be closing early that day. At 2:30pm they would be closing for a photo shoot! Really?! Then she asked him if he still wanted to rent the cabana. We did go ahead and rent one but there were ants all over. I understand that happens but for a luxurious resort they should spray ant killer around the area or at least spray the ground in the cabana so that we dont walk into an ant convention. Now, I was already irritated that the water park area was closing early but they had several areas closed off during the hours we COULD play there! Now I was annoyed and getting mad. We were told by our waiter our cabana needed to be vacated in 15 minutes around 2:15pm. So we left. We got to our room and I wanted to take a bath but the bathtubs plug wasnt screwed on and I couldnt get it to. No relaxing bath. Ugh. The next morning, the last few hours of our stay, I had planned to take my girls to "The Falls" but guess what? Closed AGAIN! So having chose The Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort was an epic fail. I had planned on going back to spend a couple of nights just the boyfriend and I but Im not so sure anymore. I guess we could as long as we dont want to enjoy a water park experience. The room was pretty good but I wish I could say we had a great time.

Im not one to ever write a review about anything ever, but my experience was worth sharing. Room was great. Went for a night on a groupon. Service though, another story. You could tell that the Supervisor, Wing, was already irratated by the look on her face when she was helping the group before i got up to her for check in. Knowing she was upset already, i tried having some small talk with her to maybe lighten to mood, after all, i was kind of irratated as well because of waiting in line for an hour. She wasnt having it though, and made every single thing as difficult as possible as she could for me. Probably thinking because i look young, i cant afford to stay there, i really dont know, maybe she was just in a bad mood, but she definitely made it clear that I would need to put a 500 dollar cash deposit down on the room because the card that a paid for for the room was not the same exact name on my ID, was my middle name. Fair enough, i understand. When i asked where i can withdraw cash since i had none on me, she got even more irratated at me and rolled her eyes and told me theres an atm down the hall. The atm only lets you withdraw 200 bucks, so i was still 300 short, so my girlfriend put her card on file for the deposit just to get done with this aweful process. As we left, she gave us a condescending farewell and rolled her eyes again as we walked away. The rest of the evening was fine and the place and the room are beautiful, but the professionalism of a 4 start resort, was pitiful. Nothing about this place, other than the location itself, screamed hospitality. Best Western or extended stay have much more pleasant staff, and coming from the Supervisor, it really tainted my experience.

This was the worst stay of my life. I paid 800.00 plus for a fake security guard to treat me like I broke into the resort. The toilet was clogged, the wet bar had a stench that was out of this world. They had to a treat it twice and the smell never went away. Security was rude said he received complaints that we where loud. We turned music off he came back saying we where still loud yet her could not hear us at the bottom of the stairs.I was so Upset I packing my food and left I felt harassed. When asked to talk to the manager I spoke to Brian- he assured me that he had not received any complaints and apologized, begged us to stay and told me he would no bill me for one night . I advised him I was leaving and would return tomorrow to pick up my belonging. He stated no problem if we did decide to stay or go there would be not charge. Returned to pick up my belonging Bryan gone home for day but had not advised day staff of the credit for one night. I asked what time he would be in and told them I would come back. Went back to talk to Bryan in person at 3pm he shared with me that his boss would not let him credit the room because we left out item there. I reminded him of our conversation and he agreed but said his boss over rode his decision. I told him that was not the agreement and it was not fair to me . because if that was the deciding factor we could have took our items with us. I disputed the charge called corporate never hear back.....The worst service no customer service, and they should honor the agreement that the manager made with me. I am a Hilton reward member Normally I stay at a Hilton property about twice a month. I will not stay at any of their properties EVER again.

The first room had roaches. So they put us into another one that was Roachfree. The room had an air filter that looked really dirty, and the tub drained slowly while showering. Other than that, room was clean and roachfree. Over the next few days, we enjoyed breakfast there and the staff we encountered at the onsite restaurants and pool were pleasant. On the 6th day, we splurged a bit at the pool all day, then some storm clouds started rolling in. So we packed up and started hiking up to our room. When we arrived, our key didnt work. My wife, kids and newborn baby standing in the cold while its raining, outside. So I hightail it to the front lobby, a few minute run. I tell the front desk clerk my key isnt working, and he tells me my credit card was declined. I tell him I need to get my wallet, Ive been at the pool all day. He says "we deal with you people all the time, I need another form of payment to activate your room key. " my newborn is outside in the raining cold, I didnt have time to teach this young man lessons on respect, I asked for the manager on duty, explained to him the situation quickly, and we got into a cart, went to the room and let my family in. Grabbed another card and said next time try calling your guest to resolve the situation instead of treating them like garbage. I dont ever post negative reviews about anything really. But I just felt compelled to let other people know, who may have families, to consider your options before staying here. I spent well over $3000 on this hotel, and it just was not worth the overall experience.
