I am giving two stars, because my massage therapist was absolutely amazing. However, on July 22nd I went in for a massage on my birthday. I had inquired about the 50 minute massage and out of curiosity I asked about the 90 minute massage. I told the girl on the phone that Id prefer to do the 50 minute, as I didnt have the 80 dollars to spend on the 90 minute. I went in for my massage and was completely pleased with the services provided to me. However, as you are supposed to be, I was very relaxed and did not notice the time passing. They had put me down for a 90 minute massage. When I went to pay, imagine my surprise when she told me it would be 80 dollars plus tip. I told her I had only wanted the 50 minute massage and the girl got very snobby with me and told me I had asked for the 90 minute. During our conversation on the phone I specifically said 50 minutes! This completely left a bad taste in my mouth. I of course paid for the service I got, even though I do not believe it was fair. This ruined my birthday AND I will not be returning. A word of advice, be sure to double check you are getting the service you want before you go into a room so you are not double charged like I was.

DONT DO THE MEMBERSHIP!!! I was a happy client just getting massages here and there. Decided to save some money and get the membership. The massage quality completely dropped off. Speaking with my wife who was in the industry informed me that the company pays the massage therapist less if the client is a member; hence why the quality dropped off. I said "ahhhh" make sense Ill go back to being a non-member; pay more but get better massages. Well come to find out cancelling a membership is like the classic "gym" hustle. I call into cancel was told on the phone no problem you will have one more bill come in a get your last massage. I did. Here is the "hustle"... August come around and I get billed again. I call in and state you all made a mistake please reverse charges. I am told oh well you cant cancel over the phone you have to come in. The owner was a block head. Kept repeat you have to come in to cancel. You have to come in a cancel. OK, but I was told differently. How are you going to handle this issue? He said...we will cancel moving forward. Which lets me know 59.95 is worth losing a customer for life. So be it. See ya. FYI, I have not received cancellation email yet.

Unfortunately, Hand and Stone really dropped the ball on this sale. As a former member of Massage Envy I was looking for another spa to join. When I made my appointment I scheduled a 90 minute massage online and received a confirmation for my time and appointment. When I got there they had no idea who I was and said I didnt have an appointment. When I showed them the confirmation email from that location, they checked their computer and realized no one had actually set the appointment. Oops! They scheduled me a new appointment in person and offered a free peppermint scalp massage add on for the trouble. I appreciated it, except when I came for my next appointment they had scheduled me for only a 60 minute when I requested 90 minute and reiterated that several times. Its very unfortunate because the massage was nice, and I really enjoy the extra services they offer compared to ME, but the reception staff just could not seem to get their act together. I really dont want to be tied to a contract with anyone who cant seem to get my appointments right repeatedly. Sorry!

HORRIBLE - dont waste your money here. I should have known something was wrong when the girl on the phone wouldnt give me directions. When I asked for directions, what exit, she told me to use Mapquest. I specifically reserved a deep tissue massage & the more expensive facial. Neither were worth half the money. The massage was not at all deep-it was very superficial. Total waste of money. The facial was so-so, but I asked for a focus on extraction and ended up finishing the job at home myself, minimal effort was made. Then the manager called me two days later asking about my experience, and when I told her all this she kept trying to make excuses for why it was not their fault. She would not give me any refund or reimbursement, or even any amount of credit to try them again. She was also condescending.

Buy one get one gift cards for the black friday deal is a complete scam. The ad shows a 1 hour massage is $49.95. So logically, Im thinking Ill get two 1-hour massages for this price, BOGO. I go in and they charge me $90. This was for a gift so I want in a position to just say "forget it, nevermind". When the person who received the gift saw the price (the girl put my receipt in the gift bag...) she immediately called and asked why they charged me so much. She was told that the rate advertised not one inch under the BOGO offer was not the gift card rate. WHAT?!? They then apologized that I had misread the ad. So if I gave her $50 cash she could go get a massage for an hour, but if I bought a gift card for a 1 hour massage its $90. Makes a ton of sense...stay away from this place!

From the moment you walk into the door you get an instant Zen vibe. I go in for different concerns depending on the day and each therapist has done an amazing job and catering to my needs...its so nice to take some me time and they are really great about getting me in in a timely manner, also very friendly and CLEAN which is a huge plus for me. I try to recommend this place as often as I can, the owners are so sweet and there is a lot of great work going on at this Hand and Stone! LOVED IT.

My husband and I have seen more than 10 massage therapists together at this location and went through a string of memorable visits for all the wrong reasons. We just couldnt seem to find the right therapist for us and almost cancelled our membership. Then we met Grayson and Ana and our lives changed! Grayson massages away all of my ailments, and Ana diminishes the tightness in my husbands muscles. This 5 stars goes to them! Thank you Grayson and Ana!!!

I have been going to Hand and Stone in Paradise Valley for 5 years. The facials with Misty are wonderful. She gives good advice and doesnt pressure you to buy each time (or any time). Andrea is my go to person for massage. She listens to my concerns and does a fantastic job. The staff is efficient and the atmosphere relaxing and CLEAN. They always know my name and are very kind.

I LOVE Hand and Stone! I have been a member for over 5 years and have NEVER had a bad experience. The owners, John and Jill, go out of their way to make you feel welcome and every therapist is exceptionally good. I have significant issues with my lower back and I LOVE the deep tissue, always feel like a new person when I leave!! Thank you, Hand and Stone!
