If it were up to me I would give them ZERO stars, but you cant. Ive never used a storage facility and now I will never use one again. I would never recommend this particular facility or any of the facilities that are run by their area director. Before we moved into our home we needed to store our stuff for a month while we were out of state. We were never told that we needed to provide proof of insurance and to bring a lock (we assumed the lock was part of the price since we werent told otherwise). If I had been told these things I would have provided them, because I have them, BOTH. But no, I had to pay for both, which ended up costing me (we were on a tight moving budget) more than we had anticipated. When I question GLENDA about the insurance thing she said there was no way around it and insisted that I HAD to get their insurance...mind you I have my own and would prefer not to spend more money on something I already pay for. --Later when I spoke with the area manager/director, Greg Karr, he told me that I could sign a form stating that I didnt want their insurance. Well THAT would have been nice to know when I was speaking with Glenda, who assured me there was not another option... But yet I was still being charged for it and it couldnt come off until I signed the waiver, which I get. Except I was out of town and wasnt coming back for a whole month, we werent by another Public Storage to sign this waiver, and he couldnt email it to me. So, Glenda screwed us over. Greg told me a story about how a pipe had burst and someones belongings were damaged and since then poor, innocent Glenda worries over her customers and their belongings, Bull! Tell me that, dont outright LIE to me Glenda!--and then deny ever lying to me. He also said that some customers like to get their insurance because then their personal insurance doesnt take a hit. I was willing to take that hit, dont MAKE my decision for me by not giving me my options! As we packed up our truck to leave this Public Storage facility there was a gentleman who was also loading up a truck with his belongings. He was irate with Glenda AND Greg as well. His unit door was broken and they were unwilling to help him resolve the issue. He offered to stay there as long as he could get another unit to put his stuff in while they fixed the door. They turned him down for that. They turned around this mans good money, because they didnt want to deal with what exactly? How sad of a company you are when your customer service is crap. It seems like the only customer service these people know how to handle and deal with is one that doesnt involve a problem or issue of some sort. Overall super disappointed. My sister currently has her stuff there and we are pulling it out in the next month. This place is horrible!

I have stopped in this Public Storage address a few different times, regarding my move back to Chicago, Need lots of boxes. Glenda the manager is so kind and professional. I know I could get free boxes at safeway, but Glenda explained to me how the public storage boxes would be the better way to go. She is a very patient person. She did not put pressure on me to buy, but that is why I want to purchase packaging for moving from her. She is so easy to deal with, and keeps a spotless office, and treats all her costumers well, as I have been there when others were there. I recommend buying at this store because of the personal friendly respectful service that Glenda gives,

Made an appointment to come in at 9:30 am, I even took time off work and by 10 am still no one. Had the storage for well over a week, told 2 different people about the screws being out of 2 of the 3 hinges so the door flops when you open it. My mom is 77 so its sure not the way to treat your elderly tenants. They were sure quick to take their money though. I wish I didnt rent here but the money is gone. Still no one has contacted me to fix the door of the unit we paid for and cant keep anything of importance in. Bad bad management!!

The staff is great, the facility is clean and neat. However, my rates went up after a month or two, I was told it was corporate "keeping in line with the competition." Today, I received an email that there will now be a 2.4% surcharge on credit card autopays. To avoid this, they want you to connect your debit card, or pay by cash or check. Good thing I checked my junk mail! No problems with facilities or staff, but the corporate money-grubbing has me weighing my options.

Ive had storage units with other companies, but this is the best one! The place is very neat and clean. Glenda is one of the best managers Ive ever seen...She was very helpful when I came to check out the units, explained everything in detail, and made sure that I understood everything, asked if I had questions, and also mentioned that they had boxes, tape, locks and whatever I needed to pack my items. I left the property knowing that my items would be safe.

Glenda was efficient, thorough and knowledgable. She immediately showed me the appropriate storage room size that I needed and took me through the paperwork quite quickly. She also did an excellent job informing me that Public Storage has several products available for sale that would make moving and/or storing items more convenient. Lastly, its obvious that she takes her job seriously and she maintains a professional demeanor at all times.

I was in a unique position to need a short term rental and used Public Storage on Becker. The manager there Glenda was awesome. She got me checked in quickly and took really good care of us. Even knowing that we were not going to be long term customers she went above and beyond and was very professional. Would recommend Glenda and this location to anyone. As far as the unit: It was clean, it was climate controlled, and access was great.

This is my third post about Glenda because after all these years, she finds new ways to make our visit positive. She treats us as if were "real people," rather than just a storage unit number. She continues to be especially helpful and very friendly. She greets us with a smile and the entire facility is always immaculate. She goes out of her way to make all of our visits easy, which hasnt been our experience in other facilities.

This is a great, quiet place for your storage needs. I usually get there pretty early or really late and their hours are pretty accommodating and really affordable. I also wanted to recognize Glenda for her assistance. Although I got to the office pretty late when I first signed up, she was very accommodating and still showed me a few spaces. Im really glad I shopped around. Storage can get pretty expensive.

Glenda did an amazing job, she was very helpful when I went to check out the facility she was most helpful with the size unit I needed I wasnt sure on the space and she put my Mind at ease. She was very professional and explained everything in detail about the storage.... Glenda always greeted everyone with a smile and very cordial thats the service that brings back customers....
