I hate to give this a 3 star review, but due to unfortunate events I feel inclined to. Our initial experiences with the resort were great. The staff were very friendly, the amenities were on par with any large resorts, and the units were very nicely furnished. There was a Breakfest deal for 20 that would grant you access to the pretty limited contential Breakfest for an entire weeks stay, which the value felt well worth it. Ths location is great. I would dare say its within walking distance of the "fashion plaza" to the east, towards Scottsdale. Plenty of places to go towards that direction as it gives a 5 to 10 min drive over to Scottsdale which has loads of free parking areas. All of our beds, couches, chairs etc were very well kept. Our 3 bedroom unit had a full kitchen, dishwasher, full sized double door fridge, washer drier combo, and a total of 4 beds. The ammenties made it very comfortable living for our week there. The resort also has a full size pool, kids pool, hot tub (not sure why youd want to do that to yourself in the 100F heat) and sauna area. I wont talk much about these because we didnt really spend much time using the ammenties. Now time for the bad things. I dont have many, but heres a few smaller ones before the "BIG issue" I had. Our living room TV cable just seemed to stop working one day, and after being told a repair man would be by today... Then again the next day.... Then again the next day the front office finally just let us grab a few DVDs for free. I never saw the repair man. Getting a bit more nitpicky... The AC was locked at 72F, which by all means is cold, but there were just some days where I felt 72 wasnt really reaching the downstairs area. The units didnt have ice makers due to the type of fridge, so the hotel style ice buckets and machines were in full play here. Now the big one. The issue arose on our last day before our flight. During a monsoon, multiple areas in our living room started to leak. And Im not talking a few drops...water was pouring out from cracks, around the window seal, and around a structural beam that already had traces of water damage. It was also leaking upstairs around our HVAC intake, so out of safety I turned this off. Fortunately we were moved to a smaller, however dryer condo. The second, 2 bedroom condo still had some spots where it seemed the water leaking in. The staff offered to help us move, after the rain was over... But we just opted to load up our rental and move all of our stuff asap. I do have to say the staff did do a great job at getting us changed over and making sure we were all settled in. Final review is a 3 because honestly... Even though its a dessert and monsoon season is only once or twice a year, it was absolutely unacceptable to have that leaking situation happen to us. Yes, the staff did a good job getting us sorted out, but the inconvenience on our last day just left a bad taste in my mouth. I do recommend this resort, just book when its going to be dry :)

Have stayed here two nights with family and will be getting out of here today to stay at another resort. Seems clearly the place is for the much older crowd. Though they have a jacuzzi, your kids are not allowed to relax in it. Internet is sporadic at best, and of course when you need it - it doesnt work at all as apparently a wireless router is in every third villa. Dont get stuck in a villa thats the third one away unless you enjoy seeing "no network found" constantly. The free breakfast is a joke, especially considering this is a "resort". It consists of a couple of cereal choices, a few crusty mini muffins....and thats it. Eggs/bacon or sausage or anything normal? Forget it. Need to do laundry? Good luck. Our villa has a single unit washer/dryer combo....and only the washer worked. So my wife washed some clothes, only to be have to drape them on the patio chairs for a day to let them dry. Maid service? Apparently if youre a time-share owner, you get it daily. As a paltry "guest", you only get it every three days....nice little bonus you find out a day or two after checking in. Like anyone else, we work hard to enjoy a few one week vacations each year, and are very experienced in travel. This is the worst place weve ever stayed, are are checking out tomorrow to salvage the remaining days. At $300+ per night, I would have gotten more enjoyment burning my money in a fireplace than wasting it, and more importantly - our time - staying at this "resort".....what a complete waste of both.

Wont go back here again. The esthetician at the spa upcharged my sister and I for extra services we didnt ask for. Both of us got a facial and at the end we were told there is an additional charge because the esthetician decided to add things in our facial procedure and didnt ask us. The poolside grill was a joke! Dont eat here. Ordered chips n salsa. Got the tiniest cup if salsa Ive ever seen. Smaller than a golf ball. I asked for more salsa...they charged me $1.00 for another tiny cup of salsa big enough for 4 chips. I ordered a ham and Swiss panini. The waitress said the panini maker was broken and said I could have a grilled ham and Swiss. When I got the grilled sandwich it was one tiny slice of turkey with zero cheese. Unbelievable. Seriously. Looked like a horrible kids meal sandwich. I returned it and said that I ordered ham and Swiss, not turkey with no cheese. 35 minutes later I got another crappy sandwich with one slice of ham (no lie) and no cheese again. I paid the bill with cash and the cashier pulled change out of a fanny pack (No cash register) then said, "Sorry, I dont have enough change to give you so shorted me the amount I should have gotten back. This place was very unprofessional in every area. Will not go back.

Appreciated the townhome like "villas." Great for stays lasting more than four days. My husband, adult son and I traveled from Hawaii to Phoenix to attend our youngest daughters university ceremony. As we were staying for more than a week, it was nice that we had the comforts of home at our fingertips. The kitchen was stocked with the necessary cooking utensils, full sized fridge, stove, microwave and sink. The room also had a stacked washer and dryer. My husband and I had our own king sized bed downstairs that could easily be partitioned with a drawn curtain and our son had his own full size bed located upstairs in the loft. He also had his own TV in his area. The breakfast buffet was enough to hold our appetites till we were up and about exploring Phoenix and the surrounding areas. May consider staying here again though the only drawback is the pricey-ness per night.

we stayed here via a time-share with my girlfriend for the vfw convention we go to every year. I will say that this private little resort is very accomidating and can put the step in your foot to an everlasting peacfull, yet playfull time that enable everyody to have fun. Me and the boys ere able to hike Camelback mountain which is the best mountain in phoenix to hike. I would recommend staying at this resort when you would like to get away to a nice private resort that you can go out and do anything and everything, and have anything and everything back at the resort when you return. (in a private luxury type setting. My review is all thunbs up,thanks again, Bret, Melissa and the boys, ustin and calvin and koshi
