We were going to drop our daughter off for the first time today. Instead we ran back home with our daughter... Our impression this morning was just terrible. It makes me angry because these are children we are talking about. The second we park onto the street, we see a parent taking off, they had just dropped off their son. From inside the building, I hear a child crying, screaming actually. Followed by a woman screaming STOP IT! STOP IT! That was disheartening! To think that in 10 minutes, that was going to be my daughter crying, and some person yelling at her to repress her feelings instead of comforting her! When we walk in, I see the child. He is looking out of the window. The teacher sees us and changes her attitude a bit, saying softly "stop it, please". All the kids, of all ages, are hurdled into a small room with this teacher - a middle aged woman with short hair - "watching" them. I find out the teacher for the 1 year olds is late. Its 8:20 and shes supposed to be there at 8am. Shes the one who would be caring for my child. So there is no way for me to meet her. The staff try to frantically call her while Im standing there. They get no answer. I get the sense that this is not out of the ordinary and thats how things go around here. So I would be faced with the option of leaving my child with the teacher who screams at children when they are sad. NO THANKS. Why are people who dont love children even working in this field?!?! She should be ashamed of herself. And people who hired her should too. As if thats not enough, we witness a boy hitting a girl on the head repeatedly. The teacher does nothing to stop it. My husband tries making small talk with the teacher to get to know her, but she has no interest in getting to know the parents apparently. I dont usually write reviews, but this made me particularly angry because today I saw children being mistreated and thats always wrong. I feel sad for the parents who drop their kids off in the morning and have no idea how poorly they are treated all day.

First let me say Jacklyn the owner has been nothing but sweet and helpful towards me. I believe she really cares for the children and parents as well. Overall though my complaints lie with the other staff and the communication could of been alot better. I found it difficult to speak with Jacklyn on several occasions since she was out of the office. Then there was an incident where I picked up my daughter and noticed a fresh bruise on the side of her head so I asked the afternoon staff what happened. She said she didnt know, to ask her teacher. The next day I ask her teacher outside of Daycare what happened and she said she didnt know that she could of fell but she was a Dramaqueen? And that was when I realized I needed to get my LO out of this Daycare. Not only did I find the teachers incompitent but I could not even trust them regarding my daughters safety. The least I would of expected was an explanation and an Incident Report. Another thing Id like to mention is my daughters behavoir while she was here. Everyday for probably 3 weeks she would throw a temper tantrum when I came to pick her up from Daycare. I mean extreme, to the point where shes hypervinilating, screaming that would not stop until we got home. I understand 1 year olds have tantrums but its not a coenscience when it only happens at a specific time everyday. I am relieved now looking back on this experience that I got her out of here, her behavoir has improved dramatically and I never have to worry about her while Im at work anymore.

My son has been attending for eight months now and I couldnt be happier with the care hes receiving. Mrs. Jackie (the owner) is very sweet and she cares about the kids, parents, and staff. she is almost always there in the office and she knows the parents and children by name. My sons favorite teacher is Ms. Stephanie. she is such a great girl. Whenever I go to pick him up she always tells me about his day weather it was good or bad. They have been amazing with helping me potty train my 3 year old son. when he first arrived he refused to use the potty, but after a while of going there I havent heard one complaint about having to go to the potty. My son even told me that Ms. Stephanie taught him how to pee standing up like a real boy. lol! I had visited a number of daycare and it seems that runny noses, dirty faces, and mindless playing was the trend at them all. At totally kidz they engage the kids in educational activities and they have circle time where they learn things like in a preschool! My son comes home with a new arts and craft he made everyday and he gets so happy when I hang it up in the wall. They also have a menu on the wall that displays what thwy will be eating that week and its full of healthy delicious meals. for example: breakfast is oatmeal with peaches, milk, and a muffin. lunch is a tostada with a salad and brussel sprouts and milk snack is pretzels with apples and water. This place has been a life saver for us!

First off, the "FIVE STAR" review is written by the owner of Totally Kidz. Now before you go any further, do you really want your child going to a day care that is run by someone who cant spell the word "learning"? Honestly, they are glorified babysitters. None of the "teachers" there are certified in any way, turnover amongst the teachers is constant, because they are paid horribly, and most days when I left my son there he was watching TV when I left him, and watching TV when I picked him up. The book and record keeping is horrible, constantly being asked to fill out new forms because they lost them, checks lost, or deposited weeks after I submitted them. The "director" works there about 3 hours a day, and the "owner" I wouldnt know if I ran her over with my car. I only knew who she was because I found her name on a license. There are FAR better day cares in the Valley, dont settle for this one. My child deserved better, and I think yours does too. Take them someplace where they do more than color and watch TV.

My daughter and my niece both attended Totally Kidz from the age of 1 to 3. They both had no issues when we would drop them off, or when we would pick them up. They loved the teachers and came home every day having learned something new. They also have time outside, water play, and breakfast/snack/lunch/snack are all provided. It was also very affordable. I have always felt comfortable giving her suggestions and she is always open ears!

My daughter is almost 2 and a half. She has been attending since she was 1 year old. I love the staff. My daughter is always excited to see Sissy. She even asks for her at home. They have a new craft to bring home every day. Jackie is super responsive to feedback. We had mentioned getting a coded lock on the front door and within a few months they had a brand new secure coded lock on the front door!
