Took my 12 week old for two days and pulled her out immediately. I dropped in unannounced 3 times to see the care she was receiving and heres what was found: 1. The 1:4 ratio was not followed. The infant room is tiny and separated from the toddlers room only by a bookcase. There were 8 babies that I counted and nearly a dozen toddlers. Every time I dropped in there were only two caregivers for both the toddlers and the infants. Only one time when picking my infant up did I see 3 caregivers (which still does not abide by the 1:4 ratio law). 2. In one drop in, I found that theyd only changed her diaper once in 5 hours. 3. In one drop in, I found she was put down in her crib covered in two blankets (mind you shes 12 weeks old and cant even grasp toys yet, so I find this extremely dangerous). 4. In one drop in, I found her onsie DRENCHED in spit up. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed it just happened and expected to see her in the change of clothes I provide when I picked her up later. However this did not happen, she was left in the same wet outfit all day. 5. On the first day she was only fed 10 oz over a 7 hour period. On the second she was only fed 7 oz. over a 7 hour period. She came home and ate 13 oz in 3 hours before bed and woke up all night to eat, so Im not convinced they even fed her what they said. 6. At each pickup, they couldnt tell me anything about how much she ate, slept, how her temperament was for the day... when I asked why the caretaker said, "we have 17 kids, we havent really had time." Absolutely awful. I highly recommend against taking your infant children here.

We have loved our experience at Over the Rainbow. We stumbled across this great daycare because it was close to my work. My son started going there when he was 3 months old. The staff and the teachers are very attentive and and love my child almost as much as I do. When I had to relocate for work we moved my son to a new daycare. It was awful and he just asked to go back to his "old" daycare (Over the Rainbow) over and over again. They were so great to take him back without even a second thought. To take him and pick him up it probably adds 20 miles to our commute everyday, but let me tell you that it is well worth it. My son is happy and learning lots and loves his teachers and friends. The teachers and staff treat him like he is one of their own and I know everyday when we drop him off and pick him up that he is going to be well taken care of. My son started potty training early and the teachers were more than willing to keep up with what we started at home and he was potty trained when he was a little over 2. He is very well rounded and is on a really good routine and a lot of that I have to say the daycare contributed to. I am going to have another baby and he is going to be going to daycare even sooner than my first and while it is never easy to drop your little one off, it brings me great peace of mind in knowing that he will be going to this facility and be as well taken care of as my first was (and still is). I highly recommend this daycare to anyone.

My baby has been going to this daycare since she was 8 weeks old. She is now almost 8 months old. I felt confident from the very first day I dropped her off that it was a good place when one of the 2 year olds ran from his Mom to Miss Jane. The ladies who are there in the morning are always happy to see her and she gets very excited, smiles, and reaches out for them when I drop her off. I like how they have a code on the front door so that not just anyone can wander into the daycare. They monitor feedings and diaper changes very closely in the infant room in a binder. Any time I have asked a question about something they go right to the binder and are able to give me the exact times and amounts on everything. An incident occurred where my daughter was bitten by another infant that was teething and they had me sign an incident report and were so hurt by the ordeal....and she didnt even have a mark. They were more hurt by it than my baby or I even was. Every employee has always been very personable and I know that if I had ANY problems whatsoever that I could speak with someone there and it would be addressed immediately. I would highly recommend Over the Rainbow Learning Center to anyone in the Riverton area looking for child care.

Both my grandbabies go to Over the Rainbow. One of my grandbabies (2 yrs) is in my custody so I drop her off and pick her up everyday as well as my infant grandbaby that I pick up and drop off often. The caregivers at this facility are fantastic and my grandbabies have always been cared for perfectly. The child to caregiver ratio has always been spot on. My babies have always been fed, changed, nurtured and loved. The toddler and infant rooms are separated by a long cabinet that has locked storage on each side for diapers and such and on top is the changing station. Not a bookcase as described. The caregivers mark not only a book with every bottle and every diaper change but bottles are individually marked with time they are made to ensure their freshness. Our babies have never been left in spoiled diapers or clothing ever and if dirty have always been changed and soiled clothes bagged and placed in the diaper bag. Char and her staff have always loved and cared for my babies, the children at this facility are all happy and cared for, every minute every day.

My child has been going to Over the Rainbow for four years and we have been thrilled with the care that has been provided. The teachers are excellent and are very attentive to the needs of all the children in their care; my child has loved all of the teachers and has never had a negative experience with any of them. The classrooms and common areas are clean and the daily activities are fun and educational for my child. A monthly calendar providing lesson plans and menus for breakfast/lunch/snack is available. The staff and administration have always treated me and my family with respect and compassion. The tuition and attendance policies are fair and were presented to us clearly before we enrolled our child. There are no policies at Over the Rainbow that deviate wildly from those of other day care providers in the area. We have never had a negative experience with any of the teachers, staff or administration and have been very pleased with our decision to enroll our child at Over the Rainbow.

My daughter has been enrolled her since she was 12 weeks old and is approaching a four year anniversary. I can not say enough about the care she receives. They are more that a "baby sitter". When I watch her interaction with peers out side of the center it is obvious that they efforts they put into educating the children is not wasted. The staff is professional and fun and my daughter speaks fondly of them.
