This is the 25 years-in-the-making video collection of Video Experience (VX) under a new name, La Dolce Video (a cute play on words borrowed from Fellinis "La Dolce Vita"). Something like this is rarely seen outside of big cities, and Humboldt is so lucky to have one of our own. The store is great fun for browsing as they have a unique way of organizing--by featured directors, actors, specific genres such as French comedy or UK literature, etc. Their "Brit Telly" shelf is fantastic, and they also carry many great American TV series as well. I especially love renting the movies with "LDV Approved" stickers on the cover, they never disappoint! The 2 extra days you get to have the movies out (compared to what other stores usually allow) is great for Eurekans like me who only go up to Arcata once a week or so, and they also offer "Rent 12 get 1 Free" punch cards, which is quite nice. I honestly cant get enough of this store and find myself making excuses to go to Arcata and rent more movies as soon as I finish the ones I have out. Thank you (times a million!) to the new owners for keeping this store alive for us Humboldt lovers of movies, cinema, and great television! Especially on those rainy Humboldt days!

Such a huge selection of movie its ridiculous. Biggest collection of movies from every genre and country. Pretty sure if youre looking for a movie. They would have it.

You can find pretty much everything here, including a huge range of TV shows. My favorite section is their sci-fi.
