I recently happened to engage the services of Silver Star Autobody at 252 Old County Road, Belmont. I am highly impressed by their quality work and professionalism. So, thought would share my feedback and experience with the group for general benfit, in case, any of you ever need to visit an autobody shop. Based on the feedback from my colleagues, I had taken estimates from about 5 shops around San Mateo and Belmont. Silver Star has beaten every ones estimates by huge margin. At the time of estimate, the owner of the shop, Nelson Barberena, has even offered to beat any other competing estimate. He was very understanding of the customers requirements, constraints and helped in his entire capacity to keep the overall cost of the job very low without compromising on the quality of job. Like Silver Star mentions on its website, they are a very good alternative to faceless autobody shops treating customers like a meal ticket. I highly recommend Nelson Barberenas Silver Star Autobody. Had worked with them over 11 times on 3 different vehicles (my ex is a terrible driver). After many years, one of the fender that was painted at Silver started to peel. I didnt have the work receipt and theyre system lost old works. Not a problem...they repainted it under warranty. I also asked them to detail the car...wow, what a job. Every stain in my car was removed. Its a father/son business and I thoroughly enjoy doing business with them. They tend to be a bit over scheduled so expect turnaround to take a bit longer than whats quoted. Other than that, they always do a great job and backup their work.

I took my car to about 10 different body shops and after that found Silver Star. They not only beat all the quotes I had fair and square but also agreed to repair the existing hood of my car since I did not want to go with a newer one which are usually non-OEM and of much inferior grade metal. They were very courteous and professional throughout and I will recommend Silver Star over any other body shop in the Peninsula.

I have been taking my vehicles to this auto body shop for the past few years and all I can say is they are amazing!! Accidents happen and the process can be painful. However, this auto body shop knows what they are doing and they are very flexible and will work with you to make sure you are completely satisfied. I would strongly recommend!!!

Drove around getting estimates. Got a great estimate and an excellent result. Camilo and Nelson are very friendly and easy to work with. If you need body work go to Silver Star Auto Body, you wont find any better.
