I would not recommend this dealership unless you are fully prepared and alert to deceptive sales strategies. I got a car I wanted, at a price I was has happy with, but I had done my homework and knew most of what was going on. It started with an attempt at bait and switch. The Ford Focus was listed on CarGurus for $4999. A little too much based on m research, even with good mileage, and the online picture showed a visible dent. Surprise!When I get there the sticker price is $7999. So If I hadnt done my homework, I would have been bargaining from a price $3000 higher! The car was already running.to mask a shimmy, he wanted to drive on the highway because the brakes squeal. Promised to fill up the nearly empty gas tank. Now he gives me the CarFax--"It says there was an accident, but most people dont think thats important.--Look, its got brand new tires!" (Its called a redirect) I go around the car--yes, there it is, a definite dent. "Look at the hood, its a bit out of alignment--oh the front screen come right out, and the strut that connects the headlight assembly to the frame is completely broken." I make to leave, he tries to get me to stay by suggesting that another buyer is going to snatch the car away"--I say that another buyer is going to see the same damage I see. Fact is, I really like the car, but not at that price. He says make an offer, I lowball it. He counters, I counter again, within my predetermined range, with the condition that the brakes be checked. We start the paperwork, fine and dandy, he keeps disappearing, then comes back with, "The boss says they wont check the brakes". So he takes $300 off the price and its now only $100 higher than my lowball offer." I also pay $75 for the right to return the car in 2 days, because Im definitely having my mechanic check it out. Oh, and they wont buy me any gas, either. . .Bottom line--the car is OK, needs some work, I would have returned it at the higher offer. Im fine because I knew what I was looking for and what the fair prices were. But definitely beware of this dealership! They made a sale, but they didnt gain a customer.

If you need a car or truck, ask for KEVIN… He is NOTHING like your average dealership salesman. My understanding is Kevin has worked for Town Ford for several years, and I can clearly see why. I should start by saying that I know that I am a difficult customer, and am likely more savvy than your average car buyer regarding pricing, etc (I am in the auto industry). Kevin was able to put up with all of my crap while maintaining a cool calm and collected attitude the entire time, which resulted in him selling me a brand spanking new fully loaded truck. Kevin gets a major win for a couple reasons: his communication with me was very fast and effective, and he communicated through my preferred medium which is email. Most importantly, Kevin did not restrict my purchasing choices to what he had on the lot. Kevin was willing to look through the entire Ford system and find the exact truck with the exact options that I was looking for. It did not matter that his dealership did not have it on their floor, as Kevin was interested in finding a truck that actually met my needs. I would also like to point out that the normal car dealership games did not exist. He did not even try to pull any tricks on me, and there was no mention of the old “what can I do to put you in this car today” line. Personally, if I hear a car dealer say something like that to me, it is indicative that I am at a place where I will not be doing business. Long story short is if you’re looking for a good and honest ford dealer, hit up Kevin at Town Ford. You won’t be led down the wrong path.

Totally unacceptable behavior from the Parts Dept. I called looking for a side view mirror (broken the night before while my car was parked on the side of the road). The first parts rep I talked to quoted me $140.00. I balked at the price and told him I wanted to look around for a generic first. After several calls, I realized the only place to purchase an exact fitting mirror was the dealer. I reluctantly called back an hour later. This time, I talked to "David" in Parts. He quoted the same mirror to me for $225.00. I explained to him that I had called an hour earlier and been given a price of $140.00. He said that was the "list" price for auto body shops. Despite repeated attempts, David would not budge from the $225.00 price. I told him no thanks and started calling around again. My next call was to South City Ford--sure enough, the Parts Dept. quoted me the original $140.00 price. I happily purchased the mirror at South City Ford. The behavior at the Towne Ford Parts Dept. is unacceptable and I will never shop there again.

We buy all our Fords from Towne. Terry Clark, the Service Manager has a reputable team of professionals. While I doubt that I get the very best price, the service quality is impeccable and Im willing to pay the difference in order to get in, out, and on my way. We drive in, with or without an appointment, and they take care of us. We buy our Ford trucks & vans for our construction business, and our Ford Mustangs from Towne. Everyone there is knowledgeable and the work is always quality. Its a rare thing when a sales or service manager will take a few minutes out of his or her day to see whats going on with your car, arrange a ride home for you, and take care of every detail. They dont try to upsell you or pull any shenanigans once your vehicle is on the lift. They just let you know what the problem is, how much it is to fix, and then generally throw in a few extras like an oil change (yes, I realize these are cheap and easy to do) just to make your life easier. Weve been going there for years and will continue to do so.

I chose this dealership expecting some honesty, if not fast and efficient service. But I should have known that as a young woman I would be the perfect target for outrageously expensive and unnecessary work. The diagnostic test for a dashboard light was $219, which I only found out when signing the paperwork . (I later went to an auto repair shop where they ran the test for free and provided me with the same codes.) I had a cylinder misfire, thus the salesman quoted $900 to replace all the wiring, spark plugs, etc and an additional service. When I asked to just replace the faulty one (cost of $25), he flat out refused although admitted the additional service was not essential. Only when my father called did he accept to change just the one. The "3-4 days" he said he would have the parts in turned into 7 and answering my voice mails was clearly not a priority. I m disgusted that this dealership thinks it can lie and take advantage of its customers. If I had the time I would look into how unlawful their customer service is.
