When I moved to Boulder Creek, my neighbors recommended I take my car to Mountain Mechanic for their great service. Chris was nice enough when I arrived, but he took a personal phone call while I was telling him what was wrong with my car and I didnt have time to wait around for his long conversation to end, so I asked him to call me with an estimate. I never got a call until it was time to pick up my car, and he had done $500 worth of service that I hadnt asked for. I was horrified that he would take advantage of a new customer and insulted, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt since it may have needed to be done. I went back for oil changes every once in a while, but stopped when I came to schedule one and he couldnt stop talking to one of his buddies for a minute to help a customer.

I cant say enough good things about Chris and Mountain Mechanics. The work is excellent and done promptly. The prices are fair. And above all, the owner, Chris, is honest and stands behind his shops work. He is also an active member of the community. After 15 years and many cars Im always happy to recommend Mountain Mechanics to my friends.

mountain mechanics has been one of the best resources i have ever come across. we own everything from toyotas and volvos to chevys and all our mechanical problems are resolved when we drive away. a big plus is that they deal well with women. chriss shop is an institution here in the SLV--one you can trust.

Been using Chris for a number of years and have always been very satisfied. Reasonable prices, honest & never does more work than just what you need. Many times we schedule & pay with a credit card over the phone, so very convenient to drop off & pick up after hours.
