Wed had a couple of plumbers try to clear the really bad blockage in our master bathtub. It wouldnt drain at all - so gross! Our plumber-friend tried his snake with no luck. So he told us he needed to get under the house, cut the pipe and replace the whole darn thing. We decided to get a second opinion. So we called Ideal Plumbing because they were recommended by our insurance company (depending on the problem, it could be covered by our policy). Bob (i think thats his name) tried with the snake, but couldnt clear it and said we needed to CUT A HOLE IN THE FLOOR so that he could get more leverage and access to the pipe in question. ARG! We said wed think about it and make an appointment with them once the hole was cut. But a few days later, Kyle came to the door and explained that he had a bet going with his supervisor (Bob, who told us to cut a hole in the floor), that he could get the blockage just with his snake, without cutting a hole in the floor. I let him in and in less than 15 minutes, THE PIPE WAS CLEAR!!! Kyle won his bet and I got a working bathtub for just the $55 deductible from our insurance policy!!!! He was fast, courteous and knew what he was doing. Thanks, Kyle! I definitely recommend him. We had a terrible blockage in our master bathtub. We had our plumber-friend try his snake, but he told us we probably had to replace the whole pipe (go under the house, cut up the pipe, install new pipe)! We were bummed, but called our home insurance company (we got 1yr insurance after purchase of our home) and they sent us Ideal Plumbing. The first time they came, Bob (I think his name was Bob) told us that we needed to cut a whole in the floor so he could get better access to where the blockage was :( (he said he could cut it, but it would cost $200). Absolute worst experience I have had with any company so far. They were chosen by my home warranty company, which usually has great taste. They came out Feb 4, decided I need a new water heater. Fine. Then two weeks later they STILL had not communicated with me or the warranty company! I call multiple times with no call back. Fast forward 6 weeks, I finally have a date to install the heater, they dont show up! Two days and the supervisor from the warranty company intervenes AGAIN and they say they had no record of the appointment, so can they come next week. That was yesterday. DIDNT SHOW UP!!!!! AGAIN!!!!!! And no one will answer any of the phone lines, wont return my calls..... absolutely unprofessional. Would not recommend this company to ANYONE FOR ANY REASON EVER. If I could give negative stars I would.

The only reason I used Ideal Plumbing a few years ago -- twice-- is because my Old Republic warranties required it. Ideal is also the #1 reason I cancelled ALL of those Old Republic contracts! They dont return phone calls. Ideal replaced a water heater in a rental in 2011. It failed to start up a few days ago. They never returned my phone call! Stick with contractors listed on Angies List -- ones with good reviews. Check out the reviews for this business on YELP. Same phone #, same name, same zip.

My mom called right before Christmas Week and they made her wait 2 weeks to fix it!!!! She had no hot water for the whole holiday and she is 70 years old. They lied to her too. She even had to clean up after them too and charged her more than the warranty coverage which was $1,000 (no chump change for a water heater). They would get negative stars if possible. Dont go there!!! Staff are rude and unprofessional.

We had another plumber come out for a clog about 2 feet past our kitchen drain. He wanted to break up our slab. Ideal Plumbing came out and the tech (John) was able to snake it quickly, and with out me having to buy a new kitchen. Will not hesitate to contact them again for future needs. Thank you John!
