I called roto-rooter is SELAH, WA at 4:50pm on 4/30/2013 because my water heater stopped working on 4/26/2013 and I was having trouble getting the lower element off. I spoke with a no-named female receptionist who informed me of an outrageous after-hours quote. I told the receptionist that I could buy a brand new water heater for less than that price and the receptionist said and I quote " Um no, actually. You cant. Because. They cost $800 or more." (think valley girl with excessive attitude) I advised the receptionist that I would call someone else who was nicer, and ended the phone call. I then called my go-to people at LOWES and found a BRAND NEW WATER HEATER for only $228.00 (40 gal short body similar to my current water heater) which is 56 dollars less than the after hours quote given during business hours. Needless to say, I will NOT recommend roto-rooter in SELAH,WA to my friends, family, and co-workers. I would recommend that the no-named receptionist for roto-rooter in SELAH, WA learn to be more personable and empathetic with potential clientele, regardless of what time of the day they call. Because, had she not given me such a horrendous experience just from a phone call, I more than likely would have scheduled a so-called expert to come out to my house. And yes, we have to wait another day for hot water, because it was too dark and cold to swap-out tonight. BUT! I accepted the receptionists challenge and found a BRAND NEW WATER HEATER for $572 dollars less than what I was quoted. I and my Husband, who is a Minister, would like to thank the no-named receptionist, because she saved my family a nice chunk of money that otherwise would have been pocketed by her employer, ROTO-ROOTER

We called for a quote and Roto-Rooter sent over a plumber who was polite and well informed it seemed. We kept telling him the water company told us we probably had a leak so after telling him that several times he hesitantly, finally agreed to look under the house. The way to under our house was blocked and I told him I could clear the door in five min but he was so determined to not climb under the house and do his job that he just dismissed it. So we looked at the sink I wanted replaced and he got the spray hose next to the sink jammed. He saw that he jammed it and didnt fix it so now I cant use it. He brought me in a book of new sinks to look over, I picked one and he left and said I would get a call probably on Monday with my estimate So when Thursday finally came around and I had gotten no call back I called in. The employee who answered the phone told me the plumber who had come to my house was out on another job at the moment and would call me back in probably fifteen twenty min and if he didnt she would. So now it is the following Tuesday and I have not heard back from either the employs or the company. So this is what Roto-Rooter has done for me.... Waste my time, jammed the spray part of my sink, and make me frustrated enough that I am writing this review. I will not recommend this company to any one and if you are thinking of calling them you should reconsider

I just had a very positive experience with this company. They fixed the water leaks in our bathroom by replacing the old style valves and copper pipes. They reached a point in the job where the original estimate did not cover additional necessary work but they did not charges us any extra even though there was a significant amount of extra labor needed. Needless to say I was very happy about this. I was especially please with Kevin who is a very professional technician who works efficiently and has a great attitude. Tim, whos in charge of the operation, is outstanding and really stands behind his work and his employees. I also dealt with Janine in the dispatch office who is absolutely wonderful to work with and provided excellent customer service! I highly recommend this company for anyone who needs expert plumbing services!

The technician, Jacob Idl (#66) really worked above and beyond to resolve the difficulty and to clean out our sewer system. He was very knowledgeable of what he was doing, and it felt like resolving the problem was a personal challenge. He was skilled and confident in his ability to do the job right and to finish the job before he left our house! I would highly recommend Jacob and RotoRooter to people in CleElum who are in need of sewer work. We have used RotoRooter in the past and have always found this company to be responsive and the technicians highly trained and skilled to resolve the problem quickly to the the satisfaction of all!!!

I was very impressed with our Roto-Rooter service that we had today (1/23/12). My wife and I recently bought a home and when we discovered the shower and toilet backing up we thought we just had a clog. We were wrong. We called Roto-rooter who promptly sent out Thomas to our house and he was fast, knowledgeable, and courteous as he inspected our home and discovered one of the pipes had not been hooked up properly. He gave us a great quote and within an hour our pipe was fixed! We are so thankful for Thomas and Roto-Rooter and if we are ever need of plumbing services again, we know who to call.

My husband and I decided to do a kitchen sink replacement by ourselves.. needless to say, things werent quite perfect. So we called Roto-Rooter and they sent Matt out to our house to take a look. We couldnt get two of the water lines to stop leaking, but Matt was awesome! He was very knowledgeable, worked fast, and was kind enough to explain the different parts and what he was doing (and why it wasnt working) while fixing it. I highly recommend him to fix any plumbing problem, and will definitely be requesting him the next time we decide to do a project ourselves!! I cant thank him enough!!!

Thomas Tharet came to our home on an emergency for us. I called Sunday evening. 8:00 am Monday I got a call. The drain was working then so I cancelled. It later stopped up and at 11:30 I called back. She said someone would be here by 2:00. Thomas Tharet showed up before 2:00 It took him 1/2 hour to fix the problem. He was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. He knew where to look and answered my questions while he worked. I recommend Mr. Tharet and Roto-Rooter. I hope I never see them again, but I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

Weve had Chris from Yakimas Roto-Rooter handle virtually all of our plumbing issues over the past ten years or so. He and the company are GREAT! From the minor (drippy faucets) to the major (alas, replacing a collapsed sewer line under our driveway), the plumber team from Roto-Rooter is courteous, professional, and prompt. We ALWAYS call them when our old house needs plumbing help and recommend them without hesitation.

Fast service. Experienced plumber that knew what he was going. Great work too. Was kept informed of everything that was being done. I highly recommend these guys. Will call them again if I need help or assistance with plumbing repairs. Work was done under time and below cost. Great experience actually.
