We just moved here from Texas. We have three cars total. We took the first two cars to different car dealers and had not good experience. The third car I decided to check it on the Yelp. Fitzgeralds is showing on the top of the list. I did smog check and basic inspection (the other two car dealers told us we dont need smog check--wrong information! No matter how new is your cars, you need to do smog check when you move from other state in order to pass the car registration. And you need to do the car registration within 20 days after arriving California). Pat told me the right information and told me I can do the registration in AAA if I am the member. So I can quickly finish the registration in AAA. They found some problems from inspection. Pat explained to me clearly and completely (I am very appreciate for his effort because I dont feel they like talk to woman patiently when I lived in Texas). When they fixed the radiator, they found the condenser stuck with the radiator because of too rusty inside the car. Pat explained to me again and even took me to see the inside of car. Although its a rare situation, they order the parts and fixed quickly. I am happy I finally found one place I can trust to maintain and repair our cars in California. Thank you very much, Fitzgeralds! You have a new customer here.

Ive had some very bitter experiences with automotive repair in the past, so I was careful to investigate Fitzgeralds before I called them. Pat, the service manager, is not only friendly, hes professional in every way. There is a rule in life you simply cant get around: You get what you pay for. Even if you decide to go with a less expensive place, it will cost you just as much or more than if you paid the right price in the first place. Im more than happy with the service I received at Fitzgeralds. They did a thorough check of my car and found a number if issues that I was unaware of, issues that left unattended, would cost me far more down the road. With Pats help we were able to prioritize the needed repairs with an eye to cost, safety, and reliability. Over the coming months I will have a car that I know I can rely on. It wont be cheap. Money is tight. But Ill know the work done on my car was done right.

Honest, reliable, reasonable costs, works within your budget and needs, friendly and personable. Ive been taking my cars to Fitzgeralds for 7 years now and have always received great service. It took awhile to find an honest, reliable mechanic in Costa Mesa who would tell me when I needed minimal work done rather than major service and prioritized needs to fit my budget. Dan, the owner, is a great guy who is straight with you, very easy to communicate with, and you can tell that he has you and your cars best interests in mind in order to establish a meaningful business-client relationship. When Ive dropped off my car in the morning for work to be done, they even gave me a ride home. The mechanics Ive spoken with are well-trained, friendly, and really know their trade. Fitzgeralds is clean, organized, and they treat the interior of my car with care, too. Great auto mechanic shop!

I have been using Fitzgeralds for over 20 years on at least 4 different vehicles and have never had a complaint or problem with their work. They stand behind what they do 100%. They are always busy which tells me they are popular, so I know when I do need work, I am not going to a "drive-through" to get it done. They will give you a ride home and come pick you up when the work is complete. I honestly do not know if their prices are competitive, high, or low since I have not had the desire to go anywhere else. In this day and age, integrity and professionalism is what I am paying for. Plus, it sure does not hurt to see an overly clean and at the same time very busy place. I have also sent at least 6 friends there for work and not one has ever complained about the service.

ill never take my car anywhere else! i first found these guys when my car overheated last summer. they were willing to stay a bit late on a saturday afternoon to receive the tow. fitz takes care of the entire familys vehicles and even gave us a quote for parts when my 13 year old honda died last year. now they take care of my new baby. even with a dealer warranty and free oil changes, i choose to go here. sure, you may save a few dollars getting service elsewhere, but you wont get the reliable and thorough service you get here! mechanics you can trust!

Single mom with really no complaints about previous mechanics. However Fitzgeralds has the most amazing staff! They have the kind of hearts you want in a physician. I think they treat cars the way your dad did, ensuring your safety! Im in love with everyone there, Dan, Pat, Joe, and the other guys that i didnt get names of. I feel so safe in their hands. I will NEVER go anywhere else. You want a well running car that you feel completely safe driving take it to the Fitzgerald family. <3

I wont take my car anywhere else. They charged me NOTHING to clean out a clogged windshield washer line that the dealership wanted $75 to diagnose (um, I could see the ants decided my washer fluid was delicious) and another $100 to blow some compressed air through! Besides that theyve taken care of my AC, brakes, struts, shocks etc. all fast, reliable and at cost 50% lower than almost any other quote Ive gotten. Ive never had the same problem with my car twice after they have fixed it!

I am new to Costa Mesa and in need of some auto care. I found Fitzgeralds online and they had such good reviews that I selected them to take care of my car, and it was an excellent choice! They were very nice, professional, and treated me as if I was their favorite customer :) They discussed my concerns about my car without "talking down" to me, as have so many other auto care garages do to women. I would definitely recommend them and they are now our auto care center of choice.

5 Star professional honest service and advice, at a very reasonable price. I took my Jeep Cherokee to Fitgeralds for a service and safety check. The entire experience was excellent from the moment I dropped the car off till I picked the car up. They gave me honest advice on any potential issues, a severity rating, and a price which enabled me to make informed decisions on work to be completed (not the money grabbing antics of some mechanics you encounter). I was out of town on a business trip and these guys really did me right. Most auto repair shops you visit, you just know you are going to get ripped off. Particularly if you are out of town. Not these guys. They told me what was wrong and when I gave them the go ahead they fixed it right. Right away, and at a great price. I cannot thank them enough. For quality auto repair, you really can count on them.
