So far, Ive had a 5 star experience with this location. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and saved me from a lot of stress and headache! Most reviews seem to complain about the storage rate increases that happen after 6 months of storage. I cant speak to that as Im only storing my possessions here for a shorter duration, so bear that in mind. As this was my first time ever using a storage center, I was pretty paranoid/wary about all types of concerns: safety, ease of retrieval, mold, security, etc. Its been about 1.5 weeks thus far, and so far, its been an excellent experience. When I first found Extra Space Storage, I saw that their rates were a bit better for the space I was looking for than their competitors. I reserved a spot, and of course, got a phone call immediately to confirm the booking. They also strongly suggested that I come in to sign the paperwork and check the storage unit before the day of move-in, so I could make sure that the space accommodated my needs. Im really glad that they suggested that, because what I found was that I needed an even smaller space. My consultant, Luvi, also listened and heard what I was really saying -- I needed an even smaller space, but I also wanted to pay less and save some $. The smaller space that they had available wasnt offering the same promotion rate that I saw online... until Luvi asked me if Id be interested in signing a contract on that day if she was able to offer me that promotion. This is something I dont know if Id have known about (or it would have taken more time to figure out anyway) if I waited until the day of move-in. So, that got approved by her manager and I was a happy camper. Luvi was very thorough in explaining how to get to my storage space and answered any other questions that I had. I moved in without any issues and the space was a perfect fit. --------------- PT2 of 5-star experience: I also went back a second time to drop off additional items, but this time, I was in a bit of a rush as it was a Friday night. Saturday morning, I get a phone call from Chris (who was also present during my contract signing) and he informs that I hadnt put on my lock correctly. I didnt know what he meant by that, and he strongly urged me to come in ASAP to fix it. Kind of annoyed as I was all the way in SF, I debated whether to wait until Sunday night to go and fix it. So, I begrudgingly went... and EXTREMELY glad that I did. I had put on the lock *completely* wrong; so wrong that that someone could have easily accessed my storage space. I didnt realize that they actually checked the storage spaces to ensure that the locks were properly set, and that the turnaround time was less than 24 hours. On my way out, I was so thankful I was just about to call Chris to thank him until I saw him drive by and was able to do it in-person. Luvi and Chris are the two types of people you want to trust your storage needs with, and Im so glad my experience w/ them has been so positive. Highly recommend this facility and location!

Great customer service. The staff are all friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful from the inquiry call to the center, to the follow up call from George, to the showcasing of the storage unit, a walk-through of using gate codes, freight elevator, exit route, and completion of the contract with Adrian. They answered all of my questions at the time, and with the use of docusign, the whole process was a breeze! Adrian is well verse in the process and pretty patient. We completed the contract and got out of there in no time. As for the place, it is well kept; VERY clean and WELL lit--LOVE that the lights are motion-sensor -- very practical. The freight elevator is a HUGE PLUS for units on the second floor; besides it being very roomy, clean, functional, and again, practical, the most-needed cart was also made available as promised. Im very pleased to have been in touch with Extra Space Storage because at the end of the day, it all boils down to me getting to do what I needed to have done that weekend with a great sense of accomplishment. So Thanks, ESS! Thanks, Adrian & George. Youre all a yes, yes, yes! in my book. ;) Truly appreciate all the help. Now just hoping the price doesnt really fluctuate as the other reviews have mentioned.

Ive been a customer of Extra Space Storage (formerly named AAAAA rent-a-space) for almost two years, and I am mostly satisfied with their service. First of all, the price is fair. I have done an extensive survey in the Bay Area to find the best deal, and Extra Space Storage is by far the most reasonable one. Secondly, the location is convenient if you reside or are based in the Bay Area. If you drive a car, you can locate this storage shortly after you get off from the highway 1. For those who dont drive a car, the Colma Bart station is located near by and it takes only about 5 minutes walk to get to the storage. The actual storage area appears fairly clean, and the security system with passwords and monitor cameras seems pretty safe. Also, from my experience, the staff members are friendly and helpful -you just got to ask for help when you need one. The only complain I have, however, may be the access hours. It would be absolutely nice if the customers can access their units anytime in a day, 24 hours a day. Or, if not, until later in the evening, such as 9 or 10 pm. That is my request, but, over all, its a nice storage.

I was very pleased with the assistance and service I received at the Extra Space Storage on Junipero Serra Blvd. in Daly City! I was helped by the assistant manager, Adrian, who could not have been more helpful and polite. Not only did he continue showing me unit after unit until we found one that was both the right size and the easiest access for my moving in process, he was very friendly and--for lack of a better word--real. He was very professional, but, in addition, he kept telling little jokes and having a very genuine and casual conversation which really helped me feel comfortable when discussing my budget limitations and what not. Furthermore, I never once got the feeling like he was trying to scam me or rip me off (which, as a college student and someone who very obviously doesnt know a whole lot about storage units, is often the case). He gave me a very good deal and didnt throw in a million add on fees with the unit! I feel very satisfied and confident that this will be the place where I temporarily store my belongings. I highly recommend this business, and send out a special thanks to Adrian for his wonderful service!

I love this place! Not only is the storage facility clean, convenient, and reasonably priced, they also have the friendliest and most HELPFUL staff I have ever come in contact with! I previously was impressed by Extra Space storage (for the reasons listed above) when I used their facility for the beverage company I worked for. So when I switched companies and knew I would again need a storage unit, I of course recommended Extra Space! I hadnt been to the facility in MONTHS but when I went in to re-sign up they remembered me, which was cool. Also, every time I get a new shipment of product (which is usually 4-8 PALLETS) George and Adrian always offer to lend a hand (which I take them up on more often than not). I have even received shipments that we had to HAND unload case by case (there are 119 cases per pallet) and they VOLUNTARILY help me!!! I wish I could give them 10 stars!!!!!!!! I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place for all your storage needs! :)
