This is the best place to get a storage unit in San Diego! I rented a unit here a few yaers ago and had such a great experience that when I needed a storage unit again I came all the way from Rancho Bernardo to store my stuff here. Darlene who works there was very friendly and accommodating. She helped me save money by selling me a used lock when I didnt have one, and when I was paying for a climate controlled unit(which I need to store my guitars that will get damaged in the heat) she told me that there was a unit available that was cheaper in part of the building that wasnt climate controlled, but because its such a nice building, that part of the building doesnt get hot. .The building itself is new and clean. It doesnt get hot like many storage buildings because it is made from steel and concrete instead of wood. Its also climate controlled. They made It easy to leave when I wanted to and gave me some money back when I left before the last month was over that I already paid for. I cant think of how my experience could have been better. You wont find another place this affordable that is also this nice with great staff.

I have used a lot of storage facilities across the country, but never had I had one where the staff treat you with such professionalism and courtesy. The staff, in particular Darlene always has a welcome smile and Maira is always ready to help. Darlene has been training quite a few new employees, and each have learned from the best on how to retain and keep customers. They know how to help each customer in knowing that their property is safe, clean and secure. The facilities is clean and well maintained and always has a hot pot of coffee and cold water, and great A/C in the office to welcome the weary. I would highly recommend this facility in particular to anyone who is looking to place their possessions in a space where they would know it is an extension of their own home. Darlene is a great treasure in how she works with people, and knows how to make everyone know that there is always a reason to smile and someone always there to welcome its customers, that she treats like part of the A1 Self Storage family.

I have stored my household stuff at the Hotel Circle San Diego Br for over 3 yrs now and, I am confident to say that the Customer Service I get from them is exceptionally satisfying. Although I have inter-acted with both, Ms Darlene and Ms Alexis, I can say that both of them are exceptionally good and very knowledgeable but, I have more inter-action with Ms Darlene. She is one of the best "show window" of your company - from answering the phone to dealing in person. Her phone etiquette is very professional and inviting. There was not one question that she wasnt able to answer right away. She displayed a very caring attitude when I was having a problem about consolidating the 2 units Ive been renting. She was able to figure out very quickly the solution to my problem. Darlene, you are a problem solver and I thank you very much for that. Thank you Ms Darlene and Ms Alexis. You, both, are wonderful people to do business with.

This was my second time renting a storage space at A1 Hotel Circle. The experience was great and I highly recommend it. The staff was great, the facility was very clean,safe ,secure & Darlene was great to my mother and I. If I ever need storage again I will definately go back to A1 Hotel Circle. I live in NJ and had to rent a storage space for my daughter, Karen, who was forced to leave CA because of a medical problem. Everytime I called to pay the monthly rent , Darlene was very nice and helpful. It was a pleasure to have someone like her give such excellent customer service. Alright, first I would like to say that Darlene is the best, most helpful, and most dedicated person Ive ever encountered. My friend Chris and I were desperately looking for a A-1 storage place at 5:50pm on a Wednesday, when we finally called Darlene at the hotel circle location. My friend Chris called Darlene and asked her when she was about to close shop and she answered that she was just about to close the door and proceed with her end-of-day operations. Chris explained her our situation , and without having to provide too much details, she understood that we absolutely had to sign the papers the same night and get a unit before the next day. The result: not only she stayed in later to assist us, but we later found out that her family was waiting for her at the airport....! Where do I start? Well first of all let me say that I am currently on deployment and due to a living situation back in San Diego, I had to move all my belongings into storage including a motorcycle. From the get-go Darlene was there to answer all my questions from "which size should I use" to military discounts to organizing a time for my sister to drop my belongings off. Not only that, when I had accidentally ordered a "pizza shaped" unit, they changed it to a regular one with no fuss at all because they wanted my stuff to fit better. My sister, who moved everything, said that Darlene and the rest were absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. You guys took so much stress out of a very stressful situation for me since my deployment made it difficult to organize all the details. Thank you thank you!!

Found this place online called the office. Talked to rana about finding the right size storage for me she was really. Helpful told me what she had available came to the office. Rana showed me the different size srorages she had for rent found the right one rented it overall I was really happy with the attention she gave me and answer all my questions and the building is clean easy to get around. And it is under surveillance 24 hours and even got renters insurance which makes me feel more confident would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends and to all people who are looking for place to stored. Your things thanks A-1 self storage from the owners to management to employees you guys make a great team.

A-1 Self Storage in SD is a top notch facility! Our son goes to SDSU and needed to store his belongings over the summer. They had boxes to purchase which made things convenient for him...1 stop shopping! They also have online bill paying which made it convenient for Mom & Dad! When we brought him back to school we went with him to get his items and found the facility to he squeaky clean, climate controlled and very safe. The staff was very friendly and professional. In fact, when I went to turn in the lock & keys they advised those were for us to keep and reuse next time so we wouldnt be recharged for those items again. I would recommend A-1 to anyone needing this service. They have perfected it!
