I am a female and what concerns me is that nothing is being done about the groping creep that hangs outside 24 hour fitness in his Toyota SUV and he happens to work security for 24 hour fitness. He has had many complaints from different females including myself my own personal experience. Ive had a couple if creepy encounters with him I have caught him taking pics of me as work out , when Im by my car , he once tried rubbing against and last but not least he and group of other females observe him with his pants down pleasuring himself outside the gym. I have filed many complaints and had contacted Downey Police but the police department refuses to do anything about this monster. In the many times I have reached out to The police I was responded by one the sergeants that not call them any more unless a crime is committed so according to downey you have to raped till action is taken. I hope something is done or some point of justice before something horrible happens to someone. Here is a description of the vehicle and license plate number it is a Toyota 4 runner dark grey faded paint and the plate number is 4bnz835

Pros: Fairly new gym, so the equipment is mostly in good condition Spacious in comparison to other gyms Great assortment of equipment Offers free Wifi Showers have private stalls Cons: Only two (often clogged) toilets for whole gym No rules regarding returning free weights means theyre all over the place Staff typically hanging out in corner, feels almost non-existent Lockers/showers/sauna often a mess, littered with used towels Despite the local security presence, parking lot is shady All in all, its a good gym. Just too many slobs and not enough vigilance on the staffs part to keep them in check. Id also recommend girls park as close to gym as possible and everyone not leave anything of value in your cars.

Brand new gym that is lacking. Great building and setup but they missed the mark. Mens locker room, only 2 toilet stalls!?!? Really? During rush hour there is a line and twice one has been out of toilet paper. For a gym this size that was poor design! Equipment wise they are missing a decline chest machine and only have 2 cable machines (Lakewood for instance has 4 cable machines) so they are in high demand. They have some new/innovative cardio equipment but dont expect fans in your tredmill or things like that. So far it isnt that crowded but its not empty either and you wait for key eqipment. At a 39.99 price point per month i dont consider this a deal.

I wont lie, I was very excited when they were opening this gym next to our home. If youre upgrading this gym isnt worth it! It cant compare to Lakewood one bit. The kids club isnt available all day. I arrived at 12:45 and Im told they are closing because they dont have enough demand for it. Isnt this a SUPER Sport? This is the reason why I got it! Because I can bring my child at anytime between 8am-9pm! Its not worth paying extra for it. Might as well stay at Compton and pay less. They have the same closing times. They just added the SUPER on the outside so you can pay more but its the same thing as a Sport. There is no difference what so ever.

I wish I could give the gym a better rating. The facility is nice, mostly because its new. Everything is clean and in good shape, but its nothing special. Signing up for the gym was nightmarish because the person who enrolled me failed at doing so and it took a couple of weeks to sort all of that out. The worst part of this whole thing is that the pool heater has been broken for over two weeks--and the gym opened in early January. Its a nice salt water pool, but its taken them a week to figure out what as wrong with the pool. And now its taken them another to fix it. What a major disappointment.

The only good thing about this gym compared to a 24 Hour Sport, is that its a lot bigger and is more focused on weights. The pool and jacuzzi are clean. The sauna and steam room does have a dirty floor, but why wouldnt it be dirty? (Of course the floor will be dirty) They dont have any long in height lockers. I like that they offer towels, but not that the only place to get them are at the front desk. Overalls I believe that going to a 24 Hour Super Sport is not worth it, because you can get the same things and save about $10/month with a 24 Hour Sport.

I cant possibly give this place a bad review because it is still so new. Probably only topped by the Lakewood location which is also a Super Sport. I appreciate the size of this gym and also the wide spectrum of equipment they have. They have all the basic weights, free weights, cardio equipment, and medicine balls. On top of that, they have a full size basketball court, a kickboxing bag, TRX training, tire flipping and more. The only downside is that it can get pretty busy in the weights section. There is always free cardio equipment though.

This is a brand new facility. The swimming pool is rarely used, except around noon time. There have been many times when Ive had the entire pool to myself. The first couple of weeks were like being in heaven, swimming in pristine, unadulterated water. The last couple of times Ive started to notice the water getting a bit unclear and I can smell perfumes and body lotions. Fortunately, the scents are quite pleasant, though they can be over bearing. Everything is in good working condition.

There is a steam room, hot tub, sauna, and pool, towel service. Staff isnt very friendly, or only friendly to the homosexuals. Generally crowded, and the patrons are mostly gay or gayish. If youre a local, theres a super chill planet fitness down the street thats way cheap and has free massages, awesome staff, but no steam room, and the culture is more health and wellness focused and theres way less men trying to be pretty and so the locker room vibe is way less gayish

The manger is a racist Mexican who sees black people as criminals. The guy called the cops because i left my stuff their over night which included 1 tool from my maintenance job and bolt cutter i used to cut off the lock on my bicycle because i lost the key earlier that day. I guess he assumed because im black that means up to no good. Im pretty sure it was another mexican he wouldve assumed it was because they are day laborers is a good justifying reason.
