Wow. Not sure even where to begin. These guys blew me away! I was driving my beloved 2000 Toyota 4Runner from Sacramento back to my home in Oakland when all of the sudden on the I-80 I lost all power, (this was on a Sunday afternoon). I figured I should just pull over and take the punch for a huge charge and have my truck towed back to Oakland. Thinking quickly, I asked Siri for a "recommended Toyota mechanic - near me". She pulled up Automedic - within 5 miles, and I read through the Yelp reviews. Loved what Yelpers had to say and figured I could limp over to the shop, leave a note and the key and cross my fingers. When I got to the lot, I was pleased to see a similar vehicle in the lot waiting for service, I was good to go. Just as I was placing my key and a note in the mail slot I heard a tap on the window. It was Robert! He was there working on a Sunday! I told him the situation, let him know I expected nothing right away, just to know that my vehicle was safe and that he could, in fact, check it out. I heard back from Robert (actually Matt would be in charge of servicing my "baby") on that Tuesday. They gave me a quick (and ultimately very accurate) diagnosis of my problem. Seems I needed a new catalytic converter. Long story short. They got right to it, quoted me an exceptionally fair price and quickly took care of the repair. I have been lucky enough not to need much in the sense of car repair, but wow, I really felt I got great value here. I have several friends with 4Runners, and while this is not the advertised specialty of Automedic, I can say that I will be seeking them out for all future repair and maintenance. Great experience. I will be recommending these guys to all of my friends. Thanks Robert and Matt, - A very satisfied customer.

First and foremost, I’d like to thank Robert and Matt for the GREAT service. I took my Buick Lucerne to Automedics for repair, because it was leaking an excessive amount of coolant. In addition, the car was overheating. Matt fixed the seal/ gasket and O ring, which was causing the leak. I drove the car for about 100 miles and it started leaking again in a different area. Robert had me bring the car back in immediately. Matt tested the car and my water pump had started leaking. Approximately, 12/2014, Automedics had replaced my water pump, thermostat and coolant elbows. My part was under warranty and Matt ordered it immediately. More importantly, he replaced the water pump immediately. NO CHARGE!! After having a major repair, I was extremely grateful. Well, the next day, my coolant was disappearing, but there wasn’t any fluid on my garage floor. I called Automedics and was told to bring the car back. Matt explained that if I was continuing to lose fluid, then that would mean I had blown a head gasket. OMG!!! Nooooo! Matt was patient and pressure tested the car. The pressure was fine. It has been a day and a half and the coolant is holding steady. I love my Buick, but it is a little leaky. I am going to take it on a long drive today and hopefully the coolant remains steady. I am totally not interested in a head gasket repair. I would like to thank Robert and Matt for the excellent customer service, their honesty and integrity. It is really hard to find a dependable, honest mechanic. If you want a mechanic, who you can trust and that cares about the customers, then Automedics is the place!

Took my truck here twice and will never be visiting again. 1st visit, the mechanic forgot to put the air filter back in the truck, and I didnt notice till 600 miles later. Contacted them and they replaced it. 2nd visit, I had my truck towed there as it was having a loud squeeling noise and sounded like something was burning under the hood. They diagnosed and told me it was the belt tensioner. Had them fix it and then picked the truck up not even 2 miles down the road, the check engine light comes on for the smog pump. Turns out their mechanic unplugged the smog pump (electric clutch) which had seized and was causing the belt to slip around the clutch and make the burning smell. When confronted both times i recieved the same lie. "Well im sorry the mechanic that worked on your truck is no longer working for us." Owner did say if i paid for the smog pump they would install it for free, but i didnt want them to touch my truck again.

Had Automedic replace my front rake pads and rotors.5 months and 14,000 miles later (original brakes lasted 3 1/2 years/ 92,000 miles) my brakes began to shutter when coming to a stop, later that day a metal on metal sound started. I took car to closest honda dealer, they found that the brake pads installed incorrectly, the retaining tabs to be specific, and the heat damage required the pads and hardware to be replaced and the rotors be resurfaced. I contacted Automedic , provided documentation from dealership, and was given excuse after excuse as to why they would not compensate me for repair costs I incurred as a result of them working on my car.

I posted this same review on Yelp. But in case there are any google+ users here ya go! I had a problem with a stuck bolt on my battery terminal and was dreading taking it to a mechanic expecting overpriced labor and hassle. Automedic has changed the way I view Auto Shops. They quoted me at $50-$100 over the phone which I thought immediately was reasonable and in my price range. When I got there the technicians were very friendly and started working on it right away. I was out the door in 30 minutes and was only charged $35 dollars. Fair, Honest, Fast and friendly. I would defiantly recommend this to friends and family.
