*******Anyone between the ages of 18 and 30 know that these guys have NO RESPECT for you******** I wish I could put no stars because these people are HORRIBLE!!!! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY ARE LIARS!!!!!! JOHN, whom I think is their secretary, is their biggest problem. I have multiple cars and still have my first car I ever bought, which I keep repaired and in running condition. I put my first car, a 1993 honda accord, in their shop a couple months ago and its the last time Ill ever go there, after 6 years. :( Heres what happened: I put my car in on a Friday, John the incompetent secretary took down the WRONG telephone number. I have a 916 number and this imbocile took down some 734 area code...Anyways, he said he would call on Monday, didnt and then called on Tuesday after figuring out he took down the wrong number and after digging through my car to find the number he shouldve taken down the first time. He then proceeded to BLAME me for this problem and then began asking me these questions repeatedly: "Havent you been wondering where your car is kid?" "Well?" "Well? Dont you want your car fixed kid?" When I pointed out that he took down the wrong number he then proceeded call me "CHILDISH" and told me that he only took down what I told him. At this point I realized that John is an idiot and decided I didnt need to deal with him anymore as hes just another lowly peon Ive come across in my lifetime. Being 26 years old and beyond this mans maturity by years I told him I didnt appreciate how he was talking to me and that if he couldnt talk to me politely Im sure the shops owner would be happier to deal with me. He told me the shops owner was in but that he wouldnt let me speak to the shops owner and that I would have to come down there. So I did, and when I got there none of them would let me talk to the shop owner, they already had my car out of the bay and at this point I was ready to never talk to or see these losers again, so I left. Just thought I would let anyone between the ages of 18 and 30 know that these guys have NO RESPECT for you. Especially their desk jockey John.

So a few weeks ago I noticed that my 36 Chevy Street Rod was pulling to the right when I was runnn down the road. First thought was to have my front end re-aligned. But when I went to the shop I usually go to (Les Schwab) the told me they have updated their equipment and it will not work on my old car. Tried another shop in town but they couldnt get to me for a few days. Randomly tried Folsom Autotech. "Bob" came out, kicked the tires, listened to my sad tale, then told me "Go home, swap the front tires". If it no longer pulls to the right, you have a tire conicity issue, not an alignment problem. Well, I went home and swapped em and sure enough, now there is an ever so slight pull to the left. But one I can live with. Isnt it great to find an honest place of business where they know what they are talking about and they give you great advice for free and send you home to fix it yourself when, as it this case, its a simple operation? (i.e. they could have easily taken my money).

Horrible place to take your car! My car broke down on the side of the freeway and I had it towed to this place. The people were real friendly and even gave me a free ride to a rental place. But thats as good as they get. It was Friday and they told me there closed on weekends. So Monday roles around and they tell me I need a new transmission. They said it was gonna cost over $3000 for a rebuilt one and that includes labor. Oh and it was gonna take 2 weeks if not more to fix. I called my dad to get some advice and he tells me its a rip off. So I get it towed to the shop my dad recommended and it turns out there was nothing wrong with my transmission. It turns out it was just the radiator hoses or something like that clogged. I really dont know much about cars. I did some asking around and for a brand new transmission plus labor wouldnt even cost that much. Very disappointing. Always do your research before spending a load of money or youll get screwed!

Jim Williams and family at folsom autotech have got it right when it comes to your needs in domestic and japanese car repair and servicing. This is the place that I have taken both mine and my wifes vehicles for the last 3 years. Finally a place that we feel like we can trust to get the best work completed at a fair price. If you are one of those people like me that knows very little about cars and always wonders whether or not you really need the work doing then this is the place for you....their honest evaluations and freindly service have kept me going back time and time again. I have never had to take a vehicle back to them as their work has been top notch each and every time.

Great local business. I have been going here for 10+ years. They are very good at finding and fixing problems. It seems the same mechanics are always working there. They never try to sell me worthless additional maintenance. Even though i dont have a relationship with these guys, I consider them my trusted mechanic. If you are the type of person who takes your car to the dealer, you should definitely give them a try.

Horrible!!!! Took a car there to get a smoke test and they wouldnt do it unless they smogged it. They wanted us to pay to smog it, then pay to smoke test it, and then pay to smog it again! my girlfriend left there crying!!!!! So if thats what you want, go to folsom auto tec

I am VERY particular about where I get my cars serviced. Folsom Autotech is the only place I will take them for anything outside of a routine oil change. Excellent, competent, and honest. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Very good service at a reasonable price. Midas quoted me $1100 for u-joint replacement. Auto tech quoted me at $950. When I picked up the car they charged me about $750.
