I saw an ad on TV for the "Ambassador" special for 249.00. I called this particular location and they told me to bring my car in, and that they would honor that price. The next day I brought my car in for an inspection. The owner David greeted me, and immediately tried switching me to 500 dollar paint job. I told David that I could not afford that, and that I was only interested in the TV ad. He told me that he would no be making any money from that special, and that its not in his interest to do it. After another few minutes, he offered to do the paint job for 400 dollars which included a "prep package". Once again, I told him that Im on a very tight budget, and could not afford anything more than the TV ad. At this point, David just walked away, and said he would not do it for that price. I reminded him that his associate had told me the day before they would honor the TV ad. His response was: "oh, that young girl at the front desk doesnt know anything, shes only here for a summer job". I was extremely upset, and decided to leave. The owner David was totally unprofessional for bad mouthing his own worker, and a total sheist for trying to pressure me into buying a more expensive paint job. My car did not need any extra work, or sanding. The paint had dulled and just needed to be refreshed. I visited the other MAACO location in Fremont, off of Central Ave. and the manager there was more than happy to take my business. He did the work in exactly 3 days, and did not act like a shark in order to squeeze more money out of me. If you want my opinion, stay clear of the Grimmer location.

I have a 1960 Jaguar classic car which I am restoring on a budget. Great hobby! It needed a full paintjob, and a bit of body work here and there. I would not take it to any Maaco, but after having seen the reviews for David Gutierrez and his team in South Fremont, I decided to hand over my jewel in their care. And boy, did they do a good job! From the time I walked through the door, to when I picked it up again, I was treated with respect and professionalism. I was walked through the process and what to expect in great detail, and I was invited to visit as much as I wanted to follow the progress of the project. There were a few body work items that they were not sure they were able to handle. That was made clear to me from the beginning, but they actually were successful in manufacturing the parts in good quality. The paint job is wonderful. They helped me chose the exact, era-correct colors, which must have taken some time. Their prep work was impeccable (thanks Mike!), so the final product came out perfect. The total price for the whole thing came in a bit lower than originally quoted, which of course doesn’t hurt. Please support this fine businessman and his team. You will not regret it.

My Mustang had some paint damage from sitting out in 110+ degree heat last summer, in addition to some flaws that the car had when I originally bought it. I had been trying to sell my car with no luck and figured a new paint job might help it sell. I had gotten a quote from a local body shop at $1000 for JUST my hood and spoiler, and MAACO did my whole car for significantly cheaper (although dont come in thinking youre going to be paying the advertised price of $300-$400 -- labor is an additional ~$400 depending on what needs to be done on your car). I was EXTREMELY pleased with the quality of the paint job, as well as the customer service I received and the time it took to get the car done. I was told the paint wasnt a 100% match to the factory color but had I not been told that I never wouldve known. As for the longevity/durability of the paint, I cant really comment on since I just got the car back yesterday, but the owner David is very confident in his work and I am taking his word for it. Would definitely come back again if I need this type of service again.

I wasnt sure where to go when I got scratches on my first new car, so I checked on google for the best body shop. Maaco was rated very high compared to other places. And it was totally worth it. They helped me fix scratches on my front and back bumpers and the work was very thorough and professional. I felt that the staff here is very honest and there are no hidden charges behind their estimate. If in future, I have to take care of any sort damage to my car, I will definitely consult Maaco. Thanks for your work.

I am very pleased with Maaco in Fremont. My car is about 12 years old and had about 30 minor dings, 1 major ding, and 1 dent. I told them I wanted everything cleaned up, and thats exactly what they did. I feel like they did a very good job. The owner, David, and his shop manager, Myles, have great attitudes and were very pleasant to work with. On top of all of the above, I feel like I was charged a fair price. Between good work, good attitudes, and a fair price, you cant ask for anything more.

My rear bumper was hit by another car. David did estimation for replacing it. The price was really, really good, so I did not shop around as normally I did. David and his team provides great service. The paint was completed in one day! When I pick up my highlander, I couldnt believe that the bumper is painted. They did fantastic work on the color matching. I highly recommend this shop.

Looks like all review above are paid. They hardly dont know - How to handle cars. These guys did a paint job at highlander and it was just third class. They ripped apart under cover of fender while painting so bad and didnt put is back properly at all. Looking at paint job they did even I started to hate my own car - Please dont go to them

Had my 1995 Toyota sprayed last August with 3 coats paint, 3 coats clear AND a Five year warranty. five months later a crack appeared on my hood. I send them a pic and they conclude its body filler coming up via a photo. They will NOT stand behind their warranty. BUYER BEWARE !

David was very patient with me during the estimation process - I asked a ton of dumb questions - and he did a thorough job with a pretty extensive spot paint repair. The price was reasonable and I felt like the procedures were explained well.
