Theres no telling if the positive reviews are authentic or not but this experience with Fisk is the real deal. Brought in a 98 Jeep Wrangler that was a no start. Tried to diagnose the problem ourselves but to no avail. Had AAA tow it to Fisk because they were within the free 7 mile radius. Big mistake. Their diagnostic charge is $180! But we saved $20 with the AAA discount as if thats a great deal. We assumed that fee would apply to the repair costs (should have asked first) but that was not the case. This was on a Friday. Finally got a call back late that day telling us further diagnosis was required for another $360 as they couldnt pinpoint the problem. We said no to that after the original diagnostic fee sticker shock. They were closed on Sat. and Sun. which was a huge inconvenience. They then told us they believed it was the PCM (computer) that needed to be replaced. The part, according to them was $745! Plus labor and reprogramming the PCM for a grand total of $1,060! I asked the girl if she was kidding then told her to keep it there over the weekend since it was late on Friday and wed pick it up on Monday. After some research, we found a pre-programmed PCM online for $279 and all it required was 3 bolts and 3 plugs. Another post mentioned they were offered a free days car rental but no such offer for us. We spoke to a great guy in the shop across the street whom we wish we could have found before Fisk and he told us his diagnostic charge was $75. Buyer beware. Fisk may have good mechanics but youll pay triple the cost. It doesnt matter how long theyve been in business. This was our first and last visit. Never again Fisk.

Jack and the staff at Fisk Automotive are a pleasure to work with. My family and I have been using Fisk for our automotive concerns for over 10 years, which included seven cars. I have always found them to be honest, courteous, very professional and customer orientated. The technicians are well trained and experienced. They only use quality parts and materials. The shop is extremely clean and organized, a sign of attention to detail and caring. They stand behind their work and will to great lengths to make it right for the customer. You might find cheaper prices somewhere else, but I know the workmanship and parts that are used, will be sub par. You get what you pay for! I would not hesitate to strongly recommend Fisk Automotive to anyone who asks for a good honest auto repair shop.

I was looking for an alternative to the dealership for automotive repairs and Fisk was local, so I walked in and explained what I was looking for and why I was there. Jack was honest from the get go and explained he isnt necessarily the cheapest in town but hell always give an honest answer and do good work. Based on that answer, I decided to give Fisk a try. From an automotive repair standpoint, one of the best choices Ive made. They let you know what needs to be done, what the cost will be and what repairs could wait if you need to hold off on that repair for whatever reason. From owner to staff to technicians, Fisk is great a great place for vehicle maintenance and I would and do recommend them to family, friends and strangers alike.

The fine folks at Fisk Automotive did some major repairs on my sons 1989 Ford Ranger. They really had to do some extensive troubleshooting and I was impressed with their responsiveness and follow-through. They were also very conscientious about making sure we understood what they found and what they recommended. About a month after the repairs were done, which included repairing the turn signals, the turn signal lever stopped working. They discovered that it was a different part than they originally repaired (which was working fine at the time), but they replaced it anyway and didnt charge us. I highly recommend this business. They are very honest, friendly and professional.

Integrity, professionalism and customer service! These guys are the best and truly take care of their customers (and their customers cars!) Whether you know nothing about cars or are a true grease monkey yourself, you can be absolutele certain that Jack, Marty and their team will be straight, honest and direct with you about your car and what it takes to make it work again. No scams, no unnecessary repairs, no games, no funny business from these guys! Ive had three different trucks under their care in the past 8 years and I trust them implicity. You owe it to yourself to be a Fisk customer!

Ive been taking our vehicles to Fisk for years. Whether for a routine oil change or some specific problem, they always give the car a once-over to ensure that its road-worthy. I like to take road trips, and the last thing I want to worry about on vacation is being broken down on some Interstate somewhere. Theyre a little pricey, but Im more than willing to pay for that peace of mind. Plus, theyre nice folks, and I like doing business with nice folks.

I needed a quick checkup of a used car I was thinking of buying, but I lived an hour away from the dealer. I asked Fisk Automotive if they could help me out; they handled everything. Extremely easy for me, at a very reasonable charge, and every contact I had with the garage was cheerful and efficient. They said the car was a good deal, I bought it, and I havent had a moment of regret. I highly recommend these guys.

I have been taking my cars to Fisk Automotive for the past seven years. Jack and Marty always treat me well and never over sell. It is great to have an auto repair facility that you trust so much you can throw them your keys and tell them to fix it! They are consistently on time and on budget. I pass many shops on my way to Fisk, but wouldnt consider going anywhere else.
