Very unsanitary and dirty for these reasons: 1. Once I walk in the first thing I noticed is that theres something growing on the ceiling that looks like it could be a threat to public health. 2. The womans bathroom is very disgusting, theres hair, dirt and possibly mold all over the shower floors and what look like shaving residue (and hair) on the shower walls I doubt that this lockeroom gets cleaned at all so ladies, BE CAUTIOUS OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS. 3. The gym machines are hardly cleaned and if youre lucky there may be some sanitary spray and paper towles to use, because the employees there hardly restock or clean ANYTHING. Im definitely relocating to a different gym after my visit, I rather protect my health than to contract a bacterial infection from working out here. My advice to the MANAGER, your employees look like they need something to do, why dont you provide them cleaning products and a ladder and have them clean the locker rooms and the ceilings.

Such a bad gym. I only work out here because its the closest 24 to me =/ Although the parking lot appears to be pretty big, it is difficult to find parking. Treadmills seem to go out of order frequently and a lot of machines seem to be missing pins, Has to be the biggest issue being that when I go upstairs I dont look for which machine I want to use to work a certain muscle. I search for the machine that has all its parts still attached. The ladies locker room has plenty of broken lockers... which always made me reconsider wanting to leave my valuables in there. The bathrooms are NEVER clean, and dont get me started on guessing whatever color of water that is suppose to be inside the jacuzzi. I honestly feel like I should be paying less for my membership for using THIS gym. ,,.For those who forget your ipod. They do bump some pretty good music so I gotta hand it to them there

I hate giving negative reviews but Ive given this place a long time to change some of the problems after speaking with management and there has been no changes. Leaking faucets and non working faucets in the mens restroom have been the same for at least 5 months from my knowledge. Restrooms in general are never clean. Equipment throughout the building takes easily over a month or two before it can be repaired when not working. The staff is good at making sure you put down your number right before walking in but hesitates to help if you ask for sanitizer to clean up some of the machines. The list can go on and on but I think the only reason that this gym is in business is because of its location. Its convenient for a lot of people that Ive spoken to. If you can go somewhere else, it would be wise. If not then good luck.

Even though I was able to finish my workout, I was not impressed from the few seconds I walked in and had to purchase a towel. No where in my membership did they ever mention I would have to purchase towels to use while I workout. No where in the free weight are is it enforced to put your weights/plates back where they belong. Im not gonna lie, I only put some of my weights back, but besides that, all kinds of weights were in the wrong location and they were all over the place as well as the plates.. and dbs were left next to benches so you never knew if that bench was taken or not. And to the couple/workout partners that took the leg press machine that I left my car key & shaker cup next to, THANKS FOR ASKING IF I WAS FINISHED WITH IT. Common gym courtesies, ASSHOLES! How about you try it!

What a damn mess! So many things wrong in this gym. 1.The staff is so uneducated and rude! 2. The workers are dressed as if they are at home relaxing 3.the machines are so dirty 4. The bathroom smells, there is toilet paper all over. 5.There is urine all over the toilet seat. 6.the staff looks like they are high 7.no one helps you! 8.it smells as soon as you go in. 9. The sauna is dirty and everyone goes in with work out shoes. 10.they want to charge you 30$ for a day pass! Oh not to mention the staff is walkin around saggin their pants. (Nobody wants to see your underwear) its disturbing. Point is .. Do not waste your hard working earned money on this gym its the biggest dissapointment and regret you will have ! Someone should really call corporate!

Worst gym ever! 1. Staff is terrible. Been going for 6 months now and not one person has ever said have a nice workout nor on the way out do they say have a nice day. Its as if they look away if they think there might be a chance they might have to say something polite. 2. The equipment is pathetic. Where there are suppose to be grips on bars its just the bar. I once saw a cup of coffee by the cables for one week straight! If something is out of order you best believe it wont be fixed for awhile. So many machines are missing pins where you insert in-between weights. 3. For morning/ daytime downstairs they have on jerry springer and upstairs they have on BET .... Smh... Someone SERIOUSLY needs to give this place attention. Its terrible.

This gym is terrible. Its always filthy with baby roaches in the lockers because the staff lets homeless people store their junk in the lockers for days. The pool water is super cloudy, and you cant see two feet in front of you underwater because the staff lets people get in the pool with their gym clothes on. Some people go to the pool straight from the sauna to "cool down" and get all their sweat in the pool. The Jacuzzi and sauna are full of homeless people that just lay around all day. I tend to go in the morning before the wannabe rappers and basketball players get there who use the gym to play ball and the shower to freshen up. This would be a nice gym if it wasnt full of the most low class ignorant ******* you could find.

The staff is decent (obviously some people have great customer service then others) the gym has been remodeled from the last time I was here which was about 6years ago. So its diffently in good condition! Most of the machines work and of course you have the occasional here and there "out of service" ( but thats because somebody broke it!) The ladys restroom was decent. Note to ppl the gym isnt always going to smell like fresh roses. Unfortunately body sweat and Oder is common when working out. Not to mention peoples lack of personal hygiene which is out of the companys hands! Only reason Im giving it is three and not a five is because I wish they had more classes available the schedule is very small.

So Im a LA fitness member, and recently switched to 24 for the fact that if im paying monthly might as well pay for a gym that I can workout 24/7. I got my trial at Carson, then went to Compton on my second day and Monterey Park, so when I got my membership I went to the Hawthorne gym and it was horrible, out of all the gyms I went I thought Hawthorne was awful, until now I still dont like it there, one of the main reasons is because they NEVER open the room, like I really look forward to that room after im done with machines, but this location never opens the room just for the classes. I would 5 star if the room was open like other locations. Really disappointed
